“Ruben's is a solid, reliable taco truck in this area. Whether it's past midnight or it's pouring rain or incredibly windy, I can always rely on Ruben's being there. I think where Ruben's really shines are the non-standard menu items that you wouldn't normally find at a taco stand. For example, I often get their California Burrito because everything is made fresh-to-order, so it's great to have some incredibly crispy fries with every bite. I've also started getting their Wet Burrito too--that thing is massive and comes with a nice heaping of enchilada sauce. Both burritos come with chips and salsa too, which is a nice touch. Lastly, their Fish Tacos and Shrimp Tacos definitely deserve some recognition. I think they are some of the best you can get in LA for the price, and they come with very generous portions. The staff have always been very nice there, and they have some folding tables and chairs setup but it's mostly a take-out crowd at Ruben's. Go check out Ruben's!“

The brisket was moist and tender and the ribs absolutely fell off the bone. Don’t skip the mac and cheese or the greens. “I attend a family gathering, they served food from HomeState that was so delicious, I just had to write about it. A pre-order for 2 dozen tacos, tortilla chips and toppings was served. The tortillas were handmade and filled with a variety of protein, cheese and beans. Each was individually wrapped in foil and clearly labeled for your convenience. The food has a "Texas" flair to it, featuring brisket, pinto or black beans, diced potatoes, pickled red onions, Pico de Gallo, and vegetarian options too. I chose the "Don't Mess with Texas" soft taco. It was filed with Charro beans, bacon, potatoes and cheddar cheese. You can also buy a dozen flour tortillas as a side and save them for the next day! So worth the price ($8 a dozen). They are open 7 days a week, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try them and you will want to go back for more. Don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!“

“I literally think about these tacos all of the time, they were so good. I got the cheese and egg plus the beef and cheese, both were amazing. The house made tortillas were super soft, cheese was melty, salsa was fresh and tangy plus the meat was flavourful and not greasy. My three year old daughter and hubby also loved them as well. I really enjoyed the cookie milk iced coffee as well, just heavenly. I wish I could go back literally now lol see you someday soon, Homestate!“

“I used to have one of these up the street from my house and loved eating there at least once a week. So when I moved up to LA, I see my next to the grocery store. Even 15 years later, the food still taste as good and fresh as it did back then. A lot of restaurants start declining. Baja fresh is the same good food healthy just not low on the budget. I eat a lot so normally I would go for the tacos and the chicken nachos. That's like eating two meals and about 25 bucks. I still think the term worth having it every once in a while for me.“
