“I’m always telling my friends about A-Town Pizza in Union City because it’s just that good! Every time I go, I know I’m getting fresh, hot, and delicious pizza. But what really makes this place special is the owner, Green. He’s super down-to-earth and one of the kindest people you’ll meet. “My experience was a mixed bag. The food was undeniably delicious, but my interaction with a male matured server/cashier left a sour taste in my mouth.

All the dishes were truly impressive. Each bite was a flavor explosion and equally scrumptious. The place knows what it's doing.

However, things took a turn for the worse when this matured server/cashier came over to my table. While I appreciate enthusiasm, this owner's brand of passion crossed into intrusive territory. He dominated the conversation. The real kicker came when he started micromanaging my dining experience, insisting I order fewer dishes and serve them on plastic containers. He said I wouldn’t be able to eat them all. I order two dishes so I can take it to go. I replied to him I could’ve eaten at McDonalds, but I want to eat on real plates and use real utensils.
Newsflash: if I'm capable of using a fork without guidance, let me enjoy my meal in peace!

While the food was great, the server/owner's overbearing demeanor put a damper on what could have been a fantastic dining experience. If Toppings Two Union City can work on striking a balance between attentive service and respecting customers' boundaries, I'd be more than happy to give them a glowing review. Until then, I'll recommend the food, but with a caveat: be prepared for a side of attitude.“

“This place is a hidden gem for asian fusion tapas. My favorite skewers are the chicken skin skewers, pork belly skewers, shitake mushroom skewers, shishito peppers, bacon wrapped quail eggs, mussels in special mayo, shrimp in special cheese. Their waygu skewers are dry, I don't recommend.

They need to improve their storefront appearance to draw in more customers. Inside the ambiance is nice.“

“We went here and had the most amazing tom kha soup. Like in my lifetime I've eaten a lot of Thai Tom kha soups, but this one tops all of them. We are planning to come back a million more times for their soup. It had the sweet, it had the sour, it was the perfect ratio for everything. I'm still reminiscing about it.

We also had other dishes and they were great, packed with a lot of flavors except the cucumber salad which was bland and not so exciting.

“We visit this Mountain mikes at least once a week. Every Tuesday they have 40% off large pizzas so get them while they are hot! The kids are always excited to go pick up the pizza because they have a few games to play to win prizes while we wait. The owner Richard is always so friendly and delighted to see the family. “This is a treasure and let me tell you why. It used to be that many Chinese restaurants that opened before the 1970s not only had the restaurant but also a full bar depending on the size of the property. The Kuo Wah, a legendary Hong Kong style had a full bar and a nightclub on Grant Street in San Francisco. I think the bar is still there. Anyway, some history to look up.
So it was a very wonderful nostalgic surprise to see this restaurant's interior which harkens back quite a few decades and it's full bar on the side. The bar is not big enough sitting and drinking, that's for your restaurant table. The menu is pretty expansive and We noted that lunch time had a lot of combination plates in a $12 to $13 range. The tea is nice and hot, and we chose just a basic meal. Broccoli chicken, bok choy with garlic, and white rice..
Broccoli chicken was good. I probably could have eaten a lot more in my younger days. The bok choy, however, was a wonderful surprise because it wasn't stringy and chewy, which is what you end up with a lot of the time. My bites crunched through, not chewy, and it was also delicious. Lot of classic dishes in the menu and I think over the the next couple of years I will make my way through them once in awhile. We don't go out much but definitely we will return.
Another thing of note, I did not see any chopsticks. I think it's an all forks restaurant. That's fine because they serve incredibly varied community at that location.
I think next time I may try their Hong Kong noodles or their chow fun.“

“We come here about once a month. We enjoy mostly the combination dinners with entree (we get Salmon Teriyaki or mackerel), mixed tempura, California rolls, salad, and miso soup. I tried the deluxe combo with entree, sashimi, mixed tempura, and nigiri sushi selection. Everything was very good. Quite a lot of food as a good value for Japanese food.“
