“Some serious hardworking people here. They love what they do. You can tell in the food. They greet everyone with a kind demeanor. They are quick and their food is delicious. It's different than other Mexican restaurants where some beans how they are cooked can make me sick. Not here. I go here a lot although there's another famous restaurant to it. I appreciate their diligence, consistency and their customer service far more!“

“I personally go there for the Pico de Gallo Frutas. So fresh and so good!!!
My husband and daughter shared a Turkey and Ham sandwich and a Supreme Carnitas Quesadilla. They all loved it!

I also love their frijoles and tortillas too!

Their Agua Frescas is wonderful, light but filling! Sandia and Mango are our favorites .

My normal is to have cut up fruit and Limon with Pico de Gallo. I love it!!!

My daughter gave me her cut up fruit too because I plowed through half in zero flat!

“Maria is the best! We hired Tacos El Gabacho for my wife's grad school graduation party and we can't wait to recommend her and use her again! She came and set up her taco trailer in our front yard and everyone loved her homemade tortillas, carne asada, pollo asada and al pastor. Awesome food and service!“

“HUGE burritos. Cali comes with a ton of fries, I would ask them to go easy on the fries when ordering. Lady is super nice. Got my burrito in 5min. Definitely will try this place again

To the comments saying it’s expensive, majority of taco shops are raising their prices due to rent costs. Restaurants are closing every day cause they can’t keep up with rent. Give them a break.“

“We were in Sandiego 2 weeks ago and drove east to the area among other ones like ael Cajon were from Chicago and this place did not disappoint ! Wonderful quessabirria n pastor tacos with a ice cold coke in a bottle I was in heaven kudos and congrats we have plenty of places here but very impressed with great food Saludos! The only thing was parking may be an issud but for food like this you make it work well worth it.“

“I have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years. They have the best shrimp burrito I have ever had. After joining the military I would seek out a better shrimp burrito and never found one. Now that I live 500 miles away, I have made it a tradition to come and have a shrimp burrito at this location. It never disappoints, the best, same delicious recipe. Great family that runs it.“

“I usually don't post about things like this, but here I am posting. I was in a major bind because I didn't have any tortillas or any lemon or hot sauce for my lunch at work and I work with older people in a living facility and they typically don't have kitchens in their living accommodations so of course me being me and in a rush I completely forgot tortillas hot sauce and lemon with my lunch. I came by just on a whim to see if I can purchase said items and I was able to for a very small price and the lady was very sweet and I tried their cucumber lemon water and I'm going to be back just for that because I cannot get that anywhere else other than at the borderline. “It's our first time eating at Marlen's Taco Shop in Spring Valley CA & all the food we ordered was the bomb. They tasted so good I wanted to lick all the sauce of the container. I ate it without the hot sauce. Yummy, yummy, yummy! 😋“

“The food is good. But if you just walk in and order ? Be prepared to waite about 20 minutes for a couple Burritos. a lot of people call in these big orders, so you sit there and watch people walk in and pick up 4 bags of food ahead of you.“

“Ever since I found out about this place 2 years ago I make sure to stop here whenever I’m in the area. I’ve seen the same woman here I’m not sure if she’s the owner or just a long time employee but my coworkers and I are always greeted prompt and courteously, the food comes out at a reasonable time depending on how busy they are of course, and in regards to pricing, the freshness of the food and portions that I receive every time I order, coupled with the service I get makes it worthwhile each and every single time!“

“Ordered: Shrimp Burrito, Beef Taco's, side of beans and they were Excellent (The shrimp burrito, I've never gotten a better one)
The red chili salsa they serve with their food, also excellent. Service was friendly and efficient on a called in order.
Atmosphere... It's all about the tacos and the tacos were mighty good.
Everything was packaged very well. It's easy to serve at home and still quite delicious. If there's a better small Mexican restaurant in area, I don't know what it would be... So I'm saying this one is the best one. This restaurant is Cash Only fyi.“

“SO GOOD 10/10 I ordered a custom order which is a cup of elote with everything, two small bags of hot Cheetos added, and personally I like the nachos cheese as well. THEY DIDN’T DISAPPOINT!!! It came out just the way I wanted it the only thing I would change is to ask to have the hot Cheetos crushed up. I’ll be coming here regularly for sure!“

“I love there tripa tacos. Crispy cooked to perfecto. Manager is awesome. One day I went in to order food and he was going to have lunch. I seen his plate and asked what it was. It was a home made quesadilla style adobada taco. He insisted I try it. It was delicious 😋“

“The birria tacos were delicious. The drinks were way of a priced. They had a DJ that had really good music and then they had karaoke but it was so loud you couldn't talk to the person across from you. Every time we needed something from the waitress we had to wave her down to come to the table. She was very nice but service was not so good.“
