“Cool little bar, not a lot of room, but I think this is the type of spot you pop in on the way some where else so not a lounge type of bar. We met up with friends here before a concert and its was nice. Bar tenders were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of while we were there. I ordered an espresso martini, superb! “We visited for my husband’s birthday and were blown away- I can't believe this restaurant is 4.3.
Having been to some of the top steakhouses in NYC, this was easily one of the most memorable meals we’ve had in a long time. I loved the smaller, focused menu; it’s clear they prioritize doing a few things perfectly rather than overextending. We opted for the tasting menu, and every dish was well-balanced and the tartare was a huge standout for us. What truly set the night apart was the service. It was attentive but perfectly relaxed, making us feel like we were being welcomed into someone’s home for an outstanding meal rather than just sitting at a restaurant. Also the ambience and vibe was moody in the best way!

“I went to the Tonchin location in New York late last year, so I came into the Los Angeles location excited and with high expectations. The food was good overall. My wife did not quite understand the hype around it, but I personally thought it was solid, even though it did not stand out as much as the New York location.

Where the difference between the two locations stood out the most was in customer service. We had to wait nearly twenty minutes just to receive the check, and throughout the meal the server rarely came by to check on us. Because of this, the overall experience at the Los Angeles location fell short of what I experienced in New York.

“I genuinely loved my experience at Guac Daddy in West Hollywood. Everything tasted really fresh! The standout for me were the asada fries and shrimp burrito. They were packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. You can tell they put care into the ingredients and how everything is put together. The guacamole was also really good and lived up to the name. The atmosphere is lively and fun, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Definitely a place I’d come back to!“

“This place is a total gem! You can tell the people who work there are committed to providing an absolutely excellent experience. We reserved a lane for my girlfriend’s birthday and the manger made sure everything was perfect- above and beyond. The atmosphere felt special, a great place to celebrate a special event. They have a bowling attendant who manages the lanes and kept the score for both lanes. With his advice, I played the best game of bowling I’ve played in literally my entire life. There are just two lanes make sure you book in advance and double check your dates. The bar itself is beautiful, tables start to fill up later in the evening and I recommend reserving that as well. The drinks were well-made and came out quickly. I usually just get a Campari spritz and it tasted better here than at many other bars around town- good champagne? I love that it feels so tucked away, has an if you know you know, good secret vibe. We’ve lived up the street so long, my only regret is that we haven’t been here more!“

“What an amazing neighborhood bar!! I’ve been to the many iterations of this bar, and this is a Great place. Karaoke, games, tables and couches to sit on and hang out with friends, a pool table and outdoor patio.
I unfortunately didn’t catch the karaoke lady’s name but she remembered my name.
Celebrated my 19 anniversary with friends and we had a great time.
Super honest people there too- a purse was left at our table when we moved to a different part of the bar, and they had put our purse behind the bar. We will definitely be back. Drinks were a little expensive, but everything is going up in price. Worth it to have a cute neighborhood bar. It was a nice mix of straight and gay, young and older.

And seeing the menu in print certainly validated our sleuthy intuition. \nThe food was very good and beautifully presented, no argument there. But over $200 before tip with one starter, two entrees and one dessert felt overpriced to me. Portions were sized well - they seemed small but were satisfying and we didn’t leave hungry. \nThe music was also a bit too loud, although I connected to the playlist. \nOverall a decent experience. I wouldn’t necessarily revisit, but would recommend with the cost caveat.“

“My brother and I had the most amazing night of superb jazz and food this past Sunday, entertained by Betty Bryant and ensemble. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! I'm back home in Tennessee now and plan to attempt to copy it, but having the authentic recipe to serve to friends when we entertain would be over the top! “Even though we were tourists, it was a very friendly local bar with a great atmosphere! The bartender was very kind even though he translated it into Papago for us because he couldn't speak English. The atmosphere was very nice and there were a lot of different beers, which was great! From a foreigner's perspective, coming to a local bar can be very scary, but this place was very comfortable, friendly, and fun! And the store had a nice atmosphere and the bathroom was clean, so I really liked it! It was a store near my accommodation, and I want to go there again before I go back to Korea!
