“I’m a weekly regular at Hungry Bird — and honestly, it’s earned every single visit. The hand-pulled noodles are incredibly satisfying, and the charcoal-grilled skewers are some of the best I’ve had. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently great. Highly recommend — just go!“

“Had such a great meal at MIAN Artesia. If you enjoy authentic Sichuan food with bold flavors and handmade noodles, this place is definitely worth visiting.
We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was packed with flavor. The Signature Spicy Beef Noodles had a rich and numbing broth with tender beef and perfectly chewy noodles. The Dan Dan Noodles were savory, nutty, and had just the right amount of spice.
One of my favorite dishes was the Mung Bean Jelly Noodles in Chili Sauce — refreshing, slippery, and perfect for warm weather. The Sichuan Popcorn Chicken was crispy and flavorful with fragrant chili seasoning, and the mustard sauce paired really well with it.
We also tried the Chicken Cutlet Donburi, which came with crispy chicken over rice and a fried egg, plus the Chili Oil Chicken and House Special Lamb, both full of bold Sichuan spices and great flavor.
For dessert, the Sakura Milk Pudding was soft, creamy, and beautifully presented. The drinks were also refreshing, especially the Orange Passion Fruit Iced Tea and the Lychee Cup with jelly and boba.
Overall, the food was flavorful, authentic, and satisfying. Great atmosphere, delicious noodles, and definitely one of my favorite Sichuan spots in the area.“

“Had a yummy dinner with great service in a lovely setting. We love the hot and sour soup here and the lemon yuzu scallops are my absolute favorite! Love the beef rolls and the cauliflower dish too. Truffle xiao long bao are so fragrant and yummy! Everything is always delicious. The sticky rice drinks are so good too! One of my fav toppings anywhere! Always a delicious meal.“

“Food is delicious and fragrant. Chili oil is authentic and actually has spice and taste, not that mild stuff other places have. The beef in the fried noodle dish is tender and delicious, the sauce is fragrant. Cats ear noodle did take a longer time to make, but it's all hand made. Can't complain.
My husband got the lamb organ soup and the broth is milky white. The soup is extremely clear tasting and not gamey. Hand pulled noodle texture is on point. Not too soft, chewy.
Speciality fried pork was great and had that authentic north west vinegar sauce and taste.
There was a super annoying customer last night and the staff handled the situation very well. My husband was annoyed for the staff. Props to the restaurant. 10/10.
If you're dining in for the first time:
-Staff does not speak English, do some research on Xian cuisine and checkout their menu beforehand so you understand what dishes to expect
-They accept cash
-Water is self service
-Staff is not intentionally being rude, there's a cultural difference between Chinese and western dining service
-They don't bring utensils out because they're already at your table
-If you have any type of food allergies or dietary restrictions it's up to YOU to figure it out and not the staff“

“MR DRAGON NOODLE HOUSE delivers an outstanding noodle experience that easily earns a full 5 stars. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, with a casual, comforting vibe that sets the tone for a great meal.
The noodles are the highlight—rich, flavorful broth paired with perfectly cooked noodles that have just the right texture. Whether you go with a classic beef noodle soup or a spicier specialty bowl, each dish is packed with depth and balance. The toppings are fresh and generous, especially the tender meats and crisp vegetables that add great contrast in every bite.
Service is quick and attentive without feeling rushed, and the staff does a great job of making sure everything comes out hot and fresh. Portions are satisfying, leaving you full but not overly heavy.
Overall, MR DRAGON NOODLE HOUSE stands out as a go-to spot for comforting, high-quality noodle dishes that are consistent, flavorful, and worth coming back for.“

“If you want authentic Burmese Food, go there. Not pricy, yummy food and warmly welcoming environment.
I really wanted Shan noodle with Tofu but mostly Burmese Restaurant only offered Shan Noodle, but this one has it. So I ordered Shan Tofu Noodle and it’s so fresh. Monhikha is good but texture is thick.
The place is hard to find as it’s really small inside. Waiting time for food is so long, for me, I waited for about 20 25 mins to get my food after already ordering. The lunch special deal is good one.“

“The thickest and girthiest sushi rolls I've ever had and it was fantastic.
The staff and service was incredible! Big shout out to Crystal** our server and John the owner for making us feel extremely welcomed and very well fed.
My personal fave was the I LOVE JASMINE roll named after the owner's wife and the Daniel San roll named after the owner's son!
It's a family of great taste forsure!
Also loved how amazing the ambiance was, a GIANT screen to watch the game, plenty of fun decorations that made the space feel fun and alive!
I must come back for the happy hour specials!!“

I ended up trying the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio and Com Bo Luc Lac , and wow, they were both incredible! the spring rolls crispy, and the beef was tender and flavorful. Everything felt fresh and full of authentic Vietnamese flavor. On top of that, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, it really made the whole meal even better. “Came with a friend as a play date with our kids my and we had so much food we couldn’t finish! Got the dooki combo. The ddukbokki was served on a heating dish so it would stay hot throughout the meal. My kids devoured the dooki rice and cheese balls. The chicken was the sleeper hit though... So crispy and piping hot and perfectly seasoned.“

“A solid spot for comforting Taiwanese food. I ordered their Fujian style fried vermicelli, beef noodle soup, and pan fried pork baos — everything was beyond flavorful. Even the noodle texture surprised me by being quite “QQ” (al dente in Chinese). Also, the servers were beyond kind, constantly bringing me hot water and napkins! Definitely recommend trying P P Pop!“

“Yummy pho! Super clean restaurant and great service. I have tried both the chicken pho and the beef pho. Chicken pho is so good especially with the fried donut. I like getting dark meat only. Their garlic fish sauce pairs so nicely with it. For the beef pho, they only have it with the rare steak but the broth is so good and flavorful. Highly recommend!“

“Surprisingly bountiful and delicious.
The style is from Lanzhou, China. Particularly in the Gansu Province, where once the Silk Road ran along the only major city through which the Yellow River runs. Traditional hand-pulled noodles with a variety of offerings and flavors. A favorite is their house special, Beef Noodle. This differs from other Chinese variations with a clear type of broth and choice of spice levels offered here. There is also a focus on Halal meats.
Lamb is also a regional favorite; if you choose this, you should be pleasantly surprised.
There are also a number of side dishes of vegetables, Beef Rolls, and a most lovely order of steamed dumplings.
The service is good with their limited staff at times. There are many take-away orders, which is often a sign that there are more customers who appear. Parking is plentiful in this shopping plaza, making this a great choice to catch a movie and a nice meal.“

“the restaurant is super clean. If you show up thinking you're going to order Orange chicken, Broccoli beef, kung pao chicken or any of that chinese fast food then this is not the place for you. BUT if you're looking for some delicious mouth watering dumplings cooked in various forms then you're at the CORRECT place. I brought my mom here and we tried the pork chive regular dumplings, the pan fried beef and cumin dumplings and the regular fried rice. All of it was delicious. Also they give you a complimentary bowl of egg drop corn soup. NOT a small bowl but a good size portion, it was GOOOOOD. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family and I want to try the beef noodle soup. DON'T fall asleep on the fried rice.“

“I enjoyed this place a lot. It was a little bit hard to find at first, as it is located above the supermarket. The server was very friendly, helping me to find a good vegetarian option. “I went to this place in San Gabriel a lot of times for eating their noodles. I really like their soup base, it is very delicious. The noodles in one order is a lot so you can totally become full after eating one bowl. Ludingji has opened for so many years in LA and their reputation is always good. Their price is reasonable as well. Highly recommend to go and try!“

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“
“your wonton wraps were flexible and easy to shape. they hold together wonderfully when boiling, taste great and have a good mouth-feel. they are top notch. Imagine my disappointment when I tried to use your gyoza wraps; some too dry to use; many were stuck to the one next to it (NOT an easy peel). the combination of too dry and stuck-together made for a lot of torn wraps, necessitating that I patch them together using scraps of ones that didn't stay in one piece in order to finish making the gyoza. Such wildly different quality makes me wonder if I got unlucky with the gyoza wraps, or lucky with the wonton wraps.“

“Prince Dumpling really impressed me. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out fast and fresh. The standout for me was the sky‑high beef cubes—perfectly seasoned, tender, and easily my favorite dish of the night.
The whole experience felt smooth and enjoyable, and I’d definitely come back to try more of the menu. One tip for anyone visiting: wear long sleeves. The AC runs cold, so you’ll enjoy the meal a lot more if you’re not freezing.
Overall, great food, great service, and a spot worth returning to.“

It was goodSmall sausages - was pretty good. I attached pictures below. It was clean, decently friendly and simple menu along with good customer service.“

“Lu Yi Xian is located in what looks like a office building. At first there looks like there's very limited parking (the entrance is on the north side on Valley Blvd), but there's actually more parking underground.
The main dining room is a bit small, but they have a secondary adjacent dining room. Not sure how large as I didn't go in there. The vibe is very mom and pop, clean, with some fun simple decorative touches.
The food however is the main standout of this place, especially the Beef Noodle. It's deliciously savory, slightly sweet and not the usual salt bomb that most noodle soups tend to be. The noodles are springy and have great bite, like al dente pasta. The vegetables are fresh, not overcooked. And the beef...oh the beef! It's wonderfully seasoned and braised until its silky and tender. Plus you get a very healthy portion of it. This is the main reason you should come here.
I also recommend the Tofu Skin with Cilantro. It's fragrant, simple, fresh and satisfying. If you order the potstickers, be warned that you get four but they are much much larger than most places. I ended up taking them to go.
All and all this place is well worth the price. It's not a super fancy place, but the food is fantastic.“

“I shall Thai my best, to find something good for lunch
Occupying the former location of Hanako, we've dined at the second previous tenant of this address, prior to Hanako. I've been meaning to come by Pudtarn Thai Cuisine because I'm a huge fan of Thai food, and Lunch Specials are an affordable option. This day seemed just the moment to try another local Thai restaurant for takeout.
Lunch Special Pad Thai-
Choice of protein (beef + $1, shrimp + $2), with rice, salad & egg roll. Oh, how have I missed pad Thai. Pudtarn's version hit the spot for my Thai food fix. Had the perfect amount of sour to sweet. Portions were generous, too.
Chicken satay-
Five tender, succulent sticks of chicken, served with creamy peanut sauce. Great accompaniment to the noodles, the pieces of chicken were delicious, especially when smothered in the sauce.
Service was good. A good amount of seating inside, the wait for takeout wasn't too long, since I was the first customer of the day. Parking can be somewhat difficult to come by, as some spaces are designated for the business in front of them. Hard to find on it's own, Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is located west of the car wash on the corner of Bloomfield & Centralia.
Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is a solid Thai eatery, and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting, again, in the near future. Their lunch specials are affordable, and provide an ample amount of food. Pudtarn Thai Cuisine has earned their spot in my food rotation list.“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“

“**Authentic Shanghai flavors are surprisingly hard to find in Southern California, but this is one restaurant I keep coming back to. Since its days at Fullerton Plaza, it has built a loyal following, and even after relocating to Rowland Heights, the quality and flavors remain as good as ever.**
This visit was all about classic Shanghai dishes, and every one of them delivered.
The **pork soup dumplings (xiaolongbao)** are a must-order. Served piping hot, the wrappers are thin yet resilient enough to hold the rich broth inside. Take a small bite, sip the flavorful soup, then enjoy the tender pork filling—absolutely satisfying. The true test of a great xiaolongbao is the soup, and this place has maintained remarkable consistency for over a decade.
First-time visitors should not miss the restaurant’s signature **giant crab roe soup dumpling**. About the size of your palm, it makes quite an impression when it arrives at the table. A straw is provided so you can first savor the abundant crab-infused broth before enjoying the delicate wrapper and filling. Rich, savory, and interactive, it's both delicious and fun.
The **Yulan fried rice cake** is a classic Shanghai snack. Its glutinous rice exterior is fried to a beautiful golden crisp while remaining pleasantly chewy inside. Filled with juicy seasoned pork, it strikes a wonderful balance between sweet and savory flavors. The more you chew, the more its distinctive aroma unfolds—a nostalgic taste of old Shanghai.
The **Wuxi-style spare ribs** were another highlight. Slow-braised until incredibly tender, the meat falls off the bone with ease. The sweet-savory sauce fully penetrates the ribs, creating the signature Jiangnan flavor that keeps you reaching for another piece.
The **stuffed gluten puffs with pork** brought back childhood memories. The gluten absorbs the savory braising sauce, becoming soft and springy, while the hearty pork filling inside adds satisfying texture and flavor. Every bite feels comforting and familiar.
The **shepherd’s purse dumplings** have remained consistently excellent over the years. The shepherd’s purse is fragrant and fresh, paired with just the right amount of pork filling. Flavorful yet never greasy, it’s the kind of comforting homemade dish that never disappoints.
To finish, we ordered a bowl of **sweet rice wine soup with glutinous rice balls**. The fermented rice aroma is delicate and balanced, while the rice balls are soft and chewy without being overly sweet.
Keeping a restaurant open for more than a decade is no easy feat. What’s even more impressive is its commitment to preserving the familiar flavors of Shanghai all these years later. From soup dumplings to traditional Shanghainese specialties, from Yulan cakes to shepherd’s purse dumplings, every dish reflects genuine care and craftsmanship.
For many longtime customers, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a taste of home and a connection to cherished memories. The address may have changed, but the Shanghai flavor that people have loved for over ten years remains exactly the same.“

“Tang was exactly what we were craving after a night out. The portions were generous, and the side dishes complemented the meal well. Since the soups already include rice noodles, I skipped out on the extra rice.
We ordered the soondae guk and the galbi tang. The galbi was rich and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was the soondae (blood sausage). The texture was different, filled with a mixture of pork blood and noodles.
Overall, it was a great dining experience and a perfect choice for a morning comfort meal. Definitely a spot worth returning to.“
