“Really chill spot. They have a bunch of board games and books for patrons. The seating and atmosphere is really comfortable and inviting. It was pretty quiet when we went on a Wednesday night, but it was still a great place to hang out with friends.
I had it w/o alcohol, but the How the West Was Won was really good.

Parking: We arrived during a low-traffic time, and the restaurant nextdoor was closed, so there was plenty of space in the back-door parking; but it's a small lot, so it might be a bit difficult during busier times.“

“Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. “My girlfriend and I came in here looking for some solid ramen and got exactly that. She just got back from Japan and explained how it’s the exact style of ramen they have there. I’m a self-proclaimed food snob and this was easily the best ramen I’ve ever consumed. Plus, the cucumber appetizer will blow your mind.

I got the classic tonkotsu, she got the miso ginger. Both were incredible. The broth, the egg, the noodles (both vegan and not).

The service was also incredible. The host sat us at “his favorite table.” Our waiter, Rainer, was extremely kind and asked a ton about us. When we raved about the cucumber appetizer, he told the chef, Alex, who then came out and chatted with us about the dish, where we’re from, and our love for food.

Will definitely be coming back and highly recommending to the homies“

I was SO SAD I was not able to stay due to a long drive and only was able to stop by for a cold brew coffee. They closed at 2 am though so I was so grateful they even served me at I think 10 min till close!

If I go back to LA some day, I WILL be visiting this bar! And not 1-10 min before they close!!

“I recently revisited and was wondering why I didn't come at least every month here. This place has one of the best cocktails and vibes, but I always appreciate the bartenders' level of service and especially huge shout out to Daniel.
Daniel took care of us with utmost care with a single goal of making me and and my friend happy. My friend had a pretty particular taste and Daniel listened in and went out of his way to make a delicious drink.
Definitely love talking to the other folks at the bar. Highly recommend who wants great drinks, kind/fun bartenders, and just a good time overall.

“I absolutely love coming here, the bartenders Grant and Miguel are so unbelievably kind and always give the best recommendations! their drinks are delicious, prices on par for LA bars, and honestly some of the smoothest tequila I’ve ever tried. Grant has the best playlist, a lot of 90s hip hop and r&b, it is the key reason I keep coming here and will continue to do so. My only wish is that they reopen the club section soon, I’d love to have more dancing room. 10/10 all around, give it a try :)“

“I wrote an incredibly long and self-indulgent review before I realized I was insane. To summarize, I like Matu even though I am very much offended by how well the "Sugarfish formula" works on me.

I would say more than anything else, I enjoyed how nice everyone was, from the owner, to the server to the greeter, everyone was very nice and really enjoyable to be around. One of the few times I've ever regretted not being able to tip.

The food is very consistent and exactly to my tastes, if you like things that taste sous vide/reversed sear (don't know, just guessing) you should like the meat here. Couldn't really tell it was grass fed or American Wagyu, but it was all prime cuts that tasted good.

Lunch cheesesteak was also exceptionally nice, although I suspect some people won't like how the pepper has actual measurable heat to it.

Avoid 24-hour bone broth and Chips. 24-hour bone broth essentially tastes like jello, beef bullion, and onion soup powder (not saying it is, just tasted like). Chips were terrible which is bizarre because their fries are amazing. Other reviews claim the chips were good so maybe I had a bad batch but if so, they're inconsistent and how can you, in a commercial kitchen, mess up chips unless you weren't paying attention?

Get the fries. They're amazing.“

“Dr Dre and Andersen Pak restaurant. Sign me up! The service and atmosphere were great. We ordered alot of food and got to try alot of different things. Some were great like the wagyu beef and others were just OK which is why I gave it 3 stars. It's probably closer to 4 considering the service was great. Drinks were good also. I will admit in not a sushi person so I only tried one piece of sushi and it wasnt for me.“

“Hands down my favorite bar. We discovered this bar while working on the Fox Studio Lot and have become regulars ever since. The Mozzatini is to DIE FOR. And the bartenders are just so nice. This bar doesn’t have the pretentious feeling most bars have in Los Angeles. I will continue to be a regular for as long as it stays this way. But really, try the Mozzatini. Its so so good.

Parking: There’s always parking off from Pico, but you may need to walk a few minutes. Just check both sides of the road. And don’t park in the neighborhood, you will get a ticket.“

We priced out a ton of venues, particularly in Los Feliz/Silver Lake where we live, and Spare Room was hands down the best option and worth the 'schlep' from our side of town. Great cocktails, stellar pre-order food options (you can order there but for bigger groups it's worth pre-ordering), the bowling was a super fun activity to keep people entertained, and all of the servers were very attentive and friendly. Ambiance - The best outdoor seating on the street. They constructed some type of canopy, so that you were fully outside, yet covered.

Service. — Very friendly and prompt. The hostess took our reservation, gave an accurate wait time estimate…and maintained friendly eye contact as we waited. And our server was quite friendly and helpful.

Food — That is the main reason this restaurant gets a rare 5-star personal rating. The three of us chose from a wide array of dishes. EACH was so delicious that we were compelled to share with the others. Adult daughter ordered the Salmon pizza, amd raved. Wife got the Fish Tacos, and the Brussels Sprouts. Loved them. I ordered their Tremendous Burger. This had to be the first time in over a decade that a burger’s picture and description were compelling enough for me to order them at a sit down restaurant. I actually forgot how good an Ole’ Fashioned cheeseburger could taste.

There are clearly many restaurant choices in L.A. If you are in the Larchmont area, definitely try Great White!
