“What a lovely place and a black Thai restaurant. I love the tom yum soup and we really love the artwork. The egg rolls could use some pork as they were not good at all. But I definitely would return for the soup again, especially now that it's getting cooler.“

“We dined at Meteora for the 6-course tasting menu with the hybrid drink pairing and added the grilled avocado with Kaluga caviar, and overall it was a memorable, well-executed Michelin-star experience. The food was highly creative, with interesting and thoughtful twists throughout the menu - my standout dish was the diver scallop crudo, where the sauce paired with horseradish cream was so compelling I wanted more with every bite. The avocado and caviar add-on was undeniably expensive but absolutely worth it for the depth of flavor, while my boyfriend especially enjoyed the yam course. We both agreed the dry-aged duck was cooked beautifully, but flavor-wise it landed on the more average end compared to the rest of the menu.

The experience was incredibly generous: complimentary wine, a sourdough bite, and an extra dessert were all included, and between those additions, the avocado course, and the tasting menu, we left very full - I was ready to tap out after the fourth course. The hybrid drink pairing was decent and appreciated since we didn’t want a high-ABV experience; the wine stood out as the favorite, the beer and sake were fine, and the juice pairing wasn’t for us. Desserts were solid, though not especially memorable.

Service exceeded expectations based on some prior reviews - we were welcomed by knowledgeable, warm servers who clearly understood the menu and made the evening feel special, even writing us a card for our celebration. The ambiance was beautiful and cohesive, and the entire meal felt polished and intentional. While this is an experience I’m glad we had once, it’s not something I’d personally return to at this price point, as there are other restaurants I’d choose for a repeat splurge. Still, it was a lovely evening and a worthwhile one-time visit for those interested in a creative Michelin-starred tasting menu.“

“As we walked in there was no hostess and all the bartenders saw us but turned the other way. We waited but it looked completely empty so we were a bit confused whether or not they were open. They could have said, "welcome, someone will be with you shortly".My friend had to walk up and ask if we find a spot or wait for someone. They said we need to wait for a hostess (not friendly at all). The hostess was nice and so was our waiter, THANKFULLY. I gave 4 stars for the lack of welcoming and because I felt like it was hard to pick something I thought would be good. Food was average, nothing too exciting from what we ordered.“

“The stars aligned. We were overjoyed to find a BOB vegan restaurant, inspired by grandcestor Dr. Sebi's alkaline nutritional guide. Highly recommend Beyond Vegan - Culver City. The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. Purple wild rice was a delightful surprise. Diversity in texture, flavor, colors, and quality ingredients. No better way to catch up with a friend than eating outdoors at Beyond Vegan!“

The Vegan breakfast sandwiches and drinks we ordered were so dang good and trust, we’re pretty spoiled with Vegan food in the PNW! The workers were incredible nice. Don’t miss out on the area in the back. It’s relaxing and nice to sit down and just forget about the world for a moment while you eat. Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

“I had such a great experience here! Danny, the manager, welcomed me right away and even set me up with a perfect corner table—which made the whole meal feel extra relaxed. Alissa, our server, was amazing—super friendly, professional, and on top of everything without ever rushing us. The ramen itself was incredible, full of flavor and beautifully balanced. “Quaint, friendly service, amazing French-style pastries, and delicious food. I’ve been here several times over the years. You order at the counter (where you can see all the delicious pastries!) and you are given a number to place on your table for your food to be brought to you. There really are so many choices (see the photos of the bakery case) but I neglected to take a photo of the drink menu. Today, I had the feta omelette and chocolate croissant. Gorgeous presentation and perfect taste and texture! Chaumont Vegan is a find! Don’t just go if you happen to be in the area; make it a destination. Some complain that it is not REALLY a vegan establishment because it is attached to its non-vegan counterpart. To me, this is a plus. The original non-vegan place used to offer some vegan options. But it seems demand was so great, they expanded to offer a fully vegan space with many more options! (I think this happened in 2021.). So, rather than put them down, I choose to celebrate them. Thank you Chaumont for first offering some vegan choices and then bringing us even more with a dedicated space next door. Updated from previous review on 2025-11-23“
