I have contacted the W. LA 2 time about this problem. I ordered on 7/15 and realized i scheduled it for 7/16, i called the restaurant, the woman over the phone said she cancelled it, i reordered it online, the delivery was done. the next day i got a text from door dash saying a driver was on the way to the location to pick up my order. I called the restaurant and they said they had no order, the driver also confirmed the order was canceled via text message. I had been waiting for the refund to post to my account and 10days later there is still no refund, no response from Zankou. I called the restaurant again this morning and spoke with Jaime and he insisted i needed to call doordash, doordash has no number to call, when you click help, it says to contact the store. this is a lot of money and i need to know how i am going to get it refunded when i have been sent in circles? this is the only way of contacting the company, no phone number, no one responds to the contact us form, no confirmation emails on orders. We go to Zankou 2-3 time a month, from the west LA location. I've ordered catering for work multiple times and we have never had any problems before. thats what makes this so hard to write. we have finally heard word there is going to be a zankou in the south bay and are family is very excited.

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“I ordered from Uber Eats, and oh my goodness! Food was fresh, still hot. The steak was tender, well marinated and so delicious. Hummus and pita bread…yummy! They even thought out every detail, making sure utensils and a little baggie with garlic sauce, hot peppers, hot sauce and sumac seasoning was included. Definitely 10 out of 10, thank you! “Food is excellent. Ordered the chicken thigh kabob and they were juicy and perfect amount of seasoning. We dined in and the portions were a lot. Get the grilled tomato! The pink dressing (I think they use beets) was a nice change. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s clean and employees were very polite. Would go back to try other menu items.“

“Santee Falafel in DTLA is a must.

We ordered the falafel, chicken, and hummus and everything was incredible. The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the chicken was flavorful and well seasoned, and the hummus was fresh, smooth, and honestly some of the best I’ve had.

You can tell the ingredients are high quality and everything is made with care. Simple food done right.

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. (Unless your attitude stinks or you're not willing to try new food ‍) Pasha again, thank you so much for the hospitality. “We are blessed to have this King Mediterráneo in Torrance. The food is delicious and very generous on the portion served. When I go there, I always try to say hello to Ara or Norah. It is such a pleasure to see and talk to them, they make me feel that we are long time friends. For sure I recommend this place and give them a FIVE STAR rating. I assure you will not be disappointed. !!!!!!“

One negative to note were the drinks: my latte was not satisfying - too small (~12oz.), not enough milk (too much foam for a latte) and per my request for extra steamed milk they offered two Coffeemate creamer pods - all while it set me back $10.40+tax; a 0.5 litter (16.9oz.) bottle of Pellegrino was $4.16+tax.“

One of my favorite things is that they can customize the cold foam with any logo or design you want, which makes the drinks feel extra special and perfect for photos. The coffee itself was smooth and delicious, and the presentation was amazing.
Their pastry selection is just as impressive. We tried a few desserts and they were fresh, beautifully made, and tasted as good as they looked. The food menu is also worth mentioning—everything was flavorful and well-prepared.

“The service was VERY friendly. My server, and several others, greeted me with genuine smiles. Started with Warak Enab Dolma/Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), which were excellent. They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. The tomatoes are perfect! Beautiful tea service. Very quaint atmosphere, friendly staff with genuine smiles, everything well presented. Will definitely be back. FYI: Ample free parking on the roof, enter on Western Ave (Petco).“
