“I was a bit skeptical at thinking it is another restaurant serving s*ty soy sauce drenched noodles, but it was such a pleasant revelation how good the dishes were.

The Super Wok Special Beef is the one to order! It is incredibly tender, slight sweetness to it and buttery. It it served on top of a bed of sliced oranges. It is guaranteed to make you keep coming back for more. The dish is $19+ and serving is generous.

I went back another day to try out the lunch special. This time it was the crispy salt pepper shrimp selected. For $13.75, it came with a soup of the day, rice and the entree. Serving was very generous, maybe even 2 people can share one. It was excellent!

I regret ordering the prawn crispy noodles. Tasted terrible and too salty. Kind of like an overdone soy sauce noodles.“

He was able to substitute the item for me without issue. When I arrived, he confirmed my whole order for me and visually showed me that everything was there. Portions and quality were great. Love all the small dish options, feels like I could come here multiple times a week and not get tired of the food given the variety. I recommend the mapo tofu, king pao chicken, sweet tomato and egg, and eggplant. The mini buns are nice snack for the kids too. We make our own rice at home and pair with 5-6 of these sides. Feeds a family of 4 for about $25-30! Not a big space inside so gets a little cramped during busy hours.“

“We tried pepper beef (very tender, a little spicy), chicken in three cup sauce (very tender), oxtail soup, chicken noodle soup (some pieces of chicken were a little tough), chicken dumplings in chili oil (spicy), baby bok choy, green beans, and egg fried rice.

“My first time coming to Ping Pong and I really enjoyed my experience! The place is nestled in a busy shopping mall but inside it was very clean and well decorated. The food was great! It does look a bit run down on the outside, but inside looked nice and spacious.“

“We walked up and weren't sure if the place was open, but luckily some other patrons walked up at the same time so we followed them in. So glad we did! This is one of those Chinese places that opened when Adam was a lad and hasn't changed its approach since. The carpet looked original (and therefore quite worn, but that is literally the only thing I would change if I bought the place. I'd pay the chef whatever they wanted to stay, keep the service staff, keep the decor, and above all else, keep the menu. Traditional Chinese-American restaurant menu (quite long but mostly just variations on the same dozen recipes, swapping out proteins), but extremely well executed. We are new residents of the Valley and we will be regulars here.“

“This was our first time eating here and I have to say we were very Impressed. We were seated right away. Michael our waiter treated us so well. Explained everything on the menu and went over the new items on the menu as well. Everything was so good and Michael continuesly checked on us and always made sure our drinks were filled. He was so polite and nice. He even went out of his way to show is the 3 sauce platter since this was our first time. We have never had such a good waiter like him before. Michael deserves a raise for sure. He is absolutely AMAZING and we will be coming back!“

“Saw this place on IG a while ago, but subconsciously just scrolled through the post not remembering the name. I just happened to stumble upon it while getting my car serviced, and realized it was the place when I saw they were serving people fat portions of food.

Hyped I found the place. Great price, portions. Can easily feed 2-3 people. Quality is what you would get from a fast food Chinese place which is also great.“

“I used to come here years ago. I worked basically a few doors down at the Dispensary. I haven’t been around in years but I was over in the area and I stopped by. The stand out here is the Spicy Orange Chicken!!! It was perfectly fried and the jalapeños were the perfect complement. The noodles had a great chew to them and my two other sides had a lot of flavor. I went with teriyaki chicken and mushroom chicken.
There are chili oils on the counter and sriracha to take to your table. This is one of the hole in the wall places that I love.“

Also, their egg rolls are TRUE egg rolls like you find back on the East Coast, not the whimpy pinky-sized spring rolls. “i’m a foodie and I’m pretty picky. This is just small little place but the food is so tasty and the price is right. I had the shrimp and broccoli and a garlic sauce delicious and the egg flour soup they even have crispy noodles to put in it. And I have to say an egg roll should be crispy and they sure is. “Food is really good and fast service. All the service staffs are courteous and proactive. They'll even pack the left overs for you to go. Sodas are all canned (no fountain). The place is kind of old but they still manage to keep it clean and neat. You need to sign to queue (dont wait for someone to reserve your table). Overall this is our go-to for Chinese food cravings.“

“$8 combo with decent sized portion--chow mein, fried rice and a meat! Can't beat that! No frills restaurants. They don't soak their rice in oil like many Chinese restaurants. Good orange chicken, also saw they have jalapeño chicken and fried banana.

Parking might be tough in this neighborhood but it's free.

“I am Din Tai Fung’s biggest fan and the today went to the Santa Monica location located inside Santa Monica Place :) Stunning location and recommend sitting outside: the views are immaculate!! I got to try the new matcha jasmine latte which was a 10/10 for me. I appreciate the ceremonial grade matcha comes unsweetened and the jasmine milk tea is sweetened so it’s the perfect blend. Some of my personal favorites: shrimp fried rice, string beans, & crab xiao long bao, & cucumber salad :) Sam was our server today and he was an absolute gem!!’ So professional and nice!! I was here often around the end of 2019.
I remember they used to have good chicken wings. I haven't been here since then untill today, and I won't be here maybe for years atleast since I eat almost everywhere.

By the way... if you're on a budget, this place is a good place to eat. Their portion is generous and the foods are good. The Chinese lady who take your orders, scoop the foods, and charge you on the register has been very nice everytime I visit this place, doesn't matter how long she hasn't seen me, she's always kind.“

“No dine in so I won’t review service and atmosphere. Crab Rangoon was good. Orange chicken was fairly good but some pieces had more orange flavor than others. Black pepper beef had lots of vegetables and would have preferred more beef, flavor was good but could have been more peppery. Xo sauce string beans didn’t have much flavor, but I tasted the sauce in the bottom of the container and it was good so maybe the beans need to marinate more. I’ll try it again tomorrow and see if it tastes better. So, all in all, I’d say the food is kind of average.“
