“The food here is great, but I'm basing my review entirely on the service.This was my first time going for a rather large dinner order for my family.Lupe and Angie were extremely kind and helpful with my order. I've never used the app before, but they walked me through its features and reward program--all while readying my large order at the same time. They really went above and beyond to help me; the service was quick (not rushed) and friendly. I've never met them before, but they made me feel like we were good friends. You can just tell they're both caring and helpful people. Honestly, it was a a refrshing experience and far beyond the normal level of service you'd get anywhere else. They deserve a raise for sure!Like I said, the food is great; but I'd go back for their top tier service alone. Thanks again for your help and friendly service ladies!“

“It's been a while since I last visited Fan-Fan. The menu here has changed, and it feels a bit like Panda Express, probably to cater to foreign tastes. At noon, the place is crowded with people waiting in line—it almost feels like a Chinese canteen for international students. You grab a plate, choose your favorite dishes, and pay by weight. They also have bubble tea you can order. My meal cost 23, which isn’t exactly cheap but is acceptable. The bubble tea was nothing special, so you can skip it. The food was okay, but I still prefer the old Fan-Fan, which served more authentic Chinese dishes.“

“Received a flyer at my home that’s what got me initiated to check this place out and I’m very happy that I did. They have amazing lunch. Special food taste amazing quantity and quality is great. I asked if I could eat my lunch there. The person on the counter said yes, then they brought out water for me which they didn’t have to, which was a great gesture and customer service that alone has me sold to doing business with these people. I also tried Boba smoothie while I was there, which was very refreshing going to be my go to on my day off for a quick lunch in the neighborhood.“

“Very nice restaurant with a big menu. The tea had chrysanthemum and goji berries and was delicious. Shanghai rice cakes are always a good option and the dessert sesame balls were tasty. Highly recommend. There's also plenty of parking in this small shopping district.“

“Had an absolutely marvelous lunch. I ordered the braised scalops off of the lunch menu. They were delightful. Great portion for lunch. Not too big. The atmosphere reminds me of the chinese places i used to go to when i was a kid. Ambient lighting and saxophone musac. Run by a cute, friendly family who really put love and care into every dish. We will be going back because i want to order everything off of the menu.“

“One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area the best in San Marcos.. my only disappointment is the wonton soup here on the west coast!! Back on the east coast the wonton noodles are large and very doughy here the are small and soft. Hard large wonton noodles in my soup. Still the best I have found other then Philadelphia and New York Chinese restaurants.“

“We had the Mongolian beef, pan fried potstickers, long bao sampler, and bbq pork bao buns. And it was delicious! It was very flavorful and the Mongolian beef chow main was my favorite. Everyone was very nice and quick and it was reasonably price for the amount of food and quality. The broth that the dumplings was cooked in was very savory and I wanted to keep eating even though I was very full. We will be coming back!“

Even though there are heaps of Asian eateries around Irvine where we moved to in Nov, 2022 no one serves authentic Chinese food like this place. Forget about the cheesy ambience inside an old movie theater that is mostly an Asian supermarket...it's all about the incredible food. WEEKEND GETAWAY ! My wife and I hit the road at 10.30am on Friday to kick off our fun packed weekend down in San Diego. We hit heavy traffic as expected but better earlier than later. FIRST STOP ! We arrived here for lunch around 12.30pm. While my wife parked our car I headed inside to the restaurant....to my surprise Joe the long time manager recognized me straight off and showed me to a vacant table in the corner. TOO EASY ! When Joe popped over to say hi I gave him our lunch order. We knew exactly what we wanted...1 x Kung Pao Shrimp and 1 x Honey Walnut Shrimp. Joe came back with a pot of Jasmine tea and 2 tall iced waters. IT WAS PACKED ! Before too long Joe brought out my wife's huge serve of Honey Walnut Shrimp. Within 2 or 3 minutes my delectable looking Kung Pao Shrimp hit the table. MOUTHSATIONAL ! Trust me no one serves authentic Chinese food as good as here. My Kung Pao Shrimp tasted amazing...no tails on the shrimp and it was kicked up just enough. My wife was in gourmet food heaven enjoying her Honey Walnut Shrimp but I did have to pinch a few of her juicy shrimp with walnuts. THE BEST ANYWHERE !“

“Eating a lot of their food past four months through Grub Hub due to being unable to walk. It’s always excellent. Tonight’s was super excellent, chop suey with beef extra snow peas and Napa cabbage. Been cooking for over 60 years and this is one of the best and healthiest things I have ever eaten.
Also a bargain…one order is enough for three meals!!!

“What a bargain for lunch! I was in the mood for lo mein and came upon this restaurant in my search in the area.
I didn't know how much their lunch special were until I sat down and looked at their menu. Wow! You cannot beat $11 for lunch these days and the food was served on a huge platter! I almost laughed when the waitress brought it out to the table.

This is a small restaurant with a few small patio tables in front. It was a weekday and it wasn't busy. The cashier/waitress was really friendly and nice. She had a ready smile for everyone who came in.

I wanted shrimp lo mein for lunch but only chicken or pork lo mein were on the lunch menu. I paid $2 more for shrimp and there were a lot in my dish. It was really good.
The side salad was plain and just mainly iceberg lettuce but the egg roll was good.“

However, it was the perfect Mala spicy-nessLocation: Its in a plaza lose to the Qualcomm work place with a lot of the other places to eat. The parking might be limited if it is a busy day.Service: Food came out fast. You know its authentic when you see a lot of Asian people eating there too. “We arrived about 45 minutes before closing and the employee, Jocelyn greeted us with the warmest smile. Although the restaurant was sold out of teriyaki chicken, the item we were wanting, she managed to make our experience quite pleasant. We ended up ordering a small portion of the orange chicken and she gave us a complimentary drink for not having the teriyaki chicken. She also gave us an extra fortune cookies “for the road!” Apparently it was a really busy night and we had just missed the rush. But she still had the biggest grin and best attitude. I’ve worked in customer service for many years and her service was the epitome of going above and beyond. This woman deserves some recognition and a raise. Simply amazing.“

“I really do appreciate good customer service, but the young woman behind the counter went above and beyond. She not only suggested I add their app to my iPhone to get a 20% discount, but patiently helped me do it when I was fumbling with the process. She saw as sweet as can be, and unfortunately I did not catch her name. I return to that’s spot at least once a month for a lunch break while at work in the La Jolla area. With excellent customer service and food, why wouldn’t I?“
