“I was running errands and saw this place which peeked my interest. The restaurant is clean, with decent foot traffic, mainly for takeout
I dined in, opting for the 2 delicacy on rice for $14 (choose any meat). I got the soy sauce chicken and bbq pork. I’d say they’re both on the sweeter side than what I’ve been used to. Had to ask for extra soy sauce. The rice itself tasted old - kinda on the dry side. service was fast and friendly.
I’d give this place a 3.5, since I’ve had much better BBQ elsewhere“

“Great Chinese fast food spot with lots of tasty options! I especially love their tomato eggs, braised tofu, ginger chicken, soy sauce chicken, and salt and pepper ribs. The prices are super reasonable—3 items with white rice is only $12, and 2 items with fried rice or noodles is also just $12. The owner is very friendly too. Definitely worth a visit!“

“A barbecue restaurant worth recommending. It’s very delicious. The taste is superb. The oysters are big and cheap. The grilled fresh milk is also superb. There are also authentic grilled cold noodles and lamb skewers. It’s really worth a try.“

“My younger daughter and I come here every week on Monday while my other daughter is at her horse riding lessons. I am always greeted with a friendly welcome by everyone but Josh is always the loudest 🤭It is so important to have eye contact, communication and friendly Customer Service it’s becoming less and less to experience friendliness. The Manager Jasmine is always on top of everything and doing a 👏 but I don’t want to leave out Diana! The food here is always amazing always fresh. I recommend coming in around 11 or 12 due to the fact that they open at 10 so there’s not a wide selection but don’t worry they will make it fresh for you within 7 to 9 minutes. They have a great selection, but our favorite is the honey sesame, and the Kung pow chicken. Another thing that I have to say about this place, which is again very rare is that their restrooms are always clean and smell good and they’re constantly cleaning, especially when they have downtime. This place is always very very clean! Hope
this helps 😎 Blessings, Charissa

“I recently visited Happy Valley Village in Sanlitun, and I had an amazing experience! The atmosphere is both cozy and stylish, making it perfect for a catch-up with friends or a casual date. There’s a great variety of restaurants and cafes, each with its own unique vibe, and the food quality is excellent—definitely satisfying.
The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby areas, so you can easily explore Sanlitun after your visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and enjoyable dining or hangout spot!“

“Delicious and unique food from a region of China we hadn’t experienced before. The owner and staff are friendly and thoughtful. They accommodated our large group and made us feel really at home. The Miao sour soup fish fillets and velvet mushroom dry pot, as well as the pork with clamshell buns, were particularly outstanding.“

“Sichuan dishes with real numbing heat—mapo tofu and toothpick lamb are standouts. Servers will warn you about spice levels if you ask. Interior is simple and clean. Good for groups willing to share plates. Parking in the plaza can be chaotic at dinner“

“The best Chinese food I had in a long long time. We have been with six, sharing different dishes - a blast. Share the soup! Highly recommended. Thanks for reading my comment. Now, if you are curious enough about my "rating scheme", here's "the moment of truth. I am a music photographer who has traveled the world with the world's greatest musical talents (Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, and Rammstein, to name a few) for almost 40 years. When being asked "Where do you live" I tended to ask "in hotels". At my peak, I "shot" 250 shows a year. Will say: been there, saw and tasted it, and a lot, as I may say, and much to the dismay of my doctor who is in my back to lose a few pounds. Quite a few, as I may add, which is why my wife and I walk ten thousand steps per day, where- and whenever we can - and explore a lot of new exciting places - places you may oversee when just driving by. While I love to share my experience with others, I am sometimes shocked at how people use their "power of the word" to down-rate amazing places because of minor incidents (in my all-time favorite restaurant Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza the owner was even called a racist as he refused to toast the (free) bread in his packed restaurant - they simply do not offer toasted bread, as no French place does, as I may add). Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers boxed to take home? As a dog owner, I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "You give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea... I hope you agree. So If I had a say on this portal, I would offer just to see the ratings of my friends. So I would see what the ratings were by like-minded people. Sadly, I have no say. I try not to compare apples with oranges. A place like this does not correspond to "The Ritz". At first, I assume that a restaurant is clean, they do not greet you with a gun - and they deliver whatever they promise. I do not give stars for things that are expected. In my rating scheme, three or more stars are awarded if they actually exceed my expectations. Four, if I am sure I will come back. To achieve five stars, I must be willing to take a detour of thirty minutes or more to go again. Thank you for reading this.“

“Great place for a group to hang out, drink, and eat some food. Very cool atmosphere. Like an old timey tavern from Chinese dramas. Good, fast service. Order food on a tablet. There are options to omit scallions and cilantro for people who don't like them. You can also call the servers from the tablet, otherwise they leave you alone. Had a live performer (singer) when we went.“

“A real gem of a place among a lot of average Chinese restaurants in this area. The Peking duck itself is done in a style that seems authentic to Beijing, though it may not suit everyone's tastes especially those with a canto preference. Majority of the banquet restaurants in SGV have a Cantonese slant to Peking duck dishes (lotus buns, sweeter hoisin sauce, slightly more caramelized skins) but I'm not trying to draw too much of a comparison here as its just fundamentally different.
Duck House was fantastic in terms of flavor and preparation of the duck. The skin was super crispy, the meat tasted fairly lean yet succulent, and the sauce/condiments paired very well. Delicious, and upscale, though I would say for one duck and only 10 pancakes, it was nearly $100 and I don't think it was so outstanding to warrant that price. We added 5 lotus buns and 5 add'l pancakes which bumped it to $110. It did however feed 3 adults and 2 young kids fully, so about $20 pp is pretty decent for fancy duck.“

“The place has a cozy, vintage charm, perfect for relaxing with friends over a few drinks and some freshly grilled skewers. “Flew in from Las Vegas for the day with my son for an appointment next door, and we decided to have lunch here. We ordered a few appetizers (Hot & Sour Spup, Edamame, Mu Shu, Mussels, Letruce Wraps, Lobster & Shrimp Won Ton) to share, and my son had the Panda Inn Special. The service was amazing — very attentive and friendly. The food was great and perfect for sharing. A bit on the salty side for my taste, but my son absolutely loved it. Some of my photos may show the dishes after we had already started eating! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather — the patio area was lovely. Overall, a very nice restaurant and a great dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for some good Asian cuisine.“

“I like this place. $13.99 per pound of food. You get to choose all your toppings. I recommend going heavy on the meats and light on the carbohydrates. That’ll be the best bang for the buck. They also have frog meat if that’s your lingo. I tried their beef bone broth and I like it a lot. I’d come back again.
**UPDATE**
Just a heads up. If you can’t eat mild this place won’t be for you. They can’t alter the broth. The only option is the tomato broth which is no spicy.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lee's BBQ & Boba Chinese Food. I was thoroughly impressed! The flavors are absolutely delicious, with each dish prepared perfectly. The meats are tender and flavorful, and the variety of options on the menu made it hard to choose just one. I highly recommend the chicken Chow Mein and the dumpling soup — they were simply outstanding!
It's clear that they take pride in their food and customer experience. Whether you're craving a quick bite or a satisfying meal with friends, this is a perfect place to visit.
Can't wait to return for more amazing food.“

“I recently had a gathering with my friends, and we decided to try out a new local Chinese restaurant. The biggest impression this place left on us was how incredibly budget-friendly it is!
What truly sets this restaurant apart is their $9.99 Special Deal, which is available all day long, from Monday through Sunday! The special pricing runs for the entire week. This spot is worth checking out!“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“

“3 of us came here for lunch today. They took over the location from Din Tai Fung. It took a few minutes before someone greeted and seated us. We ordered:
- shrimp wonton w/ house spicy sauce (best, compared to DTF and Lunasia)
- shrimp & pork dumpling w/ black truffle (Lunasia is still best)
- squid in scallop dumpling w/ XO sauce (good)
- French baked BBQ pork bun (the buns too doughy, prefer the one at Tim Ho Wan)
- eggplant stuffed w/ shrimp paste (pretty good)
- deep fried pork dumpling (meh)
- deep fried durian pastry (excellent, real durian pulp, not processed, not too sweet, a bit greasy)“

“Great service and food. Very reasonably priced as well. I've only been here a handful of times, but it's been enjoyable each time. The service is quick and amiable, and the food is well made and delicious (from what I've tried at least). My friend loves the egg flower soup and broccoli beef. I enjoy the orange chicken as well as some of the sides. Definitely recommend visiting, and there's also some good choices for dessert nearby.“

“The food was delicious, the service excellent, the establishment was clean, portions generous, and cost affordable. We ordered chow mein, fish with black bean sauce, and Mongolian beef. It's not Chinese fast food, it's a sit down restaurant. Surprised it wasn't crowded as the food is delicious. The location is a little non-descript but street parking was easy. I live in Gardena and although there are several Chinese restaurants, none are good. This was a lucky find as restaurant reviews in general tend to result in a bad choice.“

“This place is a family favorite going back 3 generations. So my family has been going here for decades. They have not changed the great quality of their food and recipes since then and our whole family appreciates it.
