Condiment bar is awesome with roasted chilis, onions, and lime. Their red and green salsa are so tastey as well. I frequent this small chain. They have daily specials too!“

“This little gem has that nostalgic 1950s vibe, only accepting cash. There a couple of tables outside the little shack where they offer crispy bean and cheese burritos that are unbelievably good! Service is. Always with a smile. I also tried crunchy tacos and taquitos which j added cheese to and it was so yummy. There js no satisfaction like a treat from taco treat. Don't forget the hot sauce!“

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.“

“Finally tried this place out after driving past it for the nth time. They do $1.50 taco Tuesdays and is parked right next to the Starbucks off Duarte and Rosemead. A bit more difficult to get to if you're coming from east of the intersection due to the median island and no U turn restriction, but damn their food is worth the trouble. Their al pastor is very well seasoned and probably my favorite protein out of all the choices. Tacos come with grilled onions and a piece of potato, with thick cut cucumbers and slices of lime. Nachos are loaded with sauces and burritos are packed with flavors. They have 4 sauces, 2 red and 2 green. The thicker, opague looking ones are the spicier of the 4, while the clearer 2 are the less spicy ones.

The al pastor tacos are a little sweet for my tastes, so I usually get the suadero and asada. “If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. “Dude, I’m really impressed with this little spot. The food is flavorful, fresh, and not greasy, and the gentlemen working here are kind Sinaloenses who are easy to talk to. Authentic Mexican food without the fluff. The tacos are fairly priced and GOOD, the gringa is insane if that’s your thing.
