“Just came back from a weekend in Manhattan where we had the best Italian dinner ever (Carmine's). Their chicken parmesan was so good. Since my daughter's favorite food is anything Italian, we thought we'd try the local restaurant. They had chicken parmesan on the menu so I thought I'd try it. Wasnt expecting much because I was spoiled by Carmines. It was good... not as big a portion but plenty ... the chicken was pounded flat, lightly battered, and covered with parmesan. And the sauce on the penne was really good. A great surprise. And even the appetizer, the calamari was fresh, on a salad with capers ... really good. great local find“

“Very nice and happy service.... I don't get to stop by that often but I remember the last few times I did I was very impressed by the good energy and respect that I felt shopping at this location. The food is amazing and the staff is amazing also. The cashier lovepreet was amazing he ran down all the promotions and if you have a phone number on file you can get discounts on food and gas etc. Offered me free Fuji water and everything they had to offer.... This is one of the happiest gas stations in San Ramon. Don't take my word for it, go see for yourself. There's a little old Chinese woman that works there she is sweet as pie.“

“Randomly walked in while I was looking for food during a stay at the hotel next door, and was very happy I did. Place was only 20% occupied in a Friday night, so service was very personal and attentive. The food was among the best sushi I've ever had in the Bay Area. Also pretty unique and just a little different from other places. I will say they the price level is also just a tad higher (rolls around $20 and some significantly higher), but I totally see this justified by the quality of the food. Overall, very highly recommended. I would certainly go back if I was staying in the area again.“

“I tried Tides for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Had the oysters, steak skewers, crab cakes and sea bass. The food was very good, although the steak skewers and crab cakes were only moderately warm upon arrival. Sea bass was excellent; but definitely could have been bigger for the price point. Oysters were on point and excellent as well. Amazing service by the waiter as well as well as the hostess. The birthday card and complimentary dessert were a nice touch. Upscale, trendy interior. “If you’re looking for amazing Chinese food, Mayflower is the place to go. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding, and the portions are generous—definitely great value for the price.

The highlight for me is the Peking duck. It’s perfectly prepared, with crispy skin, tender meat, and all the traditional accompaniments. Easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere.

Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere made the dining experience even better. The bus boy named Christian went out of his way to keep us our table clean and refilling our drinks.

“We went to this place for the first time, not expecting much. It just looks likes a generic place in a shopping strip from the outside. When we entered, we immediately saw how clean it was and how friendly everyone was there. They were very attentive throughout the course of our meal as well! They have a little robot that brings your food out to you but the server is right there ready to get the food off of the robot waiter. The food was absolutely divine! We got the fish and a shrimp dinner instead of the combination plates. The salads were great as well! Overall, our experience was extremely satisfactory and I would recommend this place to anyone. It was a delightful surprise!“

This visit nothing caught my interest on the specials so I was able to try a regular menu item I had not tried before. “The gym is great. Pretty much everything you could ask for. Giant tennis area, 2 basketball courts, lots of cardiov machines, yoga studios with lots of classes, I usually don't have to wait for anything in the weight room. The big drawback is the cost. Very expensive membership. I wouldn't be going here if I had to pay for cost of membership.“

“Stopped by Bronzes Taqueria and was really impressed! I ordered a mix of tacos and a sope, and everything hit the spot. I asked for the tripa tacos extra crispy, and they absolutely delivered perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The lengua tacos were tender and tasty, and the asada sope was the star of the meal.

The sope is what earned them the full five stars for me. The lettuce was fresh, the cheese and cream had great flavor, and the shell itself was incredible deep fried but not greasy, with a soft, satisfying bite. If you’ve never had a sope before, it’s like a deep-fried corn bowl, and Bronzes nailed it better than most places I’ve tried.

Portions are generous I didn’t even finish all my tacos because I was full after the sope and three tacos. Great flavors, great portions, and solid service. Highly recommend giving this spot a try!“

“Great atmosphere, serving staff is friendly and on point with ensuring you have what you desire and the food was phenomenal. I had the lamb chops with mint jelly and sautéed spinach. Lamb chop cooked perfectly that it melt in your mouth with tons of flavor. My raspberry lemon drop was a bit on the strong side but when I made mention they remedied it by adding a little more simple syrup … perfect.“

“I had dim sum today. In general, the food is comparable with Koi Palace and Mayflower nearby. The pan-fried bun is a nice surprise (the bun is soft & fluffy); the deep-fried tofu is crispy. I didn't try any expensive items but for regular dim sum, it is very tasty and top quality.“

“They’re reliable! Been going here for about 8 years now. It seems to be ran by a Chinese couple there, very kind folk. Always a smile on their face when I see them. It’s a super no-frills hole-in-the-wall call—ahead type dealio. Our regular items are:

1. Beef chow mein
2. Beef or house chow fun
3. Fried Rice
4. Beef and Brocolli
5. Sweet and sour pork
6. Fried pork wontons
7. Shrimp egg foo young - recent pick-up

& some refrigerated Dr. Pepper cans! Call ahead about 15-20 minutes and they’re always pretty good about getting done by then. Sometimes I wait a little extra but it’s because they’re a bit busy for dinner time.“

“It’s good to find a neighborhood restaurant that serve Szechuan/chongqing spicy dishes. The price, service & atmosphere are good. Some dishes like the chongqing style fried chicken, spicy beef in chili sauce and toothpick lamb are great. Some dishes are ok, but really disappointed with the cold dishes. Especially fu qi fei pian that should be the most remarkable cold dish was pretty blend and the slices are too thick“

We came here before 11am shortly after opening on a Sunday and there was no wait. We decided to try their entrees and skipped the dimsum.

The salted fish chicken eggplant claypot took a long time to come, it came at the end and the eggplants were burnt on the bottom and the skin was tough to chew. It was also submerged in a lot of oil but tastewise it was okay.

The satay beef chow fun was good, it was actually runny and not too salty. The pineapple was a nice touch, we just weren't a big fan of the red bellpeppers.

Japanese style beef cubes with fried silken tofu was really good, the sauce is slightly sweet and savory and not too salty. We really liked this one.

All 3 dishes were in the low $20s, and more than enough for 3 people. We had leftovers to go.

There is free dessert! Choice is mango pudding or grass jelly.“
