“I just happen to be in the area and came across this cute little wine store and tapas restaurant. I love the warm and inviting atmosphere, very clean, and the staff was friendly, dressed nicely and attentive. My friend and I ordered some delicious Zinfandel and the hummus plate was excellent. I'll be back.“

“An absolutely amazing dining experience! Went at high tide (not King Tide) but still special having the waves come up to our window! It was our 21st wedding anniversary and they did everything to make it special. Special table right on the window with waves up to our window. Custom personalized menu and glass of champagne to toast. Stefano was so classy and treated us like royalty. No rush at all and excellent service all night. There were a few mistakes made like timing and steak a little undercooked but they were so apologetic and went way above and beyond service to correct and make things right (way more than necessary) The lobster bisque was probably best ever and our Poached Butter lobster and Waygu Ribeye were spectacular. Everything was fantastic and how they took care of us over very minor mistakes, was stellar! We will be back for other special occasions and highly recommend for special dining experience.“

“Rosinas is consistently excellent authentic Italian food. The only food downside ( which is why I gave Food a 4 out of 5 rating), is their Ceaser salad...it is consistently bland, really watery, and tasteless...such an unpleasant surprise given that ALL of the other salads are so delicious, and ALL of the other food is delicious. Rosina, PLEASE update the Ceaser salad..it is really awful.“

“One time I dropped the last cookie (they always sell out) on the ground and Dave, owner and chief hospitality officer, went in the kitchen, turned on the special cookie oven and rolled out a cookie for us. He dropped it off as his last act of service before he walked out the door. Thank you Dave and Co for always making us feel so welcome and giving Encinitas a home away from home.“

“This is an exceptional restaurant that you must visit. I took a friend who frequently eats at Michelin rated restaurants and she could not believe how good the food was. The margaritas were incredible and I can highly recommend the enchiladas vegetale or anything else in that green sauce. Very light, tasty, and satisfying with everything cooked to perfection. Great salsa too. Staff was very attentive and friendly.“

“My husband and I have been here for the very first time and we immediately fell in love with this place. The staff is amazing, they know how to treat you and make you feel at home. Alice is very passionate about her job and we loved her homemade desserts sooo much. A special mention to Michele, a very young yet extremely professional waiter, who contributed to create a cozy and pleasant atmosphere! As Italian, I can say it's hard to find place such Alice's where you feel so vividly the warm of our country. We will definitely come back!“

“La Costa Wine Co.
A locally owned and operated wine and craft beer shop with a great twist—there’s a welcoming area in the back where you can enjoy an impressive selection of wines and beers, paired with excellent cheeses, cold cuts, and flatbreads.
From the moment you walk in, there’s a genuine sense of community. I met some amazing people and truly felt the family atmosphere that the owners have created. A big part of that comes from the team—Alessa, Reggie, Fernando, Andrew, Connor, Trianna, and Shawn—who were all fantastic: welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging, making the experience feel personal and relaxed.
The space has a modern wine-cellar vibe, complemented by a really well-curated mix of music. You can immediately tell the owner is hands-on and has a great eye for building a team that fits the culture—friendly, passionate, and never pretentious.
I visited a couple of Sundays in a row and found it to be the perfect balance: not overly busy, but lively enough to feel engaging and social. I also went back on a Friday, and it was lively and buzzing—a great energy without feeling overwhelming. Even better, the owner is truly hands-on, consistently checking in on guests around the room and making sure everyone is having a great experience.
They offer memberships and host regular tasting events, which adds even more value for locals. This is truly a great neighborhood wine bar set in an upscale yet relaxed environment.
It’s absolutely worth stopping by just to browse the excellent wine and beer selection—but like me, you’ll probably find yourself drawn to the back area, where the magic really happens.“

““I traveled to Del Mar specifically to experience Monarch’s sunset toast, and it exceeded every expectation I had. The view is breathtaking, the food and cocktails were wonderful, and the atmosphere is truly unforgettable.
What made the evening so special, though, was the incredible staff. Sydney welcomed me with such kindness from my very first phone call through my arrival. My server, Dani, provided warm, attentive service that made me feel completely at home. After the sunset toast, Eric, the manager, took the time to personally introduce himself, share a hug, and make what was already a meaningful evening even more memorable.
This wasn’t just dinner—it was an experience I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you to everyone at Monarch for your genuine hospitality and for creating such a beautiful tradition. I’ll absolutely be back.“

“Crust & Brew is a great spot to chill, watch sports, or get together with friends. Their happy hour deals are great, and everything on the menu has been great! I’ve had the pasta, pizza, and finger foods. Nothing I’ve had has been bad yet.
All the girls are very helpful and great at engaging with the guests. Definitely give it a try, and you’ll turn into a regular as well 😎“

“The food here is something unique when it comes to pizza. The pizza varieties are excellent, and the dirty crust option is a must! The Ceaser salad is great, but what happened to all the capers? They are almost nonexistent in the salads now. Lately, the pizza has been burnt or undercooked, super bummed about that, and hoping the consistency returns.“

“My favorite Italian restaurant in Diego, I take my family and friends here all the time They have a killer wine list with a lot of natural and organic Italian wines, the pizza is Roman style so very thin, which I love, and the cannelloni pasta was to die for, with the creamy buffalo ricotta pairing perfectly with the mushrooms Service was spot on as always, they are very kind and knowledgeable but not overbearing Super recommended“

“If you are looking for a cocktail that is visually stunning, complex, and incredibly refreshing, go see Logan and order the Blue Morning Mai Tai. “We were walking by the La Valencia Friday night and heard live music so we stopped in and sat down. The musician was really talented. We ended up ordering an appetizer and stayed until he was done performing for the night. We’ll be back whenever he’s performing again. The Brussel sprouts were excellent.“

“Me and my wife enjoyed eating here for the steak but this time we are not impressed started with an order of starter mushroom the starter is ok but the newly cooked bread is nice. I ordered the 3 course meal with caesar, medium 16 oz steak with Brussel sprouts and chocolate cheese cake, my wife ordered the salmon with shrimp. The caesar is good, the Brussel sprout is hard to chew but flavorful the steak came out over cooked and told our waiter Armand and showed him the cut I made he said you have to cut the middle part to see the pink color and I cut it the color is the same color on the first cut he is very apologetic and said I will have it replaced, when it came it's a bit better than the first one but taste that we are longing for is not the same it's over charred we come to Ruth's Chris for over 20 years now when started in Honolulu in 2003 at least once a year for special occasions. The best part of our 39th year wedding celebration is we were are seated by the window and the crème brûlée was great. My wife's said that her salmon is good.“

“If you are in the fashion district of Solana Beach or going to a concert at the Belly Up and are looking for great little Sushi place, go to Kai Ola Sushi! My wife and I were looking for a place to get some food prior to a concert at the Belly Up and came upon this great little restaurant. The vibe and atmosphere is very cool, the Sushi was delicious, and the service was great! The Sushi chef was very personable and friendly and even educated us on some of the Sushi rolls he was preparing, while we sat and ate at the Sushi bar.“
