“Came on a Saturday to enjoy Mediterranean BBQ. Staff was amicable, a little slow in serving and taking orders and came to our table with someone else's order. I would highly recommend they do a number system (assign table number to customers for staff to reduce confusion). It was decent food, spices and grilled veggies were good. Chicken was a little thick and hard to cook all the way through those meats. Steak was a bit dry. Seasoned fries and hummus, Pita bread was good. Ambiance was settle, no music or noises. A little pricy but portions are good. Clean establishment. Parking can be a little tight in the parking lot.“

It takes a minute to get your food, but when you do it is cooked to perfection and ever so good. There is nothing we don't like on the menu. They carry a yogurt type soda and that is just weird, but everything else is great.\n\nI love their salmon and all of their chicken dishes. “I order from Orchid often for both large catering orders and individual lunches. Kamal the owner is excellent to work with. Very warm and accommodating but also fast, responsive, and very timely. The food is always delicious and consistent in quality. He’s able to put together a large catering order with short, even same-day notice. They also do delivery and it always shows up right on time, and all catering orders are sealed in insulated boxes and packed with heat packs so the food stays warm until it’s ready to be eaten. It’s my pleasure to dine with and continue supporting a small family-owned business that delivers excellent service and amazing Persian food.

“Service is always slow and the servers are rude. It feels like you are bothering them when you ask for anything. A soda refill takes forever, unlimited salad refills are great in theory but you can never catch anyone to ask for a salad refill! When someone finally shows up, it's seems like they are doing you a favor instead of doing their job. We love the food here but don't come as often as we want to because for $175 meal we feel the service has to be better.“

“If you’re reading this, here’s the short version: this is easily one of the best restaurants in Culver City, and you need to try it now!

It’s a small spot in downtown Culver City that you could walk past without noticing. I’m glad I didn’t. There are a couple of tables outside, but most of the seating is indoors. The space is modern, clean, and relaxing.

We ordered three dishes, all recommended by our waiter. The mussel toast is a must. Every bite is savory and packed with seafood flavor. For mains, we had the short rib and rainbow trout. The short rib was perfection. Cooked over fire and served with crispy potato strings. It’s something you get at high-end steakhouse but at half the price. The rainbow trout looked beautiful and tasted fresh, though the citrus was a bit stronger than I prefer.

For dessert, we couldn’t resist the churro and ice cream sandwich. The ice cream (another must try), sourced from a Persian maker, was rich with rose, honey, and pistachio. The presentation was just as impressive. The churros were decent, though I wished they were crispier and the dipping sauce was thicker.

Overall, I’d give this place a solid five stars. The food is close to Michelin quality without the Michelin prices. Go and you won’t be disappointed.“
