“We tried the Burrito, and I had the Fish Soft Taco, which I loved. However, the beef bowl with avocado, beans, rice, peppers, and tomatoes in this shop, it felt like too much going on flavor-wise. On the bright side, we enjoyed the delicious pineapple juice. The server is nice and I asked to get another Juice and he said pay after when we are done, he told me next time. Thank you for the treat! Overall, it was a good experience at Roberto’s Taco Shop in Santee.“

“The food is always good and the employees are always very friendly. I have gone to several IHOP restaurants in the area, but this one is my favorite. I will travel to this one even when I am closer to one of the other ones in the area. Of course when I'm done I can walk across the parking lot to Trader Joe's which is a bonus. This is one of my daughter's favorite restaurants.“

“Our first time here. My husband was trying to find somewhere near by to eat Brunch. He came across this place on Google. Let me tell you this place did not disappoint. Greeted right away and sat. We choose to sit inside but you can dine outside if available. Our server Jasmine came right away to our table and introduced herself plus brought water to our table. She then ask for any additional drink order right away. I had questions if nondiary was available for coffee and there were two choices. I did get to enjoy my coffee with almond milk. We order our food and it came out looking so delicious plus refreshly made. The service and atmosphere was great! If you are ever in the area definitely stop by to check it out!“

“Most amazing brunch we have had in a long time. Our server, Valentina, was absolutely amazing and super nice. We were just overwhelmed by the welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful place. Mind you, the food was out of this world including my Bloody Mary, which was served with a freshly roasted jalapeño and two strips of very crispy bacon, sticking out out of the top along with some delicious mint leaves. “Food was good. I was able to get a nice, very full, 3 egg white omelet with spinach mushroom tomatoes and a pretty topping of Avocado slices.
(The old cholesterol needs to come down, so it was my best bet)
Decent size fruit cup.
Didn't have that "cooked on a grill with layers of grease from a hundred other breakfasts" taste.

Also added the Fluffy French Toast, which seems to be my "latest craving - could eat it anytime food." (I cheated. Just half the slice)

And the bread is "fluffy!" At least the size of 2 big slices of regular bread. Different & good.

I loved my waitress, Lizzie. She had the sweetest smile and was very attentive to our table and extras we would need.

The menu looks newer and it's a nice upgrade they did. Also, a nice change from eating at another
Diner favorite a lot.

This IHOP on North Second Street/Oakdale, El Cajon, is my favorite one & I would recommend it.
It can be noisy when the kids are eating, but, hey, so is Disneyland!“

“Went here on veterans day for the free breakfast pancakes, eggs, and bacon/sausage and thought it would be a nightmare with all the people already waiting on a table. It was nothing short of a great experience. They got us seated a lot quicker than expected. Our order came out quickly. And the quality of the food was surprisingly perfect. Best pancakes I've had in a while. Gonna have to return again soon.“

“Buttermilk pancakes here are always good, Good prices and a bigger selection of syrups than other places. The day I went one of the servers was having problems with her girlfriend, It was pretty crazy she pulled up in a truck talking crazy to her girlfriend and throwing her lunch that she had brought. I'll never forget that felt sorry for that girl getting humiliated like that at work but the good thing is it happened as we were leaving.Besides that episode it's usually pretty easy going, Nice clean environment and workers seem very cool. “Giving them 5 stars because im grateful. I stopped for a quick drink ($8 shake to go on a small cup- a bit steep).but I forgot my purse and im super grateful the server/hostess/cashier...(superman one man show) had it in the back and returned it to me. So grateful for the honesty.
This is still my spot to have coffee w some pancakes and catch up with friends and always get good service. Although I always feel bad for the person working there because they are understaffed.
