“I was a bit skeptical at thinking it is another restaurant serving s*ty soy sauce drenched noodles, but it was such a pleasant revelation how good the dishes were.

The Super Wok Special Beef is the one to order! It is incredibly tender, slight sweetness to it and buttery. It it served on top of a bed of sliced oranges. It is guaranteed to make you keep coming back for more. The dish is $19+ and serving is generous.

I went back another day to try out the lunch special. This time it was the crispy salt pepper shrimp selected. For $13.75, it came with a soup of the day, rice and the entree. Serving was very generous, maybe even 2 people can share one. It was excellent!

I regret ordering the prawn crispy noodles. Tasted terrible and too salty. Kind of like an overdone soy sauce noodles.“

“We visited this location for the second time today, and enjoyed it just as much as the first time we went to eat there. The Sherman Oaks location is one of the nicest P.F. Chang’s around, as we’ve been to quite a few in Southern California. Staff is always polite and professional, and I want to give a big “thank you” to our server, Aliyah. She was so friendly, sweet, accommodating, and is exceptionally good at her job, and it really showed! We’ve had some good and bad dinning experiences at other restaurants in the past, so it’s nice and refreshing to know that people like Aliyah truly care about the customer experience. It also reflects well on the management—that being, they spend the time and effort in training and employing great staff like her.

“Needed to edit my online order but couldn’t after placing it, so called the restaurant and luckily was able to get some quick, easy assistance from David! He was able to substitute the item for me without issue. When I arrived, he confirmed my whole order for me and visually showed me that everything was there. Portions and quality were great. My favorite was the Mongolian beef. Would definitely come back, especially for a good lunch special!“

“Great lunch spot or to take to go. It’s a really good value for West LA especially. Love all the small dish options, feels like I could come here multiple times a week and not get tired of the food given the variety. I recommend the mapo tofu, king pao chicken, sweet tomato and egg, and eggplant. The mini buns are nice snack for the kids too. We make our own rice at home and pair with 5-6 of these sides. Feeds a family of 4 for about $25-30! Not a big space inside so gets a little cramped during busy hours.“

“We walked up and weren't sure if the place was open, but luckily some other patrons walked up at the same time so we followed them in. So glad we did! This is one of those Chinese places that opened when Adam was a lad and hasn't changed its approach since. The carpet looked original (and therefore quite worn, but that is literally the only thing I would change if I bought the place. I'd pay the chef whatever they wanted to stay, keep the service staff, keep the decor, and above all else, keep the menu. Traditional Chinese-American restaurant menu (quite long but mostly just variations on the same dozen recipes, swapping out proteins), but extremely well executed. We are new residents of the Valley and we will be regulars here.“

“Was planning to get tacos nearby but decided to try this spot instead.
Surprised by how big the portions were—definitely worth the price. Orange chicken had good flavor, but the breading wasn’t as fresh as I’d like. Chow mein was a little too soft for my taste, but still had decent flavor.

Staff was polite and service was fast. Place looked clean and food came out hot.
Not perfect, but not bad either. I’ll come back again to try other dishes. 🙏“

“Take out the way of memories without the oily paper boxes, it's a good thing! Whether orange chicken or beef broccoli, vegetable chow mein or egg fried rice, mains inside dishes are awesome. Hot and sour soup could've been spicier if heat is your thing. My favorite dish here has to be the cashew chicken, it's superb! I must not be the only one aware of take out from here, though the place felt quiet and offered serene dining for a few tables, the kitchen remained very busy. Multiple orders and their owners came and went in the scant few minutes awaiting my own delicious dishes. I've returned for more already but can't justify keeping this gem all to myself anymore.“

“Food is really good and fast service. All the service staffs are courteous and proactive. They'll even pack the left overs for you to go. Sodas are all canned (no fountain). The place is kind of old but they still manage to keep it clean and neat. You need to sign to queue (dont wait for someone to reserve your table). Overall this is our go-to for Chinese food cravings.“

“Chowking is one of the best Filipino small restaurants here in California. Their halo halo is one of my favorite especially summer time. Beef noodles and pork asado siopao is also really good. Employees are very nice and friendly and the parking is good too.“

Parking might be tough in this neighborhood but it's free.

“Saw this place on IG a while ago, but subconsciously just scrolled through the post not remembering the name. I just happened to stumble upon it while getting my car serviced, and realized it was the place when I saw they were serving people fat portions of food.

Hyped I found the place. Great price, portions. Can easily feed 2-3 people. Quality is what you would get from a fast food Chinese place which is also great.“

“Food was great as always. Our server was lacking. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and watched all the tables around us get sung to with sparklers. Our server brought us dessert without even lighting the candles and no sparklers. We had to flag someone else down to get the candles lit. “I am Din Tai Fung’s biggest fan and the today went to the Santa Monica location located inside Santa Monica Place :) Stunning location and recommend sitting outside: the views are immaculate!! I got to try the new matcha jasmine latte which was a 10/10 for me. I appreciate the ceremonial grade matcha comes unsweetened and the jasmine milk tea is sweetened so it’s the perfect blend. The noodles weren’t the wide, flat style I was expecting — they were more like fettuccine in size — but the flavor was excellent and the vegetables tasted fresh. Portions are large and generous, so you definitely leave satisfied. The service was fast and friendly; my server, who I think might be one of the owners, was very professional and welcoming.

What stood out to me is how much the restaurant feels like a true family-run spot. I saw several Chinese families dining in, as well as plenty of local families hanging out and enjoying their meals together. That’s always a great sign that the food is authentic and the atmosphere is comfortable. “Ordered takeout and food was made fast. Service was quick and front of the house is friendly. The chow men is a bit thicker. Their chicken dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. Their darker sauce dishes are more flavorful than other Chinese restaurants nearby. The moo goo gai pan was good. In comparison to other Chinese restaurants here, they have saltier food, but that lends to a good flavor.“

I was here often around the end of 2019.
I remember they used to have good chicken wings. I haven't been here since then untill today, and I won't be here maybe for years atleast since I eat almost everywhere.

By the way... if you're on a budget, this place is a good place to eat. Their portion is generous and the foods are good. The Chinese lady who take your orders, scoop the foods, and charge you on the register has been very nice everytime I visit this place, doesn't matter how long she hasn't seen me, she's always kind.“

“No dine in so I won’t review service and atmosphere. Crab Rangoon was good. Orange chicken was fairly good but some pieces had more orange flavor than others. Black pepper beef had lots of vegetables and would have preferred more beef, flavor was good but could have been more peppery. Xo sauce string beans didn’t have much flavor, but I tasted the sauce in the bottom of the container and it was good so maybe the beans need to marinate more. I’ll try it again tomorrow and see if it tastes better. So, all in all, I’d say the food is kind of average.“

Best thing so far about this spot though? They have Char Siu, it's one of my favorite dishes and I've been struggling to find it here.
