“During these times where Ubereats and other delivery services are king I placed an order through a delivery service but it didnt give me much choices on breads. I know what subway offers but Postmates was only allowing me to pick Italian (boringgggg). So I called and verified with Chris that he would change the bread type to what I wanted (Italian herb and cheese). Little things like that make a huge difference. Also I have attached a note left in our order due to them not having avocados which we paid for in the app. That's customer service! Thank you very much Chris.“

“My first experience here was good. The submarine sandwich was very delicious, crazy big. More for a family to share. Ordered pizza slices and the pizza is very cheesesy and thick. The pepperoni is a bit on the oily side for me so I ordered the mushrooms and olives. The location is nice. Will definitely be coming back soon.“

“What a classic spot. Giamela’s in Burbank is one of those true old-school institutions that’s been holding it down for decades. They’ve got another location in Sunland, but this was my first time hitting the Burbank one. A friend of mine’s been going for years and kept telling me I needed to check it out. I finally made it, and now I get why people swear by it.
The place is small and simple, no frills or fancy remodels, just that timeless, comfortable charm. You walk in, order at the counter, and instantly feel like you’re in a neighborhood joint that’s been around forever. They’ve got a short but strong menu, maybe ten sandwiches tops, hot and cold. That’s all they need. The parking lot’s small but manageable, and there’s outdoor seating with shade, plus some tables inside. It’s not modern, but it’s clean and real , the kind of spot where the focus is on the food, not the décor. Now for the sandwiches. The first time I went, I ordered their Pepper Steak, which is kind of their signature. That thing was fantastic. Juicy, loaded with flavor, perfectly cooked peppers and onions, and great bread that holds it all together. For about eighteen bucks, you’re getting a big, heavy sandwich that easily stretches into two meals. Flavor, portion, price, all top marks. The second time I went, I got creative and did a half-and-half: half Pepper Steak, half Pastrami. They charge a few bucks extra for that (about $4.50), which feels a little steep, but I get it, extra work, extra prep. Totally worth it though, because the Pastrami side blew me away. Honestly, I think it beats the Pepper Steak. Tender, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. Next time, I’m going full Pastrami, no hesitation.
If I’m scoring it: the Pepper Steak gets a 9.0, the Pastrami combo around 8.6 just because of that upcharge. But the flavor? Easy 9+. Both sandwiches are massive, satisfying, and packed with that old-school deli energy you can’t fake. Overall, Giamela’s is one of the best sandwich spots in L.A., period. Big portions, fair prices, friendly staff, easy parking, and zero pretension. It’s the kind of place that reminds you what a real sandwich should taste like. I’ll be back, probably sooner than I should.“

My wife just brought me back a Mr. G's (she did it right and got everything on the side that wasn't meat and cheese) and it was still the best Sandwhich I've ever had. It's truly that good. “We stopped here for lunch and the very first thing worth mentioning is the service from Gregory M, which was simply exceptional. I have been travelling around Los Angeles for two weeks and his service was genuinely the best we received on the entire trip. We were recommended the “November to Remember” special and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The sandwich was a generous portion and tasted as good as it looked. The turkey was high quality, tender and full of flavour, and the cranberry walnut toasted bread was outstanding. Everything was fresh, well balanced, and clearly prepared with care. To go with it, I had the house-made lemonade, which was incredibly refreshing and packed with real flavour.

“Mendocino Farms in Toluca Lake is hands down one of my favorite spots for a fresh, healthy meal. I’ve probably tried every salad on the menu, and they never disappoint. The ingredients are always crisp, flavorful, and satisfying. When I’m not in the mood for salad, the Peruvian steak sandwich is my go-to, absolutely delicious and packed with flavor.

The staff here are always friendly, welcoming, and quick to help, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. Parking is located in the back. While the lot isn’t huge, it’s manageable, and you get one hour free if you let the parking attendant know you’re dining at Mendocino Farms, just a small extra step for a great meal. Parking is easy, the café is clean, and the staff is always so friendly. The food is honestly so good—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. “First time here yesterday and happy to keep coming back, had the hot pastrami sub and it was seriously good loved the mayo mustard combo with chopped tomato onion and pickles combined and layered generously over the whole sub Also had the Tonys special sub .. lots of fresh and tasty deli meats mortadella hams salamis and again the in-house mustard mayo combo .. awesome sandwich For a side I had the bow tie pasta which was cooked al dente with plenty of the marinated artichoke hearts and a great authentic Italian feel and flavour As this had now developed into leftovers for dinner given the size of it all I took us home a tiramisu for dessert later, and as with everything else well worth the eating Opened in 1979 and still going strong .. it’s easy to see why“

Parking: There’s street parking all around the intersection, just depends how much you need to walk. Service is usually quick enough that I can put in a quarter for 15 minutes at the meter and I leave well before it runs out.“

As of right now they brought back the MEAL OF THE DAY which includes 2 cookies or chips with a small drink and if you want a footlong it’s just an additional 3$ which to me sounds like a perfect price and meal. It's a kind of a combination subs and a little bit of Korean, sometimes at the same time. Probably my favorite philly cheese steak in town. The bread is great. The teriyaki sub is delicious.

“We love Fat Sal's.
We go there for smash burgers mostly. I definitely haven't eaten every one, but of all the smash burgers I've had all over the city, Fat Sal's is to me the best. Lacey and crispy around the edge, American cheese as God intended on a smashburger, good bun and you can add lettuce and tomato if you want. Sometimes we'll get a loaded side of fries as well. The menu is full of delicious sounding, but a little over the top combinations of things piled up on a smashburger or a sandwich. I'd love to try them, but the regular smashburger is so delicious. They have a pastrami smashburger on the menu, but it has chicken tenders and a bunch of other stuff on it as well. I don't want all of that, I want a smashburger with griddled pastrami added to it, maybe some Swiss. The regular smashburger, maybe with an extra Patty added is the go-to for both of us.
The staff working there all knows and recognizes us. They're very friendly, and very customer service oriented. They always want to make sure we have everything we need and that we're taken care of, they'll swing by the counter where we're eating to see if we need any more ketchup, napkins, etc. It's really next-level service for this kind of a fast casual. Lots of TVs up high on the walls showing whatever sports is on, plus a Fat Sal's Venice Beach skater video running on a loop. Recommend if you like a delicious smashburger in a cool low-key environment with great service. And who doesn't?“

“The franchisee is a proud owner and has been there for 23 years. I hadn't been to a Quiznos and quite some time, it came up in conversation and I decided to hunt one down only to be surprised that there has been one in my neighborhood that I didn't even know was there. The food is great, Quiznos is a forgotten gem in the sandwich world. I also miss the Quiznos commercials with the spug monkeys. We love the subs! Because they are good to us. 😂“

“Have lived in the area most of my life and somehow it took me this long to finally stop in. Maybe because I sleep most days and work all night, I'm never up early enough? Honestly with the state of the world, most natural disasters won't get me out of bed, but I will now actually set my alarm just to stop in for a loaded gyro and some hummus and pita. Super easy casual spot, I want to start going through their list of sandos after how perfectly balanced and filling their gyro was, but honestly it's going to be hard not to keep ordering this every time. Super fresh, garlicky hummus, great portions for the price on everything, and a quick easy lunch that doesn't break your wallet.

What else can you ask for? Don't sleep on this place as long as I did, and support every local business you can right now. I got a super fresh, filling, quick meal for less than I'd spend at McDonalds, and I'll probably be back here once a week“
