“The main entrance is closed. You need to use the intercom on the left side of the door to open it. After entering, park your truck. You'll see signs for the receiving and shipping offices. Go inside and sign in - the staff will assign you a dock number. If your dock number is 19-22, drive in according to the directions in the picture. The road around the entire building is one-way. If you have a 53-foot semi-trailer, the space for backing in at docks 19-22 isn't very big. It's easier if there are no other vehicles on either side though. Good luck - unloading should be pretty quick“

“This place just feels like a warm hug. The interior is filled with lush plants, mismatched vintage furniture, and a very welcoming atmosphere. I tried their signature lavender honey latte and it wasn't overly sweet, just right. The baristas are super friendly and remember the regulars. It's the perfect spot to curl up with a good book on a rainy afternoon“

“The coffee is always fresh. They roast their own coffee beans. I like the fact they have light, medium and dark roast. Dark is my go to. It has less caffeine. They are also dairy free. I tried Oat milk in my coffee, now I buy Oatmilk for my coffee at home.“

“Love how I can go for a walk before/after the coffee since it’s attached to the walkway. There are plenty of sitting area outdoor.

My personal downsides are that (1) their indoor tables/chairs are so short so I cannot properly get any work done. (2) they dont have a charging station. They have one plug by the entrance but that doesnt work. So inconvenient.“

I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. It’s that type of personal attention , and good product, that has kept me coming back. Enjoy!“

“A small little coffee shop. No inside seating. Coffee was decent. They have a good bean selection. My only complaint really is that they have a bunch of pour-over crafts upfront, but they don't do pour-overs at all. It's a little confusing but I guess it's just a good decoration item.“

It's a lighter feel; almost refreshing. The morning cup feels a bit indulgent, yet not so rich as to make your mouth feel overwhelmed. We could see this pairing very well as an after-dinner treat with any manner of desserts. The best part is that this is simply a fantastic company to work with. Quick, fast delivery. Prompt follow-up to make sure we were completely satisfied. And all questions answered - when we noted that we typically prefer darker roasts, one of the owners explained that their goal was to make a medium-roast whose flavors would still hold up to a coordination with cream and sugar. It's a throwback to days where customer service and the personal touch were still important. “Saw this place on social media and was in the area so decided to stop by. There was a long line but the wait time wasn't too bad. We got three drinks with a design. The matcha drinks were good. Also got a cold brew with sweet cream but the flavor was kind of simple and bland. The ambiance was nice but the time we were there it was just a bit chaotic because of how busy it was. It had nothing to do with the staff, they were all welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend visiting this location. The drinks with the design are unique and fun to have.“

“I eat breakfast once a week on average. The staff is great, always pleasant, great customer service. The food is good, I always order the one 12 breakfast. Can sub potatoes for a salad if wanted. Only one complaint having to do with restaurant next door. While trying to enjoy my breakfast outdoors, next door is being mopped with Fabuloso cleaner. Totally ruined my breakfast. On another occasion I sat close to that area and a plastic dumpster with trash was being wheeled by me. Not the greatest atmosphere unfortunately.“

“This should be your go-to spot for coffee beans if you care about quality and freshness! They have a broad range of origins and roasts to satisfy nearly anyone. I’m particularly fond of My Old Friend for perfect balance in a cappuccino or other espresso drinks. The roasts are consistent every time. You can see why they do so much wholesale with some of the best restaurants in town. Parking is a little challenging, but doable… or take the metro E line, it’s a very short walk from the LaBrea stop.“

“I'm surprised this place wasn't busier when I went! They have plenty of seating, great music and the perfect place to grab a coffee before exploring The Broad. I had a latte and the breakfast tacos come with some delicious side sauces. As a barista myself I can highly recommend not missing out on this gem!“

“Stopped by Stereoscope for a cortado and had a really enjoyable experience. One thing that immediately stood out was the barista’s knowledge. She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That’s becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience.

The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down.

My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn’t enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it’s a fairly minor criticism.

Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.“
