Their wine list is extensive and thoughtfully curated, with something for every mood. We usually sit outside on the patio under the heaters with our dog, and they’re always super accommodating.

The servers are also genuinely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable — it’s consistently a great experience all around. Highly recommend”

On a packed Saturday night, the team was clearly working at full speed. The chef in particular was impressive - focused, efficient, and handling a nonstop flow of orders without missing a beat. You could feel the effort and care behind the counter.

The sashimi was fresh, clean, and genuinely delicious - exactly what you hope for when you sit down at a sushi bar. The specialty rolls like Flaming Dragon were beautifully plated with a bit of flair, and the uni shooters were the highlight of the night - rich, briny, and absolutely outstanding.

Overall, a lively, high-quality sushi experience. When a restaurant is that busy and still maintains this level of freshness and service, that says a lot. Definitely worth coming back.”

“When we visit NorCal we always make as many stops here as possible. I think we’ve covered a lot of the breakfast/lunch options and we’ve been very pleased. The food is always fresh and tasty but some standouts are any of the omelettes and Benedict dishes. I love their blueberry power scone, but a family favorite is the zucchini bread which personally I find just a bit too sweet. The salads are fresh and filed with a wide variety of veggies. My recent tuna salad was so big that I took half of it home.
The service here is outstanding, all lovely smiles and attentiveness.”

The person that answered the phone had a really pleasant customer focused manner , nothing was too much trouble and he was so polite. “Love everything about Shadowbrook winery. It's a hidden gem tucked right in the Northgate neighborhood. The ambience is stunning just like or better than any other upscale winery in Napa. This last visit we had dinner sharing the special short rib, the Burrata appetizer and the avocado salad and everything was delicious. Love that you can purchase just a glass or a bottle or even a beer if you're non-wine drinker. It's our go to spot when we have friends come in from out of town.”

“Nothing but a 5-star experience at Tanoshi. Great value for their combo - at $14? Am I even living in 2026?! I doubt this will last long... And the food was amazing! Katsu and tempura were very well executed - even stayed crunchy after the whole meal. Raw fish taste fresh. Miso soup was well balanced. The salad was well dressed... What else can I say? Hmmm with such good quality of food and great pricing, their decoration was also very pleasant - their bathrooms were also well decorated!

Ok, nothing is perfect. Two things here. 1 - Low on staff. This place can get very busy and you might have to wait in line for a while. 2 - Shrimp tempura was the biggest disappointment. Microscopic shrimp with a thick blanket of flour. Still, couldn't recommend this place more.”

Extensive wine list, tasty small bites, comfortable and elegant setting, attentive service...and truly best of all...the music was loud enough to add ambience, but low enough that we could easily talk and visit. For sushi rolls, the 49er and the Hakashi roll are must-tries, with the Hakashi roll being my personal favorite.”

“First time in CA as an adult. Stopped by at Handel’s Homemade IC in Walnut Creek, CA. It was raining, and near store closing, and I was slightly sick.

I got the 4-combo sampler, with Mango Sherbet + Pistachio + Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie + OD (Ooohh Dough) and it was great. Shared it with others but I ended up finishing most of it.

Only thing that sucked is we had to run back in rain with the plastic lid closed. But otherwise the taste was great. I finished the rest of it in the car. My favorite was either CPB or OD, but the Pista was good too.

I’ll give it a pass. Nice ice cream shop; and they have a lotta flavors. Hope to be back if I’m in the area again.”

“Yes, the chocolates are decadent and delicious, but to me the real star here are the mochas. Rather than using syrup or powder, they melt actual, high-quality chocolate chips into steamed milk and add espresso. It is hands down the best mocha I’ve had anywhere. Soy, almond, and oat milk are available if you don’t do cow juice. Pro tip: they use a mix of milk and dark chocolate chips, but if you prefer all one or the other, just ask. The only problem with them is that you’ll be ruined forever and no other mocha will suffice. Treat yo self!”

One teriyaki chicken bento with shrimp tempura and a lion king roll was more than enough for two. Overall, super happy with quality and quantity of food. Definitely recommend trying out this place.”

“This is a five star review from someone who doesn’t even like beer. The bartenders here are either very good at what they do or performing some kind of sorcery, but somehow they always manage to find something that I enjoy!

The beer selection on tap and in the fridge is super broad, really high quality, and constantly changing; the atmosphere is laid back; you can bring your own food in; and dogs are allowed! Their regular trivia nights and other events are always a good time as well.

“I absolutely love this restaurant and have been coming here for nearly 20 years. The staff are attentive and kind, and the food is consistently delicious and fresh. We have celebrated birthdays here and they make it special.

Whether you’re going for a bento box or sushi (or both!), you will be happy with your meal. What I love is that it’s consistent from visit to visit. The sushi is especially fresh and, in the past, I’ve asked them to recreate some of my favorite rolls from other restaurants and they were happy to give it a go (and it came out great).

We visited again a few weeks ago and I was so happy with our meal that I wanted to leave a review. I should have done this sooner… they deserve every 5 stars!

The attentive and friendly bartender whipped up our cocktails within immediately. I had the Bees Knees - yummy! Same wonderful service from our knowledgeable, warm server. She made great recommendations and food was delivered WARM and FRESH. I enjoyed the steak salad and the steak was tender and cooked exactly to medium rare. Everyone happy with their selections. “The service is so slow that sometimes regret giving tips. They are so obsessed with customers walking in to make sure to charge their cards before handing your food that’s ready on the counter.

By the time I got my pizza, police put a parking ticket. That pizza cost me $78 including parking ticket due to so slow customer service.

Edit: they kept promise and compensated for my loss. I appreciate they put an effort to make customer service right.

“We were so excited when we learned Model Bakery was coming to WC, making it much easier to get their delicious English muffins. We’ve come for those, of course, and also enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches, croissants, scones, cookies and baked breads. All are delicious. My go to is the apricot pecan scone and the chocolate rad cookie. So rich and decadent. My husband loves the epi baguette, which we usually only get when in Napa. Staff are friendly and the lines have gotten shorter. We look forward to being customers for many years.”

“Great place overall! The food was excellent. We ordered the 6-piece wings—crispy and perfectly hot—and a personal pizza with sausage and mushrooms. It was the perfect amount for two people.

The kids’ area can get a bit hectic, as many parents sit while their kids run around. It might be helpful to have signs reminding parents that kids should be monitored at all times, especially around the video games. One child accidentally hit me with his sweater, and the parent was nowhere to be found—not Bare Bottle’s fault, just something that could be helped with a gentle reminder.

I also noticed some people using the parking lot for Trader Joe’s parking, so signage there could help as well.

The 21+ section is still developing, and I’m looking forward to seeing it fully come together—I’m hopeful it’ll be just as great as the rest of the space.

“An absolutely mind blowing experience and meal. We went for brunch. We had the halva pancakes and pistachio French toast. The French toast was my favorite. The bread was crunch on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. Great drinks as well. DJs were awesome. Music really set the mood for a good brunch.”

“What a great place to get some pastries! Do you have endless amounts of different kinds in these nice clean cabinets that you can reach in and grab what you'd like to have. Everything there is so delicious and fresh. The staff is kind and helpful and the atmosphere amazing. Treat yourself to something that will blow your mind!”

“I think they mainly do online orders. Not many folks seems to be eating there are staying to eat inside. Also they always seem to be out of avocado 🥑 I have been 3 times and never been able to get avocado 🥑 the sauces are fair.”
