“AOC has always been a “go-to” restaurant for all the right reasons- food, food, food, service, service, service, ambience, ambience, ambience. I must have dined there +20 times and it just keeps getting better. And, NO, I was not paid for this review. I am particularly “gushing” with my comments this time because my wife and l are dealing with stressful external forces in our life and AOC provided a little quiet from the storm and performed perfectly in every way. One of the best meals we've ever had there. Kudos to all!“

“Pictured are the Tokyo Rich Tsukemen and the Smoked Dashi Ramen.The Tokyo Rich Tsukemen carried my experience here at Tonchin LA. I came here solely for the noodles made in collaboration with Keizo Shimamoto from Shimamoto Noodle Inc. They are really the star of the bowl. The tonkotsu gyokai broth was alright, but overall, this was one of the better tsukemen you can find in Socal imo.The Smoked Dashi Ramen, on the other hand, was quite weird. It starts off fine but the longer you take to eat it, the fishier the broth will get so get ready to slurp fast ?“

“This is an L.A. bar with an NYC feel…post gentrification. A good place for an intimate situation or for bein’ a gaggle of gays and theys. Not sure about the pricing as I was treated to my libations, but the service was friendly. I appreciated the attentiveness. They have high tops on one side and soft seating on the other with bar seating in between the two.“

“Spent a fabulous evening at this outstanding restaurant in Beverly Hills. Great atmosphere, excellent service and steaks cooked to perfection. Ashleigh (sic), our server was friendly, attentive and ensured that everything went smoothly. The chefs should be congratulated on sticking to their guns over how steaks should be cooked. If you like your meat "well done" either prepare to be converted or go elsewhere. Put yourselves in the hands of Matu's highly skilled professionals and you will have the experience of a lifetime. This restaurant is recommended by Michelin, an accolade which is justly deserved.“

“This was our first time at Saltie Girl. We will definitely be dinning at Saltie Girl again.The oysters were outstanding and not a bad price at $4.50 each. They had great flavor.LA Pink salad was very good with an excellent crushed maple walnut dressing dressing.The Moules Frites, probably the best I ever had, even better than in Belgium! Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor.The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“

“Cool vibe in the main street area of Larchmont! Stopped here for a quick drink after shopping in the area. Got a Michelada and Sangria! The Michelada had a nice kick and served with their own beer. The Sangria was good too and not overly sweet. Lots of cute and small boutiques nearby. Definitely would come back, and try some of their food!“

“1 star deduction because the tables are awkwardly small for 2, and the food all came out within 5 minutes, resulting in the waiter trying to jam way too many plates on at once. restaurant needs to learn courses and timing, even with family style meals. the food all came out even before we got our drink order(which was placed first) food & ambiance 5 stars. we were lucky to happen upon jazz night on the 2nd and 4th fridays of each month. strong smell of truffles when you enter, so truffle haters beware. mushroom arancini- crispy fried outer layer, with rice and mushrooms on the inside sitting on a truffle based sauce. overall delicious but could be more generous with sauce as inside seems a bit bland without it. still great pastrami wagyu topped bone marrow- amazing. served with warm toast. great decadent combination here striped bass - very well done. fish was tender and cooked perfectly. sauce was almost drinkable labneh- first time trying this dish, a strained yogurt. served with warm soft delicious pita. will definitely order this every time i return price ended up less than $100 pp with tip“

“Verse is a Super Cool Restaurant and Venue !! My Wife and I met my one of my Sisters and her Colleague from Paris. Great vibe as soon as you enter, with a very nice Bar, Jared was Great. Hostesses were very courteous and keep us well posted on table status, seating quite promptly at time of reservation and excellent table, almost dead center and just a 2 person table between us and Band-Stand. Music was flat Phenomenal, like Master Classic/Contemporary Jazz Musicians, Bass, Drums, Lead Guitar and Grand Piano, can't say enough about how good they were and fabulous it sounded. Food was very Flavorful, but some little hiccups. Milkbread and soft butter was excellent, hard to stop eating. Yellowtail Crudo Starter was one of best dishes of evening, beautiful fresh Yellowtail, Crudo and and wonderful sauce with delicious notable citrus flavor. Branzino looked excellent, Lamb Pasta was very tasty and robust, we had 2 Duck with Potato Pave & Chives which was super high quality and tasty, BUT Duck was undercooked on both Plates :(, I still enjoyed but my Wife did not. Sides of Broccolini, Crushed Purple Potatoes and Roasted Carrots were all very fresh and had excellent flavors, BUT my wife (Fabulous Chef/Cook) noted that Broccolini was a little Too Al Dente :(. We enjoyed an Excellent Bottle of Burgundy that my Sister chose based on recommendation by Matias (Owners Son, Wine Director and Sommelier), which was light bodied but packed plenty of earthy and fruit notes with a beautiful silky smooth and long finish, excellent accompaniment to our meals. The Sorbet was fantastic, fresh, flavorful and served with Raspberries & Strawberries. Last hiccup, I wanted a Cafe Mocha or Expresso or even just Coffee, to my disbelief we were told that they had runout of Coffee Beans and had NONE, it was only like 9:45 PM, not sure how that was allowed to happen, but...it did. Last note, table service could have been much better and our primary server could work on his table presence, we had to wait a few times just to get anyone's attention, I asked our server at least 3 times, maybe 4 who the Band was (Name) and he NEVER got it for me, he had to keep telling me he had forgotten to ask or just had not. No matter the Hiccups, this is a very cool place for Dinner and Music, like Super Cool.Parking: We arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday evening, and got the last parking (free after 6PM) spot on street, almost directly in front of Door, so was very good/lucky for us.“

“**Update: there is no place I enjoy eating at for important meals than at HLAY. Food and drink are second to none. But, it's the staff and crew that really and it into the stratosphere. I couldn't ask for a better meal, all around, than here. Jonathan, the place is in good, capable hands. “The Best Restaurant Ever.... Michael C. hands down is the best waiter one could ask for. Management is the best, my family and I felt so welcomed. We can't wait to visit again. By the way, that was my first time ever having Sushi Roll, (sweet & spicy crab), roll. And God be with me on the butter cake, the beeeeest eveeeer. “We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“Inside of Hammer museum!!! Beautifully seated in the arts and modern patio style cafe. We sat down at the bar for the quick coffee, bartender was very very polite and here we are!! “This was my first time at Dante’s and it was the best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a while. The food and drinks were amazing and the service was exceptional. My server Kathy was amazing, she had this radiant energy that just brightened up my day. I appreciated her checking in on my table to make sure everything was good while making some good conversation to make sure I enjoyed my experience. “This is our fourth time here since opened. We love it and even brought some first timers. Just a couple of things, the rigatoni was not as spicy as usual, the chicken parmesan seemed a little small and $45 for corkage is a little high my feeling.“

“We've been here for dinner and brunch. One word: Exceptional in every way: Fantastic setting. Great service. Incredible menu and delicious food. Lovely Hwood views. Perfect ambiance, design and decor. Gorgeous decks, landscaping and rooftop lounge areas, restaurant and bar. Lemon Grove is one of my favorite places in all of LA. Just go. Grab a weekend brunch, go for dinner or just for a rooftop bar lounge and and drink. (Unlike some other roof top bars/restaurants in LA, this one has zero attitude - from either the staff and crowd. Just friendly, chill and pleasant. A+“

“I have been coming here to enjoy their first class baristas and phenomenal bakery items since they opened. Tonight, I decided to take my wife to Fanny"s so we could celebrate our anniversary. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Managers Jimmy and Max ensured our special night was just that. Brooke was also fantastic as she waited on us and made the right suggestions for dinner and cocktails (both fabulous). To top off the night, we had the most amazing dessert. Thanks for making me look like an awesome husband tonight Fanny's.“

“Where do I start with how much I love this place? As a photographer it's a joy and a delight to be here but even without the fact that I've worked there many times... The food the decor, the staff.. if you get a chance to meet Eden Alpert you're lucky. Always kind.... And you'll notice that she's probably having the best time of anyone. The music and the performers are top-notch. It's not uncommon to see some of the top names in jazz.. however don't be surprised if you see Seth MacFarlane doing songs from Sinatra or an Amy Winehouse tribute. Sound mix is even and the perfect volume. Highly recommend the Caesar salad with a plate sized parmesan crisp and the mini ahi tuna tacos and save room for the hot chocolate cake. Food is top of the line and jazz club is elegant and upscale. Can't wait to eat and shoot pics there again soon.“

“Every time we visit LA we have come to the Edmond for years. They recently changed their license and unfortunately we didn’t find out until our friend came with her 18 yr. old daughter and we sat down and she had water and was carded and asked to leave. It is now 21 and over, so no more family meals here. It’s unfortunate, but true. Please Post a sign for those that have been coming for years and don’t check the website.“

Don't be surprised if the executive chef, Michael, shows up at your table to say hello and check in on your experience personally. It's a local favorite and a treasure....so whether you live in WeHo or are visiting.....it's a MUST! Whatever you order for your main entree, I insist you order a cup of your favorite soup!“

“Absolutely fabulous! The beef tartare was superb. I had the black truffle risotto and there is nothing better than that on the menu in my personal opinion, rich, creamy, earthy, simply delicious. My mom had the crab pasta which was so complex, but the lumps of crab added such a lovely ocean flavor to every bite. Our server was incredible! She was so attentive and kind and patient with us. But the best part of the meal was the tiramisu, not your typical tiramisu but the chocolate record decoration made the whole evening. Also the cocktails were worth every penny, expertly crafted and unique.“

“We came here for Easter Sunday brunch yesterday. It’s a cute restaurant with friendly staff.However, I expected the food to taste better…I ordered their classic breakfast pizza suggested by the server. First of all, it looked great. I’m not a fan of the fake bacon because it tastes like paper. After the first couple of bites, I realized the pizza was barely edible because of the amount of big rosemary leaves added in the pizza dough. I had to hand picked them out of the pizza to avoid tasting the ‘soapy’ rosemary flavor… and I love rosemary in general. Just not THIS MUCH. I asked my friends to also taste my pizza and they all told me I should send it back.Luckily, our server took it back right away and gave me the option to change to a different pizza.The second pizza I ordered was margarita pizza. It was pretty blend. But at least edible.I do need to say their menu is probably a hit or miss. My friends ordered the breakfast burritos that they enjoyed a lot. “The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“

“3rd visit - Obsessed! Innovate cuisine and meticulous cocktails at the level everywhere else wishes they could. Negroni - All time fav because the bitter punches hard (sometimes too hard). This is the best I've had! Bitter and sweet balance exquisitely - not brusque. Crispy Potatos - Well done, but makes you wonder if size is right. Close to being a french fry - but large! Crispy outside, soft inside, well seasoned. Mildly curious aioli pair well. Not perfect. Maybe needs another sauce? Seared Hokkaido Scallops - Scared green curry would overpower delicate scallops, but texture remains in tact. Curry pulls out creaminess. Delicate, but flavorful. Warm and clean. Scallion paratha is so necessary to give heavy depth! Cheesecake - Yooo!! Creme Brule is my fav and this is rivaling it! Bright and tart while velvety with deep. Not heavy! You'll regret not getting. Martini - A must every visit! I love olives, but tried lemon this time and loved how big of a difference it made! Excited to try gibson/onion next!“

“Most excellent experience and food was perfect. We had the duck eggrolls and the ricotta stuffed squash blossoms as starters, both had a delish specialty drink. I had the house burger with 3 different meats ground in including wagyu. Was done perfectly med rare. No room for dessert this time. Will def go back. Service was nice, we sat at the bar. “Very good salsa selection, which generally correlates to pretty good food (as in this case). Had the Roadside Burrito with fish and it was excellent. Family had the the hot chicken tacos, chicken jalisco tacos, and fish and shrimp tacos. All were very well received. I'd definitely check this place out if I were in the area. Miles better than anything near Universal.“

“Pretty good! I would go back to share with my other crew. Your fresh pasta dishes are good! The lobster pappardelle is really good! I want an order to myself! haha. Your mushroom fungi trecce is good. I don't like creamy sauce but this one is good. Hard to find a good bolognese pasta, but this one is good. The hamachi is good, nice tempura element. Lobster roll is excellent!! The family loves the lamb chops!! I am not a dessert person but your sticky toffee pudding is good!!“

“First time going. Went for a late lunch. Staff was very friendly & the food came out fast. This has an elevated or more modern vibe compared to other "traditional" Mexican restaurants with familiar menu items (tacos, chips&guac, street corn) but several premium items (tomahawk steak, lobster bomba rice) or unique options (jimca salad, shrimp chile) as well. I like the small plates and tacos but also appreciate the large plates for dinner. They also have mocktails which are fantastic- we had spicy passionfruit. Wel will ne neck amd the atmosphere is lively from watching sports to a date night.“

“Came here on a Sunday and barely made it brunch. We sat at the bar and it wasn't packed. This was around 2:45pm. They were nice enough to still serve us brunch even though the kitchen was going to close in 10 minutes. I got the salmon egg Benedict and my friend got the shrimp and grits. I liked mine, I've had better but it was just the right meal since I didn't want to feel so full. It came with a salad. My friend seemed to enjoy hers. We both got the same drink called Fanny something. Our bartender was so nice and fun and we all got along but the drinks are overpriced and it seems like they fill them with mostly ice so I'm good on their drinks here. Our bartender made us some good shots though with tajin and pineapple with a mango hint. The ambiance is so pretty. I'm open to trying more of their dishes but idk about their drinks.“

“The restaurant is the best. One of a kind menu. The chef do this weird but really creative culinary plates that doesnt make sense, you cant even imagine how it will taste, but i know for sure it will be really boom. You will be fascinated. I am an honest and serious customer. Although the place its just a little small and i will change it to 5 star once i think it deserve it. In my opinion. Customer service really good. Security, bartenders as well do their job as it should be. Just the small room doesnt make me go up to 5 star, but we'll see sometime.“

“One of the best restaurants in Los Angeles with staying power! The room was completely full on a Wednesday night. Of course chef Suzanne Tracht was there, greeting guests, making sure everyone was having a great time. That's the recipe for success: valuing your staff and customers.“

“Solid American Restaurant serving up good burgers and drinks!They have a solid tap list for beer!House chips are crunchy and addicting.Their fries are crispy and solid with the aioli sauce!Burgers are supposedly American wagyu! It was a nice melt in your mouth patty. The toppings are something serious. Amazing bacon, pretty good mushrooms, delicious camerlized onions. He helped me reserve the patio - for free - and all my guests could conveniently order their food and settle their tabs using their phones. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.I wholeheartedly recommend Stache for any event or gathering. Sebastian was an absolute pleasure to work with. “Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and Amanda saw to it that we had a wonderful experience. She was so welcoming and helpful. Many places have incredible drinks but if the service doesn't match, who knows if you'll remember it a few months down the road. The service is what makes people come back!
