“Best food and drinks all weekend long. Marco was just an amazing individual. He made our anniversary even more special. My husband is a huge mezcal fan and asked if there was a drink the bartender could make and sure enough they made the most spectacular drink! We loved the food and drinks so much we stopped in after our long hike from Angel Island. I ordered the same mezcal drink as my husband did the night before. G was just an amazing bartender and helped us out with all the different types of mezcal and what characteristics they bring to the table. Marco even recognized us and said you guys are back. I have been telling everyone about your amazing restaurant and not just the quality of food but just the atmosphere and experience we had with the staff. They are all welcoming and make you feel like family.“

“We stopped in here while in the area and were pleasantly surprised we had never made the stop before! I'm a dog person so anything with a Dog theme and I'm in, but this place didn't stop there. They have an impressive drink menu with a few things I'd never seen, and they also have these delicious NA waters (?) that I wish I could remember the name of.
They also have a great food menu and the service was very good. I'll be back and you should stop by too!“

“Beautiful and intimately small location to hear some great jazz music! The musicians were all very into the music, bumping along with each other and having a great time making some great music. The food was great as well, definitely recommend the bao! The cocktails were all very diverse, something really for anyone's taste, and were really quite tasty. There is a 90 min limit at a table before they move you to a bar, which makes sense. I also loved how the smaller location and unique entrance made the location feel welcoming but secluded. Would definitely visit again!“

“True Laurel has earned its spot as one of SF’s best cocktail bars. It’s a cozy and modern spot in the Mission area that’s near a bunch of other top spots so it’s easy to make a night out if visiting this spot.
The menu has a wide selection of items for everyone. If there’s no seating inside they also serve their drinks onto a parklet space in front of the building for those summer nights.“

“Had a great time, around a few drinks with friends. It is unfortunate that the beer garden area backs on a dilapidated lot. The thin wall is not enough to contain the rather unpleasant smell of what seems to be used as a public urinal and smoking point.“

“Went here on New Year’s Eve! They had loads of Christmas themed items which was adorable. The interior was beautifully decorated with lights and their music selection included Doja Cat. The staff were attentive and made very yummy drinks!“

“We walked in on NYE without a reservation and they graciously found us a spot in the bar area. Service was on point and staff were festively dressed! I love a crafty cocktail but most are too sweet. I had the Smokey mezcal cocktail 🍹. Perfection. Appetizers were delish as well. Perfect way to start our NYE celebrations.“

“This place was such a gem to find. We were out late and exhausted after the SOAD/Deftones show, and mistakenly dropped off here a mile from our other destination. We decided to eat there when we saw vegetarian options for our friend; we were not disappointed. Upon entering we asked if the kitchen was still open, and even though they said it was closing in five minutes, they whisked us inside. The atmosphere was trendy and cozy, our water glasses stayed full, and we were happily given the opportunity to order one more round of food before they officially closed-up shop. We absolutely loved the Tori Karaage, as well as the Agedashi tofu for our veggie friend (both of which we ordered again in the second round). We also got two orders of the salmon sashimi, as the salmon had perfect taste and texture, and the pieces were thicker than anywhere we'd get at home. I only wish we'd had the time to dig into their drinks menu. Both people we encountered (server and cook, possibly owners?) were incredibly friendly the entire time. We left for our hotel satisfied, well-hydrated, and feeling like we were truly taken care of.“

“Stumbled into this pub after a show in the theatre district and experienced a rush akin to what the first prospector must have felt finding golden nuggets in the Sacramento Valley - EUREKA! We have struck gold!!
Bottle Club Pub really IS gold — killer cocktails, mouthwatering food, suave atmosphere, and reasonable prices. It’s almost too good to be true.
The rotating liquor shelf is the star feature of this lounge, and it’s incredibly mesmerizing to watch it spin around as the red lighting dances on the bottles. It was fun to watch each new group notice it the first time it moved for them — it seems a pretty ubiquitous experience that everyone enjoys watching it.
The decor is kitschy Americana but in a classic, timeless way — very Norman Rockwell-esque. It gives off a masculine atmosphere with a warm, sensual vibe.
The cocktails were excellent and sit around $15 (affordable by SF standards, for sure). The TL crush was bright and fruity, while the Plum Daisy was surprisingly robust. Plenty of options for cocktails as well as draft beer and a small selection of wine.
The real standout however was the food — the fish and chips were PHENOMENAL. They were incredibly crispy and dusted with a type of chicken salt that added a unique layer of umami. The fries were lightly battered (which I loved) and the tartar sauce had fresh dill in it.
The Nashville Chicken sandwich was about as authentic as you can find in the Bay — it was dripping in that classic Nashville sauce and had just the right amount of spice.
The service was excellent and friendly. They initially mistook my fish and chips order for a burger, but when they brought out the wrong dish they quickly made it right and we didn’t have to wait long at all for the right order.
Can’t wait to come back and try more things on their menu. We’ll be showing this hidden gem to all our friends for as long as they keep that cool rotating liquor shelf maintained!“

“California Gold Bar is A Gem for Drinks and Vibes
If you're looking for a spot with amazing drinks and a vibrant atmosphere, California Gold Bar is the place to be. Their cocktail menu is thoughtfully curated, offering everything from expertly crafted classics to innovative new mixes that are sure to impress.
Tonight, I was in the mood for some bubbly ?, and they did not disappoint. The sparkling cocktails were refreshing and perfectly balanced, adding just the right touch of celebration to the evening.
The ambiance is just as noteworthy. With its cozy, laid-back vibe, it's perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after a long day. The warm lighting and relaxed seating make it feel welcoming, while the trendy decor adds a modern touch.
California Gold Bar strikes the perfect balance between great drinks and a comfortable atmosphere, making it one of the top spots in San Rafael for a casual night out. On weekends, the bar has just the right buzz, with a lively crowd but still plenty of room to enjoy the eve. Definitely a must-visit!
Cheers ? ?? ✌️ ?!“

“I can’t speak highly enough of my experience at Holbrook House. It definitely lived up to the anticipation. The deviled eggs with caviar were unreal and the martini cart service was excellent with the best blue cheese stuffed olives.
Kat was fabulous, friendly, attentive, and made my experience above and beyond. You’ll be lucky to get her table!
Thomas was wonderful and answered my touristy questions about the building and surrounding area of town.
Will be recommending to my local friends and visiting again next time I’m in town.
Dietary restrictions: They were extremely cautious with my shellfish allergy. Much appreciated!“

“Such good food, cocktails, and service! Wine by the bottle was a bit overpriced and red wine was served at room temperature, not chilled/cellar temperature. Highly recommend the lamb shank, salmon tagine, and harissa butter cornbread. The appetizer portions are very small.“

“Great cocktails and intimate atmosphere!
Ordered the Hemingway Haut Tottie, and it was delicious. My party also liked their drinks.
Place was clean, seating was in good condition, and the decor was very unified. Great for after work drinks or meeting a date for a quick drink. Good combination of booth, bar, and high top seating.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.“
“They have a lot of interesting cocktail options, and the atmosphere is good. I would say the drinks are slightly overpriced. That's my only complaint. I got the Arctic Elixir. If you're into anise and similar flavors, you'll like it.“
“If you’re in the neighbourhood and are looking for a comfortable place to enjoy some top notch cocktails you can’t go past For the Record. We stumbled across this place and were very impressed with their cocktail selection. Fin Barry was our bartender and made us feel welcome as soon as we entered. Cannot recommend enough!“

“One great cocktail, one not as much. Can't remember the name but collins glass was very refreshing while the smaller one (smoked mezcal) was very smoky to the point where it was harsh. Went there around midnight, it was pretty damn hot in the bar.“

“We selected Cable 55 for a pre-theater brunch, since it's about a half mile from the Orpheum Theater, and there are not a lot of other choices for Sunday matinees. We didn't realize that breakfast service ends at 10:30, and lunch service starts at 11:30. However, when we arrived shortly after 11:00am, the gentleman at the bar very kindly took care of us. He served us the sparkling wine we ordered, and even took our orders prior to the arrival of the scheduled server at 11:30. We really appreciated his help to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The lunch menu is a bit limited, but we all found something we liked, and everyone enjoyed their entree. Prices were to be expected at a hotel in downtown San Francisco. The server knew that we were headed to the theater, so he provided prompt, but not rushed, service. The restrooms in the lobby were clean, and we made it to the Orpheum with time to spare. We will likely return to Cable 55 for a future theater date.“

“Overall, good Italian food by SF standards. Not every flavor hit - there was no "dry aged" taste in the beautifully-constructed timballo, and "red wine braised" malfadini tasted way too much like, well, red wine. But I'd still come by to try more items on the menu.“

“My friend and I went here for the femme fatale: a film noir cabaret. The tickets were around $10-15 including tax and the show was equally short. Venue itself is fun although the surrounding area warrants vigilance. Drinks weren’t very strong.I do have to say though that the performance wasn’t up to par. I think that our star could have worked the room more. The script between her and the piano man felt disingenuous and it was not the “cabaret” I was hoping for. Imagine that with a silent bar that is full of people squirming in their seat. You could tell that they were enthusiastic about the theme and was hoping to engage or channel that energy into something. Maybe change the script to ask audience about themselves/thoughts about love and heartbreak instead of what is on currently.“

“Nice little cocktail bar, service is pretty quick and solid and the food is great, especially the nachos I was loving the flavors. The bar's crowd is interesting and a mix of everything. They were doing some karaoke at the front the night I went in, it was pretty fun. Pricing is attended SF but the kitchen is open pretty late which is nice“

“If you’re into tiki, this place is a must. If you’re not, it’s still going to be a very good time. Drinks are strong and expertly crafted. “I recently visited this cozy bar and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, thanks to the colorful lighting that gives the place a fun, almost neon-lit vibe. The ceiling is decked out with string lights, which adds a festive touch, making the space feel warm and welcoming.
The décor is eclectic, with a mix of Tsingtao beer banners and traditional artwork that gives the bar a unique character. The bar area is well-stocked, and I appreciated the multiple screens showing different events, from sports to other entertainment, catering to a variety of interests.
The crowd was friendly and sociable, contributing to the lively energy of the place. It’s a great spot for a casual night out with friends or even for meeting new people. Whether you’re there to catch a game or just enjoy a drink, this bar offers a versatile experience.
Overall, this bar is a solid choice if you’re looking for a fun night out with a laid-back yet energetic atmosphere. I would definitely recommend checking it out!“

“We came to the city for some nice food on a weekday (Duh, south bay sucks). On our way out we saw the Fireside right next to our Muni stop. Looked cool and the vibes were cooler. The fireplace, the doggos, locals chilling and the bartending service was fantastic. The music was excellent too !
4 cocktails split among the two of us was under 50$ which is still a very reasonable price to ask for in the city.“

“We had our last night at #Dreamforce Last night, and it was a great venue to relax and chill after a busy week at Dreamforce. Loved the staff, who made everything run smooth. They even had a coat/bag check, which was great to drop off those heavy backpacks that we’d all been carrying around all week. Highly recommend this venue for your corporate events!“
“Great watering hole in the TL, especially if you're early for a show at GAMH. If you go between 2-8pm, there is a lovely Korean bartender who will teach you Korean while you drink. Solid jukebox, clean restroom, and entertaining regulars.“

“My husband, myself and some neighbors walked over last night and celebrated a birthday with some drinks. One employee didn't seem stoked that it was busy but our waitress Christina was absolutely wonderful. Attentive, friendly and made me want to go back just to hang out with her! If you like gin the Crushed Velvet cocktail hit the spot.“
“Great cocktail bar. It was themed with "The Shining" for Halloween when we visited.
We got the Tony Negroni and Elevator of Blood. Both drinks looked and tasted great.
The bartenders were wearing red blazers with REDRUM pins, which added to the ambience.
Highly recommended for having a unique cocktail environment!“

“This was my first trip down to this area because I saw the Rabbit Hole on SF Restraunt Week, and I am so glad we came down! The restraunt week deal was great, and the food was delicious. They ran out of dumplings, but they allowed us to sub for popcorn chicken!
I’m gluten free, and I was shocked that so many dishes were gf friendly. It was also super tasty, and the staff were very nice. The chicken was moist, and the sweet potato crust was crispy and light. The waffles were really good fresh, but when they cooled down they got dense fast (so eat them fairly fast). The ice cream was also delicious, the mango was both my roommate and I’s favorite. We’ll definitely be back even not during restraunt week!
Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options!“
