I was so angry so I called the owner, they explained to me the crispy tofu soaked with 卤汁 sauce will make the tofu looks like it’s not fresh… I didn’t believe him at first then I poked the black dots and they were really small pockets of sauce…. I don’t think they deserve a 3 star!!! It’s actually really yummy and taste fresh… I often crave this place. Also today when I ordered, I noticed they changed their tofu type and added more bok choy. “I went to Palenque by Mezcal twice last week — once on Thursday with my fiancé, then again on Saturday with friends. Safe to say: we were hooked.

Thursday night: My fiancé had the Torta Cubana (he LOVED it) and a beer. I went with the shrimp tacos and a Paloma cocktail. The tacos were tasty but spicier than expected — I had asked for no spice, so that was a small miss. However, the real surprise was dessert: the tres leches with lemon and blueberries — absolutely delicious! Not too sweet, refreshing, and such a nice twist on the classic.

Saturday: We came back with a group and ordered a variety to try — carne asada tacos, birria tacos, and grilled octopus. Everything was solid, but the octopus? Next level. Perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. It stole the show.

Prices are on the higher end, especially for Riverside, but honestly… YOLO. The vibes are great, the food is elevated, and it feels like a special night out without leaving town.“

The reason why I rated it a four is I went to sit outside and there was no staff around to clean the table, so I clean the table myself but other than that, everyone was very nice friendly and helpful. Bring me right back to my childhood time in Việt Nam. I recommend to go early to minimize waiting in line and finding parking.“

I kept my expectations low, since this is located in a food court, but I was surprised by the layer of flavors I could taste in this bowl of spicy ramen. By the way, THIS is the regular size, so I’m so glad I didn’t get the large size.

I liked that the toppings were served separately from the noodles and the broth. I could either dunk them in the soup before my bite, or eat them as is. The half boiled egg was soooo good with the spicy soup though!!! My tummy is so satisfied!

“Over the weekend, I visited this restaurant, and it was packed with Koreans, which made me think this place must be authentic! According to my Korean friends, eating tteokguk (rice cake soup) is like how we eat longevity noodles — having a bowl adds another year to your life!

✨ Braised Beef Ribs
The braised beef ribs here are different from what I’ve had at other Korean restaurants. Instead of the cheesy style, it’s more like the Gangnam-style soy-braised ribs. The flavor leans sweet, and the ribs are so tender that they fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. The seasoning is absolutely spot-on, and personally, I find it much tastier than the spicy cheesy ribs. The portion is huge — three people could easily have two meals out of it! Plus, this version is totally non-spicy, so even kids can enjoy it to the fullest.

✨ Pork Backbone Potato Soup
This has always been one of my favorite Korean dishes, especially in winter. Sipping the warm broth is so comforting! The soup comes in a hot stone pot, steaming and full of flavor, with around four big chunks of pork backbone. The potatoes are stewed until perfectly soft. Pairing the soup with rice is pure happiness!

This one was ordered especially for the kids. The broth is on the sweeter side, making it perfect to go with rice. In winter, there’s nothing better than enjoying warm, hearty soups at a Korean restaurant!

i got the pad see ew with chicken for $10.95... weighed about ~20oz... pad see ew is my favorite thai dish... i always get it... it's good, especially for the price... it has noodles, chinese broccoli, chicken, and egg...

i also tried the thai style omelette for $8.95... weighed about ~14 oz... t's just some rice topped with a fried egg... the egg is fluffy and salted to taste very good... but for ~$9, it is a bit overpriced...

overall, this place is cheaper than other thai places, but for $10 per pound of food, it is still pretty expensive...“
