“Rookie mistake making my first trip here right as Sunday service was getting out! This place is right on Church property, in case I am the only out of towner that didn't think to look at the satellite view of the place prior to walking here. The croissant was good and the coffee was tasty! But let it be known you can't bring your leashed dogs inside in order to actually order coffee. There's also not a really good spot to tie them up if you're traveling solo with your dog. The outside amenities for the dogs are decent, however.“

“Went here this morning for brunch and coffee. Food and coffee were very good (cubano was my favorite!). The service was a bit slow but it was quite busy and the young woman behind the counter was working all by herself. She was working hard to take orders, make drinks, and all the food! I wanted to give her a shout out for her hard work today! Overall, I would still go here again.“

“I don’t understand how an amazing coffee shop can, at there discretion, close there coffee shop at any time they want? Why would u treat loyal customers this way. Sometimes posted in Instagram, sometimes not. So inconsiderate of daily customers. Very disappointing to walk all the way there, excited for my greeting from the staff and my great latte, only to find a note on the door, closed at 11:30? How can u feel good about people showing up and not open and it isn’t even close to 3:00? Confusing to me how everything else but this one issue can be perfect?“

“This is the greatest cafe in Santa Cruz and I’ll fight you. It’s beautiful, friendly and clean with mostly well-priced food options, though one time I got a microscopic avocado toast for $9.
Very high quality coffee sourced from a few different producers.“

“Great coffee, friendly environment with lots of indoor and outdoor seating, Wi-Fi, and a nice environment to study or chat. Part of the nearby church but you don't have to worry about it being uncomfortable in some way because of that, they seem to do a good job of being very welcoming and chill. This spot has an abundance of space which is very nice. The food I tried was nice too but I only had a little bite so I can't review that too.“
“Have been coming here for 20+ years (yes, I know, it was Surf City before). Today’s experience was probably the best ever. The staff is super friendly. The quality of the food is great. Love the choice of cheese for the dawners. And the eggs were perfect. Unfortunately we aren’t locals or we would be back more often. But, we do come back to the area, it’s on our “must go” list.“

Service is reliable but sometimes they can't be super friendly since it's a mad house. They do have seating and take and go food but the hot bar is the best! “I recently checked out the new Hidden Fortress in Santa Cruz, and it was fantastic! I got the Coco Loco iced coffee with oat milk, and it was amazing. It was actually recommended by one of the employees, so if you're not sure what to get, I would definitely recommend it! The Mexican mocha snickerdoodle cookie was also great. The space also looked super nice; I loved the art, and the staff was really nice and welcoming, which made the vibe even better. It's just a quick 12-minute drive from Cabrillo, so I'll definitely be back! I forgot to mention that they do offer a 25-cent discount if you bring your own cup, which is a nice bonus!“

“can’t speak to the food, but I got a yummy hot chocolate. barista was lovely, and I was able to sit at the nearby picnic table with my pup while my windshield was taken care of down the street. there’s a few places to sit, but this is definitely a “grab it and go” location“

“I absolutely despise this place! NOT BECAUSE THE DOZEN GLAZED I GOT WAS BAD.....BUT BECAUSE WE DONT HAVE THIS PLACE BACK EAST AND I WAS RAISED ON DUNKIN DONUTS....I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE BEST! THEY LIED TO ME! I HAD NO IDEA SUCH A GLAZED DONUT EXISTED. WHEN I WALKED IN THERE AT 0544 AND SAW THE DONUTS IN THE DISPLAY CASE THE GATES OF HEAVEN OPENED AND THE ANGELS SANG! The bagel was good-ish; there were other things on the menus(!) that looked delicious. I shall go back. Atmosphere was richly varied and warmly welcoming.
