“We randomly stumbled upon this poke restaurant and it quickly became one of our favorites! The fish was incredibly fresh. The ahi and salmon was very high quality. I enjoyed how customizable the bowls were and how the sauces had the perfect amount of flavor and spices!

Portions were generous and the toppings were fantastic!

Staff was friendly! They provided helpful recommendations.

“Aloha Stacks is a popular Hawaiian-style breakfast and brunch spot known for its large pancakes and spam masubi. It's a family-owned chain located in a tiny plaza at 10300 Lower Azusa Rd in El Monte.

We came very early morning to grab some breakfast. Customers will
need to order on the counter before seating down. Dinning area is neat, spacious with a relaxing atmosphere. We ordered drip coffee, OJ, Avocado omelette and Blueberry Pancakes. Coffee was mediocre in taste except for the fresh juice. Foods were great and tasty. Service was spot on. Staff were assiduous and professional. Prices are competitive. Parking was easy. Overall, I enjoyed an early breakfast.“

“Fish was fresh and flavors were great. Love that they separate the warm rice from the cold poke when you get it to go. The only thing I’d say is beware if you add cucumber: my poke container had a lot of liquid at the bottom from the cucumber salad, which created a bit of an unpleasant texture to the rest of the ingredients that were also at the bottom of the container. But overall, I really enjoyed it!“

“I’ve been looking for a poke place and happened to find this little place. Went there once and the gentleman was very nice and helpful in the selection. My husband and I tried it at home and it was spectacular! Came back today and they were so generous in the quantity. I could say the best poke place I’ve eaten! “Awesome first experience! The traffic on Eastern had me turn into this food court. I've been to the green olive but decided for the Benton box at Poki N Roll. The tempura was lightly breaded and crispy. The portion of chicken and rice was very generous and I liked that the chop the chicken. Paola was very warm and welcoming. Thank you so much to the BOH and FOH for the great food and service. I'll be back to try other menu items.“

“This was the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life. How? How does it get so crispy and juicy and savory and delicious? The short ribs and bbq was incredible too, so was the musubi. But I was so full and I couldn’t stop eating the freakin chicken. I feel so thankful.“

“Located in a large strip mall, so lots of free parking. They’re tucked away in the corner. Not a lot of tables, but very clean. The food was great and the serving sizes were larger than I anticipated. I’d definitely choose this place over L&L. They have a big food menu and drink menu. I look forward to coming back.“

“My experience with the Pokeball was great the only thing that was missing was Ginger for my salad I didn't ask for any but I would have assumed that they would give me at least one to two small packages to go.

Service West okay did they didn't acknowledge me as soon as I got in but it looked like they were a bit busy my visit was about 15 minutes and I took my food to go.

Overall the young lady that was helping me was very kind and attentive.“

“17.99 for a bowl that looked small at first but I was mistaken after eating purple rice. Enjoyed the poke, tofu, and all fixing choices and sauces. Staff is very friendly and patient at explaining all the variety of choices. Will be back again“

“I came here during a week day, I accidentally dropped my home lunch 😅 so I walked it to this place nearby the job. The cashier girl was polite, I ordered a spam musubi and Katsu bowl. I was surprised at how cheap it was for a Hawaiian food place and the food was delicious. I loved how the katsu chicken was crispy and well cooked. I’d definitely come back.“

Along with the flavor, another one of my favorite things about this place is they are not skimpy. I usually get a large and can spread it out over two days because it is so filling. The fish scoops are packed and they hook it up with the toppings and sauces.“

I'm thankfull I got to meet that lady during my short trip in LA. Such a breath of fresh air and a lovely experience.
She is patient and welcoming and the food is great ! I mean, just enter the shop and you'll know you'll be eating good tonight.
The portions are huge for the price too. We did 1 serving for both me and my sister, it was perfect. ▶️ 15$ ! That's it !

“Delicious Japanese Hawaiian food!

Stopped by starving while driving home in traffic. Ordered the pepper steak and was blown away by the great presentation in the to go box! The steak was delicious along with the pickled vegetables that came with it, really loved the macaroni salad and the furikake on the rice was a nice touch.

Recommended stopping by here for a plate or two!“

and it stay ono! Ok. Hawaii talk coming out. Da buggah stay mean!

I also got the Hula Guava pie, and its like a giant poptart, but with guava in it. That's super ono too!

The food is like back home and I eat at a lot of restaurants back home in Hawaii, and ate in multiple restaurants in different countries, and the mainland.

So if you from Hawaii and try the food, you know you know.

“My first time coming here, and as a big fan of fish and chips, I have to say I was very satisfied with my order. I got the fish, shrimp, and zucchini instead of the chips, and everything was great. I also loved that they gave full bottles of condiments instead of the small little cups. My favorite part, though, was definitely the zucchini chips — they were amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back again!“

“The cashier is always so nice!! And the chili oil is amazing. I can only get the chili oil at this location always my go to for something quick! Sometimes they are very busy the line gets out the door sometimes but that just means the food is 👍🏼 definitely recommend if your in the area“

“If you plan on wanting to eat at home, definitely order ahead..Wait for Pupusas is usually about 20 minutes. The people there are very nice, they have reasonable prices, and I feel like they are consistent with the quality of their food( at least for the last 5 years that I've been going).. my go tos are usually Pupusas de queso con jalapeño and bean and cheese, oh and the loroco ones. Plus an order of yucca frita with chicharron.“

“This place has become my jam for Hawaiian food. And it's awesome that it's a short 10 minute drive from home.

Favorites so far include their house special mix plate and the mahi musubi. The house special mix plate comes with BBQ beef, chicken, and katsu with rice and mac salad. The meats are lean and the katsu is not heavy on the breading. Try the mahi musubi for an elevated taste, as you still get the goodness of the rice and seaweed but with a slightly crisp filet of mahi!

If you're pressed for time, call ahead to place your order for pickup. If you also plan to order fried items like the katsu or fried mahi, don't order the hour before they close as they might have cleaned out the fryer already.

There's a few parking spots but since this place is really a grab and go, it's not an issue finding parking.“
