Now, it's always packed, so be prepared to wait, especially on weekends and during dinner hours – but trust me, it's worth it! “I have colleagues who rave about this place. It did live up to the expectations. I came with other colleagues who really enjoyed their food. I had the opportunity to order the Sunrise on 17th. It was full of good sushi rolled around crab. No rice in this dish. It was presented really well and the taste was very fresh. I would order this again and recommend it to all sushi lovers. I had the opportunity to have the baked mussel and that was very tasty. Baked just right with a little Kewpie and eel sauce. What was disappointing was that I ordered a hot green tea and drank 3/4 of it only. This tea cost me over $4 that came in a little cup that was slightly bigger than a traditional tea cup. All would have been okay but that price for green tea certainly left me leaving fuming. I am a big fan of sushi but this place is good but not good enough to make me want to revisit.”

It was a hot day, but the beautiful outdoor dining area was cool and breezy underneath the beautiful trees. Our waitress was knowledgeable, wonderfully friendly, and attended to all our needs. Each of us ordered a different item on the menu and I had to taste everything. I had the Spanish omelette, which was delicious, the burger seems like a very popular item understandably because that along with the delicious fries was exceptional. Enchiladas with mole were a wonderful treat, and the French toast was probably the hit of the table. This wonderful brunch dish was not exceptionally sweet, which made it so perfect. Some places just overdo it with the sweetness. We will definitely be going back many times to tryout dinners and more of the selections on all of the menus. “We live almost equidistant between two Carl’s Jr locations, but we almost always go to this location on 17th Street in Santa Ana because of the spectacular service! Specifically, Itzchel (Shelley), who’s almost always manning the window when we go there for dinner at least twice a week — she is a real asset to the company! Her happy smile and great service puts a smile on my face too!
We’re retired seniors, on the dreaded “fixed income”, and the coupons keep us returning week after week, in addition to Shelley’s kind and helpful attitude. Cooking is a real pain now that there are just the two of us; and the coupons make it affordable to eat out.”

The parking lot set the tone for our visit: No Pokéstops, no gyms, just one actual, real-life “shiny Rattata” sprinting across the pavement like it had a hot date. Honestly, we respected its hustle.
But enough about parking lot wildlife—the carne asada tacos were the real stars of the show. Tender, juicy, packed with so much smoky flavor that our taste buds filed a formal thank-you letter. The tortillas? Soft, warm, and perfectly built to hold uno, dos, tres tacos without structural failure.

My favorite is the white pizza which is elegant and tasty Although I preferred using a few ample shakes of the garlic salt on the counter to amp up flavor. Four solitary tables sit outside and I must admit that it's not exactly a welcoming café vibe with almost no shade but it's better than nothing or than sitting inside the dark, some might call it creepy, interior. I was so excited when I heard they were franchising out into Epic Wings and opening up more locations. “First time going here for a work meeting. The menu was limited to only a few selections. The presentation was good. I got the Avocado toast, and a Horchata Latte, which I did enjoy. It is a very small location and hidden too.”

“Holy cow. I was blown away with today’s meal. The food was all well prepared. Zero food quality issues. Every single item was spot on. The drinks were spot on. Customer Service was spot on- I just now realized I messed up the tip. I was not paying attention and there was a donation thing and then there was the tip. Omg I so messed up- so sorry! Booth was perfectly clean. Manager came by to say hello….. we ordered way too much food…. But get this. We had 4 plates of food we shared and two large glasses of wine and it was less than $60. It was actually $50 something. 2 ordered of the 2 for 25 and 2 generous pours of wine. 🍷. I do not live in the area and did a special trip to meet a friend. I think I might make Applebees the place for friends and fun! My only thing is im generous sized and the table was tight. My asthma kicked in a few times and my coughing rocked the table. Nothing big but - lol. I need a fat booth for my eating times!! FYI. I got a burger. I had no idea it would be a great - fried/smashed style with good pickles and onion and lettuce and cheese. It was very very good. Kinda like a naughty indulgence item. You know…. With melty cheese…. A bit of burger sauce…. It was very wonderful. I have to admit that the boneless wings AND fries with the burger were much LARGER than I anticipated. Truth is it was so much FOOD! If you are 1 person it’s fine but you will have lots of take -home. The fries are way better than in and out. We got a special treat and got their tartar sauce. Omg. On fries it’s delicious! ♥️♥️♥️♥️. A couple of asks. If you go in rush hours do not expect this amazing service—- and if you are a smart person- go on a weekday as an early lunch/ late lunch. If you have ever followed my elite yelp days or my Google Reviews- I’m a hard ass. So this spot is a secret gold mine. Please keep it that way- 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫”
