“There food is always great can't complain at all...I'm updating my review,I went today and decided to try there new Tokyo fried chicken and I was very disappointed when I got it I saw how burned it was so I'm never buying that again I recommend not to purchase it“

“We had a great experience at Jump Tokyo Sushi. The tonkotsu ramen was rich, comforting, and full of flavor—exactly what you want from a good bowl of ramen.

The truffle edamame was so good and addictive, and the chef’s pick sashimi platter was amazing with super fresh cuts and a nice variety. I also loved the shishito peppers—simple but perfectly done.

I was there in February 2026 and they had a happy hour (Mon-Wed) and it definitely looks like its worth checking. They had $1 off sashimi, nigiri, and special rolls, which is a great deal. Service was quick and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Solid spot for both sushi and ramen.“

“Food always great, service always great, atmosphere....

There was a table that was being very obnoxiously loud with some vulgar comments and discussion. It affected the atmosphere of more than two tables and making them uncomfortable. Thankfully one of the waiters advocated and told them nicely to lower their voices. Long story short.. thankful to the waiter who told them to lower their voices as they demanded their check right away and left immediately. 5 star atmosphere maintained. Thank you!“

“What a find! Completely unexpected gem in Chula Vista. Food was absolutely amazing. My garlic noodles with pork belly was the best pork belly I've ever had. By far. The cut of pork and preparation were perfect. My UK coworker gave a huge 2 thumbs up for their fish and chips. Said it was legit. Another coworker raved about their bao buns. Drinks from the bar were great as well. A must visit when in San Diego.“

“Started off with the soup and salad and it took me back to Japan. Generous portion of salad dressing was a bonus. The teppan show was great! Chef was interactive and funny. Food had flavor and tasted great. Steak was cooked medium as requested and lobster was not overcooked. Overall a great place especially when the price was right. Also received a birthday ice cream dessert afterwards.“

“The food is amazing, as is the service. My family have eaten there since they opened in 1986. They were small then, when Swenson's ice cream used to be next door. My favorite dish was the champon noodles. It still tastes the same!!“

“The workers were very kind to us. When I paid, he gave me a free water. When I asked for a medium, he gave me a large, and he spoke in a very gentle manner. The lady that took my order would point towards the menu to make sure that I knew what I was ordering.

The place seemed very orgainized, and the counters were spotless.

As for the food, it was high quality and delicious. We ordered the Udon, Caterpillar Roll, and the Green Dragon Roll.

The crab in both rolls was creamy and soft on the inside and out. Along with that, The udon was rich with flavor along with garnish. The noodles were bouncy and gummy, and the broth would have a rich, deep, brown color that made it feel like I couldn't leave my table without finishing.

Overall, I would come here again, being one of my first food options at this mall.

“Amazing quick Japanese meal!
I stopped by Sarku Japan at Plaza Bonita and was really impressed! The teriyaki meals are full of flavor and cooked fresh right in front of you and the sauce is tasty, the chicken was tender, and the veggies were crisp. The portions were generous, and it was a great value for what you get. I also tried some of their sushi rolls, and they were surprisingly good too. Service was fast and friendly even during a busy food-court lunch, and everything tasted fresh. Definitely my go-to spot when I want a quick, delicious Japanese meal while shopping! 🍱👍“

“This place is my absolute go-to for Sushi. I mean no matter what you get it is amazing. This place was one of the few things I really missed when moving away from here. If you are nearby then I 100% recommend you come here.

Parking: It is in an open Mall that has plenty of parking. Probably too much. Could have been used for housing instead but still helpful.

Kid-friendliness: They have a fun fountain in the middle of their food court you can run around in.

“I really enjoy dining here. I was introduced to this spot by an older friend and my wife. They had been coming here for years before any of us met (this place has been here for over 20 years). The food has always been on point, the service has always been excellent and everyone is just so nice when we visit. Consistency in these three things is such a hard thing to find these days and the folks at California Sushi deliver, spot on, everytime we have visited. “Cochinita is some of the best Teriyaki in the region, originally coming to us from about 50km south straight out of Ensenada, this is their flagship and only US location and if you’re in San Diego it’s a must; bold of me to say, but in my heart it’s one of the city’s speciality dishes. I’ve been coming here since I was a child, and we’ve always been faithful to the chicken Minoru or the chicken Nomuraki if you want a more flavorful dish. It’s basically just a bed of rice with grilled chicken on top, but the Nomuraki goes a step above and adds seasoning, green onion, and an accompanying side of a picked cucmever salad. It’s not intensely pickley though, and it’s a very refreshing side to enjoy with the chicken. Everything is always fresh and steaming hot as they cook the chicken thighs right in front of you the only thing I’ve been instructed by my mom to do is to ask for the chicken without any skin. It does cost a little extra but I’ve never not ordered it like that and I’ll continue to do so. Also be sure to let them know if you want any condiments, they have pickled red onions, pickled jalapeños, and a signature red salsa. But truly I recommend anything this place has to offer and it’s as local and authentically Chula Vista as it gets. I really love this place and I’m glad it’s survived the test of time which is why I hope y’all can give them a chance and see if you just found out one of your newest favorite restaurants. Had a wonderful lunch at Okawa Steak House & Sushi today! The service was excellent—attentive and friendly from start to finish.
The food was delicious! We had the shrimp and steak, and it was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. It's so nice to know that this little place sits right here in Santee and is not overpriced for the great food and the fun hibachi show you get.
A little detail that really stood out was the iced tea; it was wonderful and you could truly taste the fresh brew.
They also have lunch specials which are very reasonable, making this a great value for the quality. We will definitely be back!“

“Yum! Glad this inspired little joint opened up on East Plaza Blvd. We needed a Japanese dessert place close by. Just returned from my Japan trip and sure do missed it. Had the strawberry sando which was very good. I'm not sure they are the same Japanese strawberries because Japan had the best organics ones. You will know the difference but sando here is delicious. I loved the mango sticky rice blend smoothie was GREAT! You will need a spoon to eat the chunks of goodness (sweet rice and mangos). The Genmai Honeydew was good if you like roasted matcha.
