My Favorite is a quart of packed Strawberry with a waffle cone on the side. The strawberry has real strawberry is every bite. They have every flavor that you can possibly thing of Mango, Butter Pecan, Pistachio, Black Walnut, Coconut and much much more. The wait time was a little longer than I thought since more people came in after us. Overall, not impressed with the flavor. I would try another flavor though. “My Wife, My Friend, & I, go out on a nightly quest looking for new spots to eat, hang-out, or lick down 😋 some delicious 🍦 ice cream or gelato 🍨... Finding this curbside creamery was a turn around, reverse and flip journey at first but once we found this treasury of a spot we were sold. Not only was the service amazing fun and energetic but come to find out every Thursday they create a NEW SOFT-SERVE Ice Cream 🍦 we got to enjoy the coffee flavor... Hands down the BEST EVER. We will be going next week to see what SoftServe Curbside has in store for us.!!

The cake itself was a work of art but the taste, omg, all my friends were floored. I've also been able to find her slices at Falletti Foods and love all the flavors. I do, however, go crazy for her basque cheesecake. I could have a whole one in one sitting. So luscious, creamy and delicious!“

“Vegan (& Gluten-free) flavors! I loved the pluot, the dark chocolate, and the walnut (that has no pieces of nuts in it, which is really helpful to those like me who can’t have much fiber). Additionally, I found all three flavors more refreshing than (sickeningly) heavy, and the flavors 🤩 🎇—like the grand finale of a fireworks show for the taste buds. I’ve only had about a spoonful of each so far but am in love 😍🤤😋. I didn’t go to the shop, someone brought me some, so I’m not able to give my opinion on the actual shop. From what I heard, though, it wasn’t as crazy as many ice cream places are on hot weekends! 😊“

It almost goes without mentioning, but Passione Caffè is absolutely true to its slogan: “A corner of Italy in Berkeley.” From the food and drink to the atmosphere and the service, this is the only truly Italian café I have found in Berkeley! And that comes from over a year of experience living and traveling in Italy! Besides the beautiful architecture and interior design of Passione Caffè—not to mention its convenient location next to Downtown Berkeley BART—I would like to point out some highlights on the menu. The pastas are all made with homemade, organic noodles and made-to-order sauces. The pasta dishes are so fresh and authentic! The spaghetti with meatballs, their only Americanized dish, is to die for! The pizzas also are also made with home-made dough and gluten-free options are offered. Try one with fresh prosciutto, mozzarella, and arugula! The fresh panini with Italian meats and cheeses round out the lunch menu. “this soft serve truck is so cute and serves the best soft serve by far, with housemade chocolate sauce that hardens to a nice crunch on the ice cream. the addition of salt on it makes the perfect balance. the red truck has such a personality and the folks who work it are always so fun to chat with. and it's local! they even have a teeny tiny cone for kids and the seal is hand painted :) the line can get long, but I promise it's worth it!“

Everyone has their own preferences of course as I prefer the Belgian Waffle over the Bubble. If this is your first time trying Waffles & Cream I would recommend starting off with something simple but delicious such as their Liege Waffle Belgian Delight (Banana, Strawberry, Nutella, House Whip, and Vanilla Ice Cream on top of a Belgian Waffle). If you want something such a single scoop the Cookie Monster is a great option it’s cookies and cream mixed with cookie dough. The new star of the show the upcoming trending Dubai Chocolate covered Strawberries is another great option. Cheaper than many other places with great ratios and quantity of the sweet treat. Overall me and family have had nothing but great things to say about this place since it has opened. I’m glad to see they listen to customers feedback and continue to add more items to their menu to try out.“

“I have been going to Tay Tah cafe for years. Their Breakfast Energizer smoothie is my go-to lunch meal and my husband loves the Banh Mi sandwiches. We are so lucky to have this wonderful cafe in our neighborhood! The owner and employees are super friendly too!

I love the ice cream sandwiches (yuppie prices, but good) - they make the cookie part soft and thin, so it works well with the large chunk of ice cream. The cookie selection is always really great - I love the snowcap cookie and traditional chocolate chip. Went with my friend and he dies for the malt milkshake. I usually walk home after so I don't feel so bad.“

Personally, I find the flavors here to be hit or miss so it may take a while to find something you’ll like. The space is kinda weird but staff is usually super nice. I’m really glad theres finally an ice cream shop on Bay Street and it’s much needed for the area, but of all the SF chains to cross the bay, it’s too bad it had to be this one.

We tend to get salted caramel cacao nib, malted milk chocolate, Vietnamese coffee, secret breakfast, and lavender crumble and go back fairly often.“
