“My girlfriend and I came in here looking for some solid ramen and got exactly that. She just got back from Japan and explained how it’s the exact style of ramen they have there. I’m a self-proclaimed food snob and this was easily the best ramen I’ve ever consumed. Plus, the cucumber appetizer will blow your mind.

I got the classic tonkotsu, she got the miso ginger. Both were incredible. The broth, the egg, the noodles (both vegan and not).

The service was also incredible. The host sat us at “his favorite table.” Our waiter, Rainer, was extremely kind and asked a ton about us. When we raved about the cucumber appetizer, he told the chef, Alex, who then came out and chatted with us about the dish, where we’re from, and our love for food.

“I absolutely love coming here, the bartenders Grant and Miguel are so unbelievably kind and always give the best recommendations! their drinks are delicious, prices on par for LA bars, and honestly some of the smoothest tequila I’ve ever tried. Grant has the best playlist, a lot of 90s hip hop and r&b, it is the key reason I keep coming here and will continue to do so. My only wish is that they reopen the club section soon, I’d love to have more dancing room. 10/10 all around, give it a try :)“

“Went here after a Dodgers game and it is such a cool bar. Security were friendly, the bartender Julian was great to talk too, and of course the cocktails were fantastic! I couldn’t believe they had a “Vesper”, as a massive Bond fan I had to have it and it was amazing. Followed with the old faithful Espresso Martini which was great too. Drinks are reasonably priced. Can’t wait to come back here the next time I’m in LA!“

Ambiance - The best outdoor seating on the street. They constructed some type of canopy, so that you were fully outside, yet covered.

Service. — Very friendly and prompt. The hostess took our reservation, gave an accurate wait time estimate…and maintained friendly eye contact as we waited. And our server was quite friendly and helpful.

Food — That is the main reason this restaurant gets a rare 5-star personal rating. The three of us chose from a wide array of dishes. EACH was so delicious that we were compelled to share with the others. Adult daughter ordered the Salmon pizza, amd raved. Wife got the Fish Tacos, and the Brussels Sprouts. Loved them. I ordered their Tremendous Burger. This had to be the first time in over a decade that a burger’s picture and description were compelling enough for me to order them at a sit down restaurant. I actually forgot how good an Ole’ Fashioned cheeseburger could taste.

There are clearly many restaurant choices in L.A. If you are in the Larchmont area, definitely try Great White!

We ordered 2 coffees a sandwich and a cinnamon roll. The coffees were amazing, the owner made me a custom coffee. I asked for 'Something Sweet' and the drink was so good we ordered a 2nd one. “My friend and I had an exquisite dining experience at Bar Sawa. Each course was prepared and presented to perfection. The place was a little tricky to find; there were no signs, and it was in the basement of a very unexpected building. You can also only get down there through the middle elevator! The instructions to get to the restaurant were emailed, but I didn't get to read it in time, so it was my fault. ? We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, ambiance and the entire experience. “Food, wine, service and vibes were exceptional! We made resys for a wine night and the outdoor seating was cozy, with a heated lamp keeping us warm. Our server was sweet and helped us sample some wines - we chose an orange wine and sparkling wine which both paired perfectly with the food.

For food, highly rec the mentaiko spaghetti, fries with yuzu aoili, chicken wings, and citrus salad! Dessert is a must - loveee the hojicha tres leches and black sesame rice krispy.

“We recently found this place when i was looking for a place to karaoke. It is a tiny hole in the wall SUPER fun dive bar. The first time we went there was no open tables but a group of ladies let my husband and I sit at their table with them. The people there are super sweet. “Visited on a Thursday evening, very quiet with few staff on duty. Plating was beautiful and the food was mostly very good. Service was noticeably slow, ceviche arrived without chips (the kitchen noticed and brought them out though) and there was almost a 30 minute wait between the ceviche and the rest of the meal. The hangar steak, persimmon salad, and the ceviche were the standouts. Also the seasonal drink, it was delicious! I regretted ordering their sangria and the patatas bravas, very underwhelming. Ambiance is really warm and nice, but the bathrooms are all the way upstairs which is kind of a pain. I wonder if they are short staffed, either way, a lot of potential here.“

“Stopped by for anniversary and DineLA!
I never knew this place existed, but it seems like they've been around for about two years. The restaurant was a lot bigger than it looked and had a lot of spaces. They even had a full bar inside with a nice list of Japanese Whiskeys (Sorry, no Yamazakis!) and other spirits.

The food was good and was presented in a 5 course meal (most likely for DineLA) Although my date got the sushi, I opted for the sukiyaki as they presented themselves as a kaiseki restaurant. They also had other options, but I think their sukiyaki was better than the sushi.

The service was great when we first got in, but the place got packed in a few minutes and it seemed like there wasn't enough servers. However, the overall experience was great and I'd probably visit again for a different menu.“
