Starbucks in Walnut Creek

“Small store on the street level of a condo building. There are a dozen or so tables inside plus four tables and eight chairs on the patio. Several regulars inside with laptops. The place stays active with pedestrian traffic and pick-up orders. They have an extra air cooler in the dining area to ward off the summer’s heat - it was a little too cold for me so I sat on the patio in the afternoon shade, which I’m sure is bright and warm in the morning.

Dean, the cashier and barista, was very welcoming and friendly - a perfect example of service with a smile. I received my latte in about one minute. The display case was clean, organized and attractive.

Only two or three parking spots in front, and be mindful, the parking warden is quick to write a ticket if your time is expired, and apparently if you park too far from the curb, as a BMW owner was soon to find out. (18-inches people, remember that!)“

I’m a regular customer, and one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is Nina. She is incredibly kind, always welcoming, and genuinely makes my day better every time I come in. Her positive attitude and great service make this place even more special.

“My favorite Starbucks in the area!! This is such an easy, quick, and accessible location. There’s always people here, and I used to think it was a con when they went to only outdoor seating, but I’ve ended up quite liking it, even if I’m doing work. The staff here are all friendly and attentive and it just makes my day whether I’m coming here in the morning or afternoon.“

“Not as hectic and frenzied as other Starbucks, this lowkey Tice Valley location has a great closing crew led by extraordinarily gracious Erick.

Though quite busy at register, he welcomed every customer and once the line dissipated, Erick quickly assisted his colleagues as they whipped up various orders. Initially, my drink was a bit watery, so Erick took it upon himself to personally remake it and did so with excellent—and humorous—customer service.

Very pleasant café experience thanks to Erick who’s truly an asset to not only the Tice Valley location but also to Starbucks overall.“

In fact, I had the best “Frappuccino Moca” ever I had from Starbucks and Brianna can make a very delicious and tasty Frappuccino. “Easy to order ahead and just breeze in for the pickup! Staff is friendly and if the weather cooperates there's plenty of outdoor seating. Sometimes parking here can be a challenge, but I had no problem finding a 20 minute spot this last time.“

I just spent 3 days at an airport for the computer wipeout in Atlanta and horrible service and it was so refreshing to come back to kindness and the BEST tasting coffee! “Thanks to my sister in Chicago I was giving a gift card to Starbucks. This was my first time in my life going and I was geeked. Due to social distancing I couldn't eat there but found a nice park. I had a turkey breakfast sandwich, danish and berry drink. Delicious“

“Came in to get something because we were in the area. Phenomenally pleasant service. Originally helped by a boy (I forgot his name, but he wore two diamond earrings and was very friendly)! He is the main reason I am writing this review. We were having some trouble with the app, and another boy named Cason (I think) came in to help us. He was also very kind, despite it suddenly becoming busy. The drink quality was very good and made by a girl who had her hair in a ponytail, she was very fast in bringing the drinks. I think these three are outstanding people, and I am sure the rest of the staff are as well. I hope they get the recognition they deserve! Keep moving forward! 07/21/2026“
