“Recently moved to the area and decided to stop in on New Years Eve for an early dinner. The place wasn't too busy, but still had a great vibe. We were greeted by Jade, who was super friendly and explained each of the flavors of the Hard Kombuchas and even let us try a few! I had the Key Lime Pie. Their sushi menu is extensive, and has the basic sushi rolls and also specialities. Jade also knew a lot about the menu and the rolls, and recommended the moonlight roll and the grandview. We also got other items on the menu. Overall, we highly enjoyed the place and are happy we have a taproom/sushi in our new home!!“
“It has been at least 15 years since we last dined at Red Tracton's Steakhouse. This used to be our special date night haunt or a favorite lunch spot prior to the races. After our long hiatus we were treated by friends to a birthday dinner complete with wine, food, laughter and lots of memories. Service was excellent. Our server was Anna and she had a beautiful personality that contributed to a wonderful evening. We began our feast with Red's famous onion strings. I don't know how many onions sacrificed their lives for this starter but there was enough to feed the restaurant. I moved on to the lobster bisque and my wife the Tracton Salad. The bisque was somewhat as remembered but the Tracton Salad was lacking the signature Green Goddess dressing and for $16 for a small bowl fell short of expectations. For dinner I had the Top Sirloin and my wife the Sandabs. She seemed to enjoy the sandabs but for me the top sirloin was almost too tough to cut through or even chew. And, everything seemed to lack seasoning. That is unusual for a steakhouse as most pride themselves in delivering well seasoned food. For dessert we were offered a few sweets in which I picked their version of the lava cake. It was good and also a nice gesture on behalf of our hostess to comp it. We brought our own wine, corkage fee is $30 a bottle and Anna was nice enough to decant and also strain for sediment. We look forward to returning in the near future but will try other options for our dishes.“
“Can't say enough about the food, views, and our server Ryan. He made a great experience fantastic. If only all restaurants had Ryan's.Every little detail was there including soft salted butter for the bread, good patios heaters, and great food and drink suggestions from our server.“
“Starting out with the service, could not have been any better, A+, very attentive, waiter, guy from Venezuela, drinks came right away pizza ordered came with it about four minutes, and perfect timing was my linguine and Bolognese, excellent, just like my grandmother made, this place is a true treasure 5 o’clock when it opened there were 30 people waiting in line, there’s a reason for that, that’s my new hotspot, love, this place everything about it was top shelfParking: Tons of parking across the street not an issue, just be careful lots of traffic“
“Seasons 52 always goes above and beyond! We have never had a bad meal here! Our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu! We loved the wine that she recommended so much that we ended up buying a bottle to take home with us! The lamb was incredible as well as the Filet & Lobster!“
“A truly stunning restaurant with wonderful service. The mezcal passion fruit drink was great. The food to me was a bit disappointing. For the price of the dishes I feel like there should be more flavor. I got the Salmon and while it was well cooked, I expected more flavor from how the waiters were talking about the food. The carrots in the dish were amazing though. The Peruvian Tuna Crudo was similar. I expected the sauce to have more flavor. The tuna itself was very high quality. The bread however was incredible.“
“I had a very pleasant experience at Rosina's last night! We had a group of 6 for my nephews birthday. Our waiter, Colin, was sweet and attentive. Parking is street and they do have a side lot. It was busy even on a Wednesday so we walked a little but not far at all. The bread is delicious with the dipping sauce. We started with the arancini which I recommend! They are slightly smaller than I'm used to, so get 2 orders if you have a bigger party. I had the fusilli aka vodka with chicken and gluten free pasta. The G Free pasta is better than what I usually make at home, which was a major plus! I really couldn't tell the difference. Everyone enjoyed their meals! A great experience! Oh, and Wednesday is half priced bottles of wine!“
“It was a great experience!! The atmosphere stunning !! I felt like I was literally in Italy. The pizza and pasta are delicious and the service was top notch . Huge Thank you to Emily, Bruno and Gabi for the great experience! Highly recommend ⭐️.“
“Their food is decadent and amazing. Their staff, a wonderful group. Never need to ask for anything. Their wine ? spectacular. This is a very small place. Reservations recommended. Don't miss out on the best Italian Cuisine in North County. Price $$$“
“The most beautiful view, the greatest food and the nicest staff and patrons. In beautiful Del Mar, CA. And not too pricy. And a full bar with interesting and delicious cocktails. And Carlos the bartender is a delight. This place is perfection.“
“Food at this establishment.. On point, very delicious and a good amount.-Pups allowed, they have a huge outside area to eat; plus a Pup menu. We have a picky pup and he loved his steak.-Great choices on the menu for everyone.Service, not great for us. Our server only would check on one person. We are a please and thank you family and not even that was helpful for us. But this service will not stop us from going back.Vegetarian options: Vegan section to menu, plus SaladsWheelchair accessibility: We didn’t go inside, but there is a entrance for people bringing there pups and was an easy access to side entrance.. width was pretty wide.“
“My husband and I happened to walk by this place and thought it looked like a good spot- we were met with the most amazing service and even more magnificent food! This is hands down the best Italian food I've had. We were both so impressed, the owner was welcoming, kind, and funny. This will definitely be a regular spot for us.“
“Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall off the 101 is one of San Diego’s culinary jewels. A refreshing take on coastal Mexican set in a tastefully brooding atmosphere.Multidimensional, refreshing and just plain delicious this is a worthy contender for any Friday or Saturday night.Simply put, come and eat. It wont disappoint.“
“A constant place of gathering for my coworkers and I who worked in the San Elijo Area. This time we met on a weekend for brunch. I ordered a Pannikin coffee and Cinnamon Toast French Toast. Really thick slices of French Toast, I’m kinda weird and prefer thin slices but this was still good. Others got an omelette or a wrap. Everyone like their food, service was nice, bit pricey but in line with the local restaurants.“
“It was a simple and refreshing salad paired with the slice of pizza. We loved the rusty and crunch of the pizza dough. The serving size is almost 2 slices. The salad was really good! The greens are crunchy paired with the right acidity of the dressing.“
“Great food, excellent selection of wine to choose from. They let you pick anything from the bottle shop and enjoy it over dinner, but they charge a corkage fee for their own wine. That's poor. The restaurant is old and hasn't been updated in 20 years probably. Staff was friendly and made for an enjoyable evening but won't necessarily need to go back with so many other great options out there.“
“Quaint. There is no way to describe this little gem of a wine, bar and olive oil shop. You feel like you are in Carmel, California with the warm tones, the ocean view, great wine choices, and light appetizers. The service was excellent, friendly and responsive. We will definitely be coming back.“
“What a gem! Ambiance is wine shop and old rhymes. Love that you can pick out a bottle and drink it there or get a glass from the wine list. Small bites like flatbread and cheese samplers. No kitchen food. Servers love wine and are super helpful with suggestions. See what you like and you can even become a member. Special wine dinners and tasting events. Can't wait to go back for more sips.“
“I was taking a La Jolla resident to lunch for her birthday. It was a beautiful day and I had told my guest about the terrace with magnificent views and full roofing , heating and fans as needed. When we went to the desk we were told that the terrace was not available, only the indoor seating. That was my big disappointment. My guest ordered the Mahi-mahi sandwich. The fish was so thick on the bun with tomato and lettuce that when my guest cut it in half it simply totally slid across the plate. She ate her sandwich with a knife and fork. The mahi-mahi was perfectly prepared. I ordered the Cobb salad. Rather than traditional crisp iceberg lettuce it was only the flat greens. Every Cobb salad I've ordered has diced chicken as a part of the salad, but instead a variety of meats/seafood were available at extra cost. As a La Jolla resident I've gone there for their former front patio brunch on special holidays and was always impressed as were my guests. I was surprised that two patrons who were there brought their dogs into the Mediterranean dining room and one patron placed the dog next to him on the long sofa. It has simply lost a sense of elegance and a special occasion ambience.“
“Great local spot with true Italian and seafood options. I came here with a large party and we had excellent service and great quality meal. I highly recommend if in the area and seeking Italian. I ordered the linguini clams and it was filling with a great sauce! Well done Osteria!“
“Enjoyed visiting this winery on December 30th.I was visting from Seattle and stopped by this place for dinner. The atmosphere was great. the bartender was friendly. the food and the wine were of great quality. They slightly overcharged my receipt by $0.95, but mistakes happen, the manager was polite and apologetic about it.I would visit this place again and highly recommend it to any travellers deciding to stop by a small little town called Encinitas in the San Diego area.“
“A complete gem! North County is an outstanding source for all things wine, but even better is their boutique wine bar to have a glass with friends or the owner. Like a small Napa winery without the vineyard. Jim is beyond friendly, knows everything there is to know about wine without being snooty. The perfect fit for the neighborhood and for San Diego. Best alternative to the big box wine store. I love the little outdoor patio, and especially like sitting up at the quaint bar with my girlfriend. She likes the huge selection of wines. A must during Christmas and the holidays, but even better throughout the year because you can pop in for a minute or just relax for hours.“
“Had an absolutely amazing dinner there tonight with friends. We are all very good cooks, so always very appreciative of excellent food. Everything we had this evening was prepared inspiringly well, which is not a common thing to find in San Diego restaurants. Two of us ordered one the specials, Eggplant Parmigiana. We were in agreement it was perhaps the best ever (and there have been many tried over the years!). Another had the Carbonara, which was truly a don’t-miss work of art. What the restaurant lacks in ambiance, it certainly makes up for in amazing food, excellent service, and warm and caring owners/wait staff. We’ll definitely tell friends and will most certainly visit often!“
“What a great gem! We were visiting the area and used Yelp to find a place for dinner. We settled upon Crust Pizzeria and were so happy we did! The place had a small comfortable bar and there were also tables available. The bartender, I believe her name was Faith, was very sweet and took great care of us. My husband enjoyed the Cheese Ravioli, and I ordered the Penne Sausage. It was excellent - the sausage was a touch spicy, and the tomato cream sauce was delicious. The portions were adequate. If only they had a location near our home - we would certainly be regular customers.“
“Vegetarian options: Though I chose the burrata/ prosciutto pizza, which was excellent, I shared the vegetarianpizza as well. The tomato sauce is the Old World way i.e. not thick and sugary..it's like eating a fresh vine ripened tomato! Pizza without cheese was loaded with richly fresh veggies and the thin light crust kept it well balanced. House salad was very good with variety of distinctive greens and perfect balsamic dressing. Dessert...died and went to Heaven! Strawberry panacotta with fresh strawberries and sorbet...chocolate mousse so rich! Lovely service!“
“Heard great things about the food here, and it did not disappoint!Stand outs:* The Laffa bread is made to order, and it is hands down the best bread I’ve ever eaten in my life. We ordered two because one wasn’t enough!* The basque cheesecake lives rent free in my head. Technically perfect and the flavor was so good, not super sweet, texture was perfection, like silk.* Gambas/Shrimp… the presentation was so beautiful and I took quite a few photos, but the flavor is what I remember even more. I don’t know how to explain it, but when you get sauce on your plate like this, you have to eat every last drop. Which we did - lapped it up with the second order of Laffa bread!* The salad was so fresh and well balanced. Like something made with love for the ingredients. Textures were on point and I believe the chef has his own garden where he gets seasonal ingredients. We loved it!10/10 will go again. Need to try some of the other items stat.“
