“NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!

The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.

They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.

It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.”

Quiet enough to hear conversation, but not awkward-quiet. And the service was top notch, nothing about the spot was pretentious, and the food was tasty. The owner (or maybe maître d’?) Vasak was so sweet and greeted us with a huge smile. He had us come to the back to taste all of the wines because I didn’t know which one I wanted, and he brought tiramisu on the house at the end of our meal. The whole staff was friendly and fast, and they all seemed to know the guests who walked in—big smiles, hugs, handshakes, “see-you-in-a-couple-weeks”. We got bow tie pasta with pink sauce and their house made gnocchi with pesto cream sauce; perfectly al dente and perfectly salted. I’m going to bring all of my friends!”

Yes, it’s tiny but get there early, secure your seat and you’re in for a ride of the greatest cocktails served up by a ladies and gentlemen’s gentleman - the maker with the shaker, Bill. Seriously, make a friend of this guy and then introduce him and the bar to your favorite people - only your favorite people! “I have walked and driven past this place so many times. I always said to myself that I would come in and that I would take one of their cooking classes.
I was running errands as I get ready to move in January so I treated myself to dinner. Walking into this place the first thing you notice is that it’s cozy. The decorations are simple and the menu is scattered on the window above where you place your order.
The lady behind the counter was super friendly and helped me choose my drink which ironically is one of my favorites. Thai Iced T and she helped me decide on my second dish.
The tea was perfect!
My first dish was Moo Palo ( Braised Pork Belly with steamed Bach Choy and jasmine rice. ) The Pork Belly was perfectly cooked, tender and extremely flavorful. The rice was fluffy and the wasabi sauce was an amazing complement to the entire dish.
The second dish that hit my table was Kee Mow ( Flat rice noodles stir fried in our signature drunken sauce , white onion and bell peppers.) The overall flavor and chew of these noodles was absolutely mind blowing. I topped this dish with their hot sauce, then devoured it.
Now I will tell you one thing, do not and I repeat do not come here if you are in any way impatient or unaware that great food takes time. This place is a must visit and I mean that”

“I've been to a few burger lounges around LA now and it's always been really solid. Id say it falls into a category a cut above In-N-Out with a wider variety of flavors and a step down in price from the (inferior) five guys.

I usually order the lounge burger as is, but sometimes the western style or blue cheese burger. The meat to topping ratio is good and the buns are squishy but firm. Their barbecue sauce is something special with a heavy smoky chipotle/hickory flavor. Their fries are fine, hot and crispy, and the batch sodas are another less common touch (great ginger beer and Shirley temple).

The manager at this location seemed very involved and attentive to making things move smoothly and provide a good experience (Dec. 7th ~6:00p). Nice guy.

There's probably a burger lounge near you and they're probably not going to let you down in flavor and price.”

My name is Jon and today was my first time visiting Lemonzest. Mediterranean food is my favorite and I am extremely happy that I accidentally found this location while walking by it. I was immediately greeted by the two team members who both had amazing energy that made me feel welcomed!! The music and atmosphere was perfect for anyone to relax while simply enjoying lunch or dinner. Of course, the food... mmm mmm! I am in love with how delicious the food was. The rice was light and flavorful, the chicken was very tender, and the salad was perfectly fresh. For sure Lemonzest will be my first choice when I am too lazy to cook at home.

The latte is exactly made the way it should and taste delicious.

“I am so happy I came across this yummy spot! I ordered the fungi, onion and truffle for delivery while I was getting an oil change at a dealership nearby. It was absolutely delicious!! The bread was warm and buttery and flaky!! I mixed the chili and tomatoes sauce that made a perfect dipping sauce. Lemonade was refreshing! I look forward to my next oil change so I can be in the area and order from them again haha ☺️”

“Don’t hear the snowflakes that put 1 star, this place is literally goat tier. The food is simple but is an absolute 10, that chicken teriyaki is glorious and they always put a good amount of sauce. Also their sriracha mayo is nice to combine with your food. Highly recommended.”

They also have drinks and an awesome patio that is right on Ventura Blvd. I always find meter parking but just Park across the street at the shopping center if you can’t find any.

This is more than a simple taco stand it’s a full service marisqueria. My friend from Sinaloa which I consider a Mariscos expert brought me here and it’s delicious, excellent customer service. The waitresses are smoking hot and super authentic and delicious. I feel like I’m in Rosarito beach eating seafood here. So good. I highly recommend this place. This place is way too empty for the quality of food that they serve. Try the Aguachile. I asked for mild spice and they complied. I can’t handle too spicy. 🌶️”

“This Location is stingy with the Teriyaki (they only give you one small sauce, not a regular branded one) and the parking is not the best but you should be able to find a spot. BUT they're not stingy with the chicken which is awesome. If they always give you the amount I got, it's 5 stars forsure. Gluten free like most the locations which makes TMad overall a 5 star establishment.”
