“This place is serious. Got the Pad see ew (they call it pad Z ew lol), tom kha with chicken, vegetable egg rolls, and mango sticky rice. Everything was excellent. Not good, excellent. Definitely if this is within 30 - 45 minutes of you, go out of your way to try it. Service great, very friendly and courteous. Prices are excellent too. You won’t be disappointed.“

“I loved my dining experience there! The decor is warm and special; the service, impeccable, and the food is beautifully presented and delicious. I recommend the lobster spring rolls, the calamari and shrimp salad, and the duck fried rice. If you really like lemongrass, then try the seared scallops!“

“We love Yanagi. Fabulous and fresh sushi, great service and there always seems to be a table for us. My tiny humans, age 10 and 7, love their sushi. At Yanagi, they are always well taken care of.“

“We've been coming here for 20 years and I think this is the best Thai food in Los Angeles. They use high quality meat and seafood and the taste is very authentic. Their chicken basil and spicy shrimp are a couple of our favorites. The staff here are so sweet. Family owned and operated. Thai food absolutely does not get better than this!!!“

Stopped by Chibiscus for lunch, and it totally blew me away. I ordered the ramen, and it was a solid 10/10.
The broth was rich, flavorful, and had the perfect depth to it. Exactly what you look for in a great ramen.
The toppings were incredibly fresh. The egg was cooked to perfection with that nice, jammy yolk, the bean sprouts added a great crunch, and the meat was super tender.
The portion size is great—definitely leaves you full and satisfied.
The place is clean, the service is fast, and the vibe is very welcoming. If you’re looking for authentic, comforting ramen, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!“

“Seeing other customers throwing money at the server, seemingly because they scanned a takeout qrcode to dine in, and seeing the server cry on Thanksgiving，anyway treating a server like that is rude and barbaric. I also hope the restaurant can adjust the spiciness of their hot pot it's just too spicy“

“Good food, I got the #1 and the portions were very filling. They offer samples of the teriyaki chicken which got me to order the dish. Although the actual dish wasn't as sauced, the meat was still tender and tasty. Only downside was that some bites of rice were uncooked.“

“I’ve lived in Mar Vista for years and somehow never knew about this place. Let me tell you… the fish is SO fresh, the rolls are delicious, but the spicy garlic edamame is on a whole different level of amazing!!!! Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and efficient. “FABULOUS SERVICE ! We rate great service above everything else and if we don't get it.....we don't come back ! My wife and I were heading to Santa Monica ( 152 miles from Solana Beach ) for a weekend getaway on Friday and needed a planned lunch stop on the way. Last year when I renewed my Australian passport at the Australian Consulate-General in L.A my wife jumped online and found a Lokal Sandwich Shop on National Blvd close by for our lunch break. The sandwiches, drinks and service were excellent at that location and we expected the same here. Considering we were heading towards L.A on a busy Friday we made great time. We parked in the private carpark and walked in about 12.30pm. It was bright and cheery inside just like the other location we visited. A sweet young lady named Emily greeted us straight off. First up we both had to hit the restrooms ( nice & clean ) after our non-stop drive from Solana Beach. NO PROB ! And then we sat at a table ready to select our lunch order. At the service counter we ordered 1 x ICED LATTE, 1 x THAI ICED TEA, 1 X BBQ PORK BANH MI ( cucumber, jalapeño, mayo, housed pickled daikon & carrots, cilantro on a baguette ) and 1 X THE CUBANO ( Ham, shredded pork, pickled cucumber, swiss cheese, mayo, dijon mustard on toasted rustic sourdough ). BONUS BONUS BONUS...when I checked in on YELP I got an offer for 20% off our first visit. I TOOK IT ! So far so good...very friendly service from Emily the cashier and WE LIKED THE VIBE....an intangible thing that you feel. Our iced drinks were ready in next to no time and tasted very refreshing. I haven't savored a BBQ Pork Banh Mi since last year ( at a Lokal Sandwich Shop ) and this one did not disappoint...hitting all the right fresh and healthy notes. My wife went nuts over The Cubano...quite a large fully loaded sandwich. It wasn't real busy at that time of day so we took our time enjoying our delicious lunch. I noticed that they had craft beer on tap...I didn't see that at the location we visited last year. I asked Vanessa behind the counter....why is this location called Lokal Sandwich + Burger Bar instead off Lokal sandwich Shop ? And Vanessa replied...because this location sells beer. OK ! We really enjoyed everything we ordered here and had a relaxing break from driving. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !“
