It has a very Beach vibe with a unique bar stool seating area outside the bar perfect for a warm summer night. The bartender was very welcoming, I'm sorry I can't remember his name, but service was great. If you like additive free tequila or mezcal this is the place for you! Me and my girl will be back for sure“

“Easily my go to favorite place in Oakland and favorite place to bring people that are visiting. All the food is really tasty and affordable. The drink menu is so thoughtful and wonderfully crafted. I like that the place is a giant horseshoe shaped bar so it’s like dinner and a show because these bartenders are working their butts off. One of the best nightlife experiences in the East Bay, hands-down. Oh, also, bonus points for the popcorn machine in the back!“

The vibes here are great, the bartenders are lovely, and they have some great merch for sale! My mom who visits from out of state has bought a tote bag, hat, and sweatshirt from Redfield just so she can flex to her friends back home how awesome this bar is. “Wow! Back in the palace of blended drinks and fine seating arrangements. The frozen drinks were theatrical, but colder than expected. Please sip with caution. The wooden interior reminded me of what it means to be alive. I am wistful for the glittered sea shell toilet seat. Where are they? Please. Someone respond. If you come here, you will leave. “This spot is a lot more informal and hipster than I thought. I wanted a cozy pub-type place with a comfy chair or couch where I could drink a beer and read a book and this fits the bill. I know it's a wine bar but as I'm not really a wine drinker I can't comment on the selections but I'm sure they're fine. Plus they play records on a mostly vintage hi-fi the whole time.
If you like wine, go here. They also have cheese and charcuterie plates and olives etc.
Groovy places like this are pretty rare on this otherwise fairly bleak part of San Pablo Ave. A welcome addition. Cheers!“

“I didn't have any food, so I went here on a Friday night to meet a friend. I had never been to cricket before and now I wanna go back. This bar Toots is a big part of why I wanna go back, it's an amazingly cool dive bar with a back room stage for live music. Last night when I went it was a punk rock band and they were really good. The crowd as you might imagine was colorful and surprisingly diverse. The bar keep was friendly and on it so my drink was never empty, they had a really good porter on tap and it was always filled completely to the rim where you have to sip the top down just to pick it up. I wish I had stayed longer to see how the scene goes, my feeling is it's a great place to hangout on a Friday night, and if you happen to get bored there's like another bar a block or so away you can go between. I saw several small groups of peeps just hanging out together up n down the main drag. Parking might be an issue so either go early or Uber. I loved it!“

“First time going in and the place is bigger than it looks outside. The bartenders are super nice and welcoming. Mostly locals that frequents the place. Seems everyone know each other. Very laid back with outdoor area for pingpong or card games to dominoes and 5 dice, wow! Inside is a jukebox, a dart board game. Over by the corner they have video games. 1 pinball and 1 bowling game. If your not interested with the games they provide, I can almost garantee that someone there will find you and engage in a long but good conversation. The walls and ceiling is draped with one dollar bills all over inside. Interesting to see and count. I'd say there's about 2356 dollars in one dollar bills but not up for the taking.“

Pool tables, juke box, long bar, cheap drinks. They had some special flavored tequilas they were making some nice on-the-fly cocktails with for some in our group, and we were really happy with them.“

I came to support a friend at the jam, Ceasar Myles and the Dreaded Truth reggae band came from the SF peninsula, and the next thing you know we had a Saturday night gig.

The family atmosphere on the Tuesday night jams is amazing, I really can't say anything bad about the place.

As a musician, getting a consistent warm welcome and a plate of food is over the top for me.

“Chinatown can be a daunting place to dine in San Francisco due to its vast authentic cuisine which is unlike anything outside of China itself. I don’t speak or read any of the dialect, but somehow managed to order food and drink that was delicious. I’m pretty sure that we created much amusement for the other diners who were rather interested in the ‘foreigners’ selections. Hey, we’re tourists from the UK enjoying our adventures and are used to ridicule thanks to our lousy corrupt government, it was no big deal. Chinatown, great cuisine in very different surroundings. Highly recommended.“
