“I'm not one to go to bars often, because of the rude bartenders and unwelcome stares from people. So when I say that I love coming to this bar, that means something. It's a comfortable dive bar, with a pool table and a Touch Tunes jukebox. I only like going to this place on Sunday and Monday nights when Donelle is working. Hands down the best bartender ever. She creates a super welcoming, unbiased vibe and always plays the best music. She really cares about her customers and makes great drinks. I really hope she continues to work there. It wouldn't be worth going without Donelle there.“

This is the best I've had! Bitter and sweet balance exquisitely - not brusque. Crispy Potatos - Well done, but makes you wonder if size is right. Close to being a french fry - but large! Crispy outside, soft inside, well seasoned. Mildly curious aioli pair well. Not perfect. Maybe needs another sauce? Seared Hokkaido Scallops - Scared green curry would overpower delicate scallops, but texture remains in tact. Curry pulls out creaminess. Delicate, but flavorful. Warm and clean. Scallion paratha is so necessary to give heavy depth! Cheesecake - Yooo!! Creme Brule is my fav and this is rivaling it! Bright and tart while velvety with deep. Not heavy! You'll regret not getting. Martini - A must every visit! I love olives, but tried lemon this time and loved how big of a difference it made! Excited to try gibson/onion next!“

“Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and Amanda saw to it that we had a wonderful experience. She was so welcoming and helpful. Many places have incredible drinks but if the service doesn't match, who knows if you'll remember it a few months down the road. The service is what makes people come back! “I've been coming here to Bodevi many times this past year. I was so stoked when I found out they serve wine AND espresso. I initially was drawn to their WINE FLIGHTS and VEGAN CHARCUTERIE. But lately maybe because of the cold weather I've been craving their LOX & CREAM CHEESE TOAST and BLUEBERRY GINGER LATTE. They pay really great attention to detail because my lox toast is perfectly spread all the way to the edges. The salmon perfectly scrunched for texture (not just laid out flat) and topped with sliced red onions. Then drizzled with oil I think and perfectly garnished with dill and capers...yumm!! Love the orange slices as well! The blueberry ginger latte is so unique and pretty! It has a richness to it like mocha but perfectly balanced. I get mine with oat milk. And I love seeing actual blueberries on it to give it a nice finishing touch. Get this before they switch out their seasonal menu! Once the weather warms up I may go back to trying their wine flights again. I recommend THE DAVID BOWIE so you can have the assortment of white, rose, and red if you're trying their wines for the first time. Other items I definitely recommend are the BURRATA PISTACHIO SANDWICH (I get mine minus the prosciutto to make it vegetarian) , the VEGAN DELI SANDWICH, and the DEVILED EGGS. You can't go wrong with those. They're delicious! They even have an assortment of board games, chess, and checkers that you can play in the private room in the back. So chic and charming for big parties! Service is wonderful! My lattes always come out perfect here made by Caleb and Melissa! And like I said they pay attention to detail. There's also a self serve water station by the bar. Parking is FREE in the back parking lot. Front parking you have to pay for with coins not credit cards. Such an absolute GEM in San Fernando!“

Great selection of beer, wine, kombucha, etc., solid bar food, and the staff is always helpful and willing to let you do a taste of something before ordering. Wanted to also chime in regarding H.R.'s one star review of the bar. We were outside that night as well, and her telling of events is hilariously untrue. She assaulted a patron, threatened a second patron, poured a beer on a third patron, and was finally asked to leave by staff. Her husband also threatened our table despite us not being a part of the kerfuffle she started with the people at the table next to us. It was definitely an eventful night, but the staff handled the situation well given how unruly she and her party were.“

“Checked out another local pub, I was completely enchanted by Roxy, the Bartender, more of a mom to the neighborhood regulars and, dare I say it, a true tavern matron from those D&D games. In her 20 years she went through the two owners, having been let go in the crossover, she was brought back to roust the unsavory elements of the pub and to restore order. She has done so and created a little haven for the locals. I hadn't been here for 15 years, and she remembered me ? There is pool, darts, the jukebox, which played stuff from this decade, but of course, you haven't truly been in a hometown bar until Toby Keith is belting out "I love this bar." Like he has brain damage, but that anthem, sung by regulars and travelers passing through winking and pointing and crooning, well it's a camaradrie that is sweet in it's loyalty and stamina. My husband surprised me with our first visit, and upon first glance, I thought we were strolling up to the Tipsy Cow. When we deviated to the entrance of Buvette, I was surprised by an understated front door but immediately delighted with a beautiful interior. “What a cute little hidden gem in the down town Montrose area. We were starving after a visit to Descanso Gardens and this place had photos of a cute patio seating area so we took the chance! The food was surprisingly very delicious! We shared a Reuben and a Cuban sandwich. We were disappointed to see no French fries, so we splurged on a hot pretzel! OMG it was so huge we took half of it home with us. Service was interesting- it was one bartender taking care of 3-4 tables of guests while we were there (plus a few take out orders). He did refill our drinks and checked on us twice quickly as he was grabbing stuff for other tables. We are pretty low maintenance so we were fine with it! I suspect this place is pretty packed after work for a drink and appetizers!“
