“Smaller pizza place in the valley. Place is pretty non-descript in a strip mall. Inside was quiet and clean. I got a calzone with pepperoni and bacon. The calzone was big so that was definitely a plus. I do feel that it could have used a bit more mozzarella but it was still tasty. I also got some garlic bread which was also good. Definitely a good spot with reasonable prices and the parking was easy too“

“I first tried Pizzana when I was taken out for my 21st birthday a couple months ago. After realizing I couldn’t eat much anymore, a lot of alternatives made me nervous. But Pizzana’s vegan, gluten-free pizza was something I genuinely couldn’t stop thinking about.
Yesterday, I decided to order it online. I messed up my order and tried to fix it through Uber Eats, but the wrong one had already been sent out. Shortly after, Pizzana called me back and took care of everything with me. They were patient, kind, and incredibly compassionate.

“NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!

The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.

They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.

It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.“

“I brought my team for lunch here and we had a blast with different types of pizza pies and sides. I’ve also come by at night and the whole area is activated with night market, bars etc. Also have taken pizza to go or by the slice. From the simple classic ones to inventive ones, with or without hot honey, Calabrian peppers… I’m coming back. I do like the zucchini popper. Just Wish they opened earlier for lunch.“

Taboni in Tarzana is an absolute gem. The pizza is outstanding — perfectly blistered crust, fresh ingredients, and that balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings that reminds you what real pizza should taste like. You can tell everything is made with care. The corn dish was also incredible — sweet, smoky, and loaded with flavor.

What really made the experience stand out was the service. Naor took great care of us from the moment we walked in. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely proud of the food they’re serving. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcome right away.

I was shocked to find out that they use organic products as well, this is so rare to find nowadays. Living in Italy for many years I’ve struggled to find a pizzeria that matches the pizza I was used to eating. Every pizza I have eaten outside of Italy usually results in disappointment and left over dry crust. With this pizza I am left with happiness and the crust is just WOW, I crave more. Their khachapuri is the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had my fair share living in Glendale) and they have incredible salads (caprese really brings me back to Italy) and sandwiches (turkey is my go to) as well. Instructions for reheating worked perfectly..although I can’t say my sauce “racing stripe” was as pretty as the Chefs 🤣🤣. Didn’t even matter though because this was the absolute best, and tastiest pizza I’ve ever had! Crust was thick and had the perfect crunch, sauce was divine (and I’m not even a big sauce fan), cheese oh so good and the pepperonis were heavenly 😌🍕😋. Looks like the best “Detroit Style” pizza is no longer made in Michigan. 😊“
