“Loved this restaurant. Offers a Unique & broad approach to Mediterranean food. We had falafel in avocado tsatsiki yum yum & the kebab plate with ample chicken, beef and pork chorizo. Each was marinated in a different set of spices. I worry about too much heat in Moroccan leaning spices. Not so! My tender midwestern taste buds remain warmed but not blown out. Outdoor service was superb-thank you Drew.“

“Impossible to get a reservation!! Managed to get 8.45 pm at the counter and was worth it! Octopus amazing — sliced paper thin and melts in your mouth! Fatosh salad refreshing and pita bread pillowy and sweet. Stuffed peppers average and didn't enjoy the baklava. Server not helpful about dishes but served as ordered.“

“We had the most delicious meal at Gola. Every single dish was a feast to the eye as well a tickle our taste buds. The sauces were all very different in every dish, beautifully balanced with Tunisian spices. As a main, I would recommend the lamb tajine, the chicken tajine and the stuffed eggplant if you’re vegetarian or not. For appetizers, the scallops in turmeric sauce were delicious as well as the Kromb (cabbage) and of course, the Brika. Service was very quick and very kind. This might become our regular restaurant in the mission. It felt like a one night trip to Tunisia. Thanks Chef.“

“We went early so not crowded or very noisy but I imagine it gets loud in the industrial interior. The food was fantastic - Try the lamb carpaccio, the crunchy shrimp, and the wheat berry risotto! The service was a good team, kept us watered up good and the pace of service was perfect. The waiter explained nuances of food and made sure we got maximal enjoyment.“

My only quibble is that the dinner menu on their website was not the same as the dinner menu in the restaurant, and one of our diners was sorely disappointed that he couldn't get the lamb dish he was looking forward to. “My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. The food was phenomenal - we had the Barcha hummus, Moroccan cigars and Lamb kefta - recommend all of it. The baklava at the end was a surprise - light and delightfully tasty. It only comes with a single serving of rice though, so if splitting between two you may want to order an additional side.My personal favorite meat was the lamb brochette, though everything was seasoned well and tasted great. The real star of the meal, however, was the warm grape leaves appetizer, with rice and tzatziki sauce that packed a ton of flavor. Don’t forget to squeeze the lemon on top!We ordered the melitzano puree as well (it comes with pita bread), but it was a bit bland and not as puréed as we expected (it wasn’t the consistency of a dip). We’ll skip this one next time and replace it with an order of that delicious tzatziki sauce!Excellent selection of wine, but be prepared that there’s no beer or cocktails. “Kosher food generally requires some kind of rating buffer due to scarcity, but Hummus Bodega needs no such help. Absolutely amazing food, cannot recommend more highly. Amazing variety of dishes and high quality food at every step. Pita was amazing and fresh, hummus smoother than whipped cream, fries fresh and crisp. Shawarma, schnitzel, and fried cauliflower were all great as well. The staff is also incredibly patient, and artfully dealt with a loud individual who was demanding sabich but couldn't find it named on the menu.“

It was cool and windy, but the cafe worker immediately suggested turning on the heater, which, to be honest, wasn’t very good It was warm, but it wasn’t the cafe’s fault, it was just very cold and windy, but we decided to sit outside, although we could do it inside, there are also tables. The dishes we ordered were delicious, but be prepared that you won’t get enough, the portions are small.“

“Note that the negative reviews are from fanatical bicycle rights nazis. First they destroy our streets, then they attack local businesses. I was here on a holiday weekend, and cars were backed up for miles. A bike occasionally passed. There’s no way a delivery person can pick up an order here. And if you do find a parking spot, good luck getting anywhere once you need to leave.“
