“We tried the Burrito, and I had the Fish Soft Taco, which I loved. However, the beef bowl with avocado, beans, rice, peppers, and tomatoes in this shop, it felt like too much going on flavor-wise. On the bright side, we enjoyed the delicious pineapple juice. The server is nice and I asked to get another Juice and he said pay after when we are done, he told me next time. Thank you for the treat! Overall, it was a good experience at Roberto’s Taco Shop in Santee.“

“Another good breakfast. Food was par for IHOP. Miss the days of multiple flavored syrups on the table. We came during a busy time and only had to wait 20 minutes. Our server was Kelsey and she worked her butt off giving great service to all her tables. She definitely got her steps in and I’m not sure she stopped moving the whole time we were there. Nice young lady, pleasure to be served by her. We will be asking to be in her area on our next visit.“

“Most amazing brunch we have had in a long time. Our server, Valentina, was absolutely amazing and super nice. We were just overwhelmed by the welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful place. Mind you, the food was out of this world including my Bloody Mary, which was served with a freshly roasted jalapeño and two strips of very crispy bacon, sticking out out of the top along with some delicious mint leaves. “I've been wanting to try this cute little country cafe for a while now. So glad I finally had the chance! It is small and cozy, seats about 30 people. The staff were inviting and super friendly! I ordered the basic french toast and eggs and my eggs were cooked to perfection and I'm super picky about how they are cooked :) The homemade salsa was delicious and had the perfect kick to it. I will definitley be stopping by again to try the biscuits and gravy everyone has been raving about!“

“Food was good. I was able to get a nice, very full, 3 egg white omelet with spinach mushroom tomatoes and a pretty topping of Avocado slices.
(The old cholesterol needs to come down, so it was my best bet)
Decent size fruit cup.
Didn't have that "cooked on a grill with layers of grease from a hundred other breakfasts" taste.

Also added the Fluffy French Toast, which seems to be my "latest craving - could eat it anytime food." (I cheated. Just half the slice)

And the bread is "fluffy!" At least the size of 2 big slices of regular bread. Different & good.

I loved my waitress, Lizzie. She had the sweetest smile and was very attentive to our table and extras we would need.

The menu looks newer and it's a nice upgrade they did. Also, a nice change from eating at another
Diner favorite a lot.

This IHOP on North Second Street/Oakdale, El Cajon, is my favorite one & I would recommend it.
It can be noisy when the kids are eating, but, hey, so is Disneyland!“

“We came for a very late dinner and Rodolfo was our server. He was amazing and so genuine! He exhibited exceptional customer service and helped me on what to order (as I was debating between several items). My food tasted delicious and service was very prompt.“

“This place is commendable for the staff- My sister forgot her purse under the table. When she realized in horror the mistake, we were almost back at her house. So we phoned the store and they recovered and kept the purse safe until retrieved. Great job and great honesty team! Will definitely come back.“
