“Our furbabies love the "pup meals" at In-n-Out. We went yesterday for our furbabies 12th birthday and had a HUGE order for their birthday party with family. Mia helped us out at the drive-thru. She saw our furbabies in the car and we told her it was their birthday and told her what we were doing. She was so amazing!! She was patient with us and our order. As we drove thru to pick up our food, she came to the window and said "hi, it’s me again" and handed us 1 of our bags, which was the food for the furbabies. Inside the bag, was a hand written note on a napkin that said "Happy Birthday". We were so touch that she went above and beyond to make our babies birthday special that we told the other employees that she needed a raise! One of our babies has a heart condition that he wasn’t suppose to be with us anymore so this gesture was so special and made our day!! Thank you again Mia!!!!!“

“Eggs and Things is a wonderful restaurant right out of the Ventura Boulevard style. The food is great. The free appetizer is a nice little surprise and the most delicious toast I’ve ever had and if I’m not mistaken, it is buttered on both sides!

The place is a little bit loud, but that’s only because it’s so popular. We try to go weekly and it’s great for Easter!

Overall it was great as there was a huge menu on the wall and the place was well decorated with lanterns with sakura trees. It’s a place where you would come to for something quick. I dined-in since traveling with a bowl of hot udon isn’t ideal. Service was great!

I ordered the Udon with Tempura Shrimp and asked the person at the cashier what they recommend as an appetizer and he stated that the Potstickers were a usual go-to which is what I got. The price for the udon was fairly priced, but maybe not for the potstickers. However, I do understand the economy so it’s reasonable, I guess…

The udon noodles were nicely textured and had 2 pieces of narutomaki (maybe not enough in my opinion). Wasn’t sure what the other things in the udon was but it melted quick. The tempura shrimp are similar to the ones I get at Costco. I believe I was 75% full after eating that complete meal which is a good percentage.“

Ironically, I was looking for a new place to eat that wasn't Mexican, since there are no shortage of great choices here, but wasn't hungry enough for all-you-can-eat next door. I am conflicted about posting this because maybe it's better to keep this hole in the wall as one of the best kept secrets in Simi Valley. Strongly suspect the tortillas are handmade; a reputable genuine Mexican restaurant would have no less, but you never know these days and can't blame them either with the economy, anyway. Excellent value for the price. It made me miss home, and I've never been to Mexico except on like two family vacations. You'll leave wanting more, but you won't leave hungry.“
