“This is truly a gem of a hole in the wall!! Almost literally, and I say that with respect and appreciation. This cute little eatery is easy to miss, being tucked in a very small strip mall (if it even qualifies as that!) between a small pharmacy and a laundromat, just south of the Arco on the corner of PCH and Pacific. But once you have eaten here, boy oh boy is it hard to forget!I come here about once every other week when I'm on a regular work schedule. Became hooked immediately with their unique bahn mi sandwiches and their pate chaud. Now I'm completely obsessed with their plant-based shrimp spring rolls and their grilled pork bun bowl. That bowl is the perfect balance of light and filling, flavorful and refreshing. It is one of my lunch go-to options. And the plant-based shrimp rolls are AMAZING. Obviously I'm not vegan, but this is an item that I enjoy so much despite it all.I have yet to try their pho. Maybe one of these days. They do have seating inside, but no restroom. Also, parking lot is small and shared, so I avoid coming during peak lunch hours, usually after 1 to pick up my food, and I've had no issues.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, flavorful too!Parking: Parking lot is pretty small and shared with a pharmacy, laundromat and discount store.“

And they even know that I like the fresh soy sauce instead of the pre-packaged one. They are super friendly, and the food Egg Roll are always fresh and delicious. “For some odd reason every time I’m in Long Beach, I tend to search for a Cambodian spot. 1. Its very uncommon anywhere else in L.A 2. Always down to try new food from different cultures! Cambodian cuisine offers a melting pot of Thai, Lao, Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian spices clearly, through the agricultural and spice trade. This is probably the fourth Cambodian restaurant I’ve visited in Long Beach. The vibe and décor are very cultural and cute. It’s a small restaurant with 3 booths, 8 top in the middle and 12 top on the other side. The service was very friendly, the walk to the restroom was interesting because I got to see the kitchen which was filled with aunties and uncles, seemed like a family business for sure!Come during lunch because the specials are worth it!Ordered#17 Khmer BBQ Pork with rice 5/5 – BBQ had a nice glaze to it, paired well with pickled veggies and spicy sauce#24 Mint Leaf Chicken with rice 5/5 – Similar to Thai basil chicken but instead they used mint and even topped it with an egg!#27 Student Noodle 5/5 -Enjoyed how these were served with thin noodles, the flavor was delish (similar to pad thai)The parking lot is small, I was lucky to have found a spot! Give them a try!“

The food was seasoned so deliciously that it was simple to eat healthier. The texture and flavor of their “meat impostors” will trick your palate! My only criticism was the bathroom was not exactly the cleanest! “I was in the area viewing apartments, so I decided to locate a new pho place. This place is spacious, pretty quiet so I enjoyed that. I ordered the steak and brisket pho, I have to start by saying this was the BEST brisket I’ve had in a pho. It was not fatty at all, and super tender but not dry!If you follow me on here, you know the type of pho I like. This one was clean and packed a little flavor. I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had, but the brisket was unmatched. The noodles were fresh and intact too. — On the downside, I ordered the salt & pepper shrimp, but I didn’t like it. I ate one, and they still charged me for it. Not the best customer service I’d prefer, and they asked me about it. So I just thought they’d take care of me. Anyway, I’d go back for the pho if I’m in the area. Also, I want to try the fried rice based off the pics.“

“Been wanting to try this place out. I got a to-go order and ordered the combo number 1, spring rolls and Thai tea. The soup is really good! I love the broth and it's probably one of the best I've ever tasted so far. The spring rolls were good. I wasn't a huge fan of the peanut sauce, but it wasn't terrible. And the Thai tea tasted pretty good! It was a little pricey, more than i had hoped to spend, but mostly worth it when im dying from a cold and want pho lol. I'd recommend this place to people wanting pho and I'd definitely come again. When ordering, the guy on the phone was very nice and when paying as well. All in all, I had a great experience.“

“Very kind people, delicious food! We ordered 2 large pho with raw steak & brisket. The large bowls of pho were only $ 12 - something each. Most places that serve pho start their prices at $13, so we were very pleased with this pricing. I also ordered spring rolls that were about $8 for 3. They brought us the pho first, and about 10 minutes later, we were served our spring rolls with the peanut sauce. The pho was amazing. The spring rolls were very good as well. All of that including 2 Pepsi's came out to about $42. It was very worth it! I also love that parking was not an issue here. I will be returning for more “

“I’ve go to this restaurant at least once a month. Everything on the menu is good. My favorite is the brisket Pho, pork egg rolls, shrimp rice wraps, chowmein and the hot jasmine tea. The hot tea is loose leaf, served in a lil tea pot. So you may pour yourself as you go. They will give you a to go cup for what’s left as well. All the condiments are on the tables already included the chop sticks and straws. They have fountain drinks and drinks in the refrigerator for you to choose. My favorite is the jarrito guava or the parrot guava. They also have glass bottles YooHoo and snacks like chips and chocolate bars at the front. The place is good for kids. My daughter enjoys the quiet ambience and the seating fits your party comfortably. The owner Steve and his wife are amazing nice people. The parking is ample as well. The dipping sauce is a fish sauce with chili. This is a great dish for hot summer days. Fries: Also freshly made and seasoned with salt. Thai tea: Tasted not too sweet and very creamy. Ambiance: Mom and Pop shop with a lot to offer, bakery, Vietnamese dishes, Vietnamese sandwiches, fruits, frozen egg rolls, etc. Staffs are nice. “Nestled in the heart of Long Beach, Pho Long Beach has become my go-to sanctuary during chilly, rainy weather. The inviting warmth of the restaurant, coupled with an extensive menu boasting Vietnamese culinary delights, makes it an absolute gem for those seeking comfort and flavor. One of the standout features at Pho Long Beach is their divine peanut butter sauce. Imbued with a perfect balance of creaminess and a subtle nutty undertone, this sauce elevates every dish it graces. Whether drizzled over their signature spring rolls or as an accompaniment to their savory noodle bowls, the peanut butter sauce adds a layer of richness that transforms each bite into a culinary masterpiece.Speaking of spring rolls, the ones at Pho Long Beach are a true testament to the artistry of Vietnamese cuisine. Fresh, crisp, and bursting with vibrant flavors, these spring rolls are a delightful introduction to the meal. The combination of fresh herbs, vermicelli noodles, and either shrimp or tofu creates a harmonious medley of textures that never fails to satisfy my palate. As a devoted patron, I must give special mention to House Number 11, the restaurant's pièce de résistance. The House Number 11 boasts a carefully crafted blend of ingredients, resulting in a dish that is both comforting and sophisticated. The harmonious interplay of flavors in this special dish reflects the culinary expertise of Pho Long Beach's kitchen. What sets Pho Long Beach apart is not just the culinary excellence but also the ambiance that perfectly complements the dining experience. The cozy interior, combined with the aromatic symphony emanating from the kitchen, creates an atmosphere that is both inviting and comforting. This makes it an ideal retreat during cold, rainy weather when one seeks solace in a bowl of steaming pho or a plate of delectable spring rolls. In conclusion, Pho Long Beach continues to be a beacon of culinary delight, consistently delivering exceptional Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you're seeking refuge from the rain or simply in the mood for an exquisite dining experience, Pho Long Beach stands as a testament to the artistry of Vietnamese flavors, with their peanut butter sauce, spring rolls, and House Number 11 as undeniable highlights.Parking: There's parking in front and around the area plenty of it too!“

“A lot have changed about this place, isn't so great anymore besides their coffee. Today was a little intense, the amount of people gathered around the front entrance and parking lot kind of made you think twice before coming here. Walking by to enter wasn't a pleasant feeling. They stare down at you like pineapple on a pizza, lol. I guess it's a cafe for a reason. If there are no seats inside, no worries, other options are outside and in the parking lot. Management needs to reconsider something. It will definitely drive customers away. Was eager to come back and get that Banh Mi sandwich but was a little disappointed. They used different types of bread, not your traditional "Vietnamese Baguettes, have a pillowy fluffy crumb that is super light and a crackly thin crust." But more of a "French baguettes have a chewier open crumb and have a thicker crunchy crust." It's just the type of bread I'm not used to. It reminds me of a regular cold cut sandwich, which is even a little better. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Drink: 1. 2x Vietnamese Ice Coffee(1 LRG cup) 5/5 The drink is made by passing hot water through the grounds into a cup that already contains condensed milk. Sandwich: 1. #1 Cottage Sandwich Combination 4/5 Jambon, Headcheese and Pate with house Pickle (Daikon & Carrot), Onion, Jalapeno, Cilantro Salt & Pepper, Soy Sauce, and House Mayonnaise. Side Item: 1. 1x Cottage Sausage 3/5 Sausage, slices of cucumber, 1 slice of lettuce, and house pickle. My overall experience was okay. Great customer service 5/5. Atmosphere and vibe interior/exterior 3/5. Food/Drink 4/5. The coffee was on point, super satisfying but not so much on the sandwich and sausage. Everyone have different tastes buds, so I would still give them a try and experience for yourself. Interior is clean and elegant feeling. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!“

“There is free ample parking which is such a bonus. The inside dining area is larger than I expected with plenty of seating, but the tables are a bit small for a party of 5, and too big for two tables to be pushed together (which they were willing to do). We squeezed into one table with 5 chairs and we were fine. Their menu is extensive and it's hard to decide what to order. I settled on an egg noodle soup with cornish game hen. The hen was juicy and flavorful and tiny. But it's small, a tiny leg and breast (and hens are small) so keep your expectations realistic with that so you don't over inflate your imagination like I am sometimes prone to. In looks large in pictures (even mine) though. Now the soup itself did not pack as much flavor. I did, however, add some hot sauce & hoisin provided at the table to give it more depth. But I felt the noodles didn't have that special kick or taste I wanted or expected. Their Pho is good although if you have a big appetite, order the large because the small size is that. At other places, a small always looks larger than one would expect, but here, the sizes are what it is. They have an assortment of sweet drinks and boba and those are good additions to round out the meal. The service is interesting. They're friendly, don't get me wrong, but it's a bit awkward sometimes. They use a computer pad to take orders (instead of pad and paper) and it's slow so while you're ordering, the server will say, "wait...the computer is slow" so you're kind of awkwardly waiting until he's ready for the next person. We giggled (you know, that uncomfortable giggle you share with your loved ones when you all know how each other feels LOL). We were done with our meal and they never came to give us a check so I got up to the cashier and she rang me up. There was a notice on our wall that they offer student discounts so I told her we were with two college students and she asked for student ids. As my boys were digging theirs out (their digital now), she said, "it's okay, I gave it to them.". Alrighty. Again, the interaction wasn't rude, but it was...well...different. Like I said, not unfriendly, but not we'll-go-out-of-our-way either. And it's fine. Also, if you prefer a fork instead of chopsticks, they do have forks on a self-serve table near the cashier area, along with extra napkins. It's an established neighborhood Pho restaurant and I would come back. Always happy to support a small business.“
