I've been coming here for like 9 years since I was younger and oh my gosh it is so good i used to live in Simi valley and moved and I haven't had it for like 2 years and I've been trying to find a New Mexican restaurant where I live now and coming back too this from all the other Mexican restaurants just makes me realize how much better this food is compared to the others like I dont know what they put in the food but it is one of a kind.“

“I come here 3+ times a week and it never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing—fresh, flavorful, and authentic every single visit. The staff always makes me feel welcome and they remember my usual order, which says a lot about how much they care about their customers. “I love this place. I'm here whenever I'm in Simi. great food, great price. i recently posted a review for this restaurant, but today what I ordered was not what I usually get.
ive been coming here for sometime and today I ordered my usual carnitas and bean burrito. it was small and not the sane.
a restaurant is best measured by its quality and. consistently and the last few visits its been questionable.
im an ex chef and I look at the overall picture before criticizing, today I had no choice but to give them a thumbs down“

If you’re looking for the real deal authentic Mexican food that hits the spot every time without caring how much you spend because it’s so dang delicious, then this is the place you need to visit next! Their Micheladas are the best in town! Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself. Oh, their carnitas tacos, tortilla chips and salsa, chilaquiles, flautas de pollo, menudo, I mean the list goes on. Ironically, I was looking for a new place to eat that wasn't Mexican, since there are no shortage of great choices here, but wasn't hungry enough for all-you-can-eat next door. I am conflicted about posting this because maybe it's better to keep this hole in the wall as one of the best kept secrets in Simi Valley. Strongly suspect the tortillas are handmade; a reputable genuine Mexican restaurant would have no less, but you never know these days and can't blame them either with the economy, anyway. Excellent value for the price. It made me miss home, and I've never been to Mexico except on like two family vacations. You'll leave wanting more, but you won't leave hungry.“

“I have been LOOKING for some really good mexican tacos out here because I just moved here. After trying 4 places, I found this place and got 5 chorizo tacos and man they were so good and the box it came in was just loaded with cilantro and onion on the top of the tacos. Very good place for street tacos. Just wish it came with lime but there was 2 little cups of salsa Verde and regular salsa and that on the tacos was really good and the chorizo was so flavorful and seasoned, I will definitely come back.“

“I had the same server as two years and ago and she’s still awesome. I wish I could remember her name :) I go every time I come to visit from Maryland. The food always hits the spot. I just miss the tree stumps. Other than that there’s 3 things to look forward to in Simi Valley-good friends, Smiley face hill and Jerry’s Coffee Shop. :)“

“I had a carnitas burrito. It was kind of hard to order cuz thier menu doesn't include plain rice and meat burrito. They found it hard to understand that all I wanted was the pork, then some rice and finally sour cream wrapped up in a tortilla. I told her I'd add the salsa myself as I ate it. Once she found away to take my order everything was fine. They seem to think they need to reinvent the burrito...if they made it my way they wouldnt know handle the amount of business they'd get.. but not my problem. Till then the carnitas was awesome and I really enjoyed my burrito..“

“I’ve been eating at Baja Fresh for over 20 years, and their bean and cheese burrito has always been a favorite—big, flavorful, and wrapped in a tortilla that just hits right every time. Their salsa bar is still top-notch. Honestly, I wish they sold this stuff at grocery stores.

We visited this location in February 2025, and the food tasted exactly as it should. But $10 for a bean and cheese burrito? Oof. Dropping $48 for three b&c burritos and two kids’ meals felt a little steep, but I guess that’s just the world we live in now.

The food took a few extra minutes to come out, but the real disappointment was that my 7-year-old didn’t finish their quesadilla. Even Moses had to pause for a moment of reflection. Double oof. Still, a solid experience and a good meal.“

“I stopped by this Taco Bell this morning to take advantage of the Baja Blast anniversary so they were giving it any Baja Blast drink if you order from the app. I also decided to get a cinnamon twist since I was already coming here to get a drink. I got the Baja Blast Freeze and set the pickup time as ASAP since my work office is nearby. I found parking easily because I don't think anyone was here. When I walked inside, they already had my order on the pickup counter, which I don't think it's safe since anyone can just take your food. The indoor dining seem pretty good inside and they also have outdoor dining table as well. My Baja blast freeze was delicious and the cinnamon twist was good.

Vegetarian options: I would not recommend coming here for vegetarian food.

Parking: There plenty of parking here.
