“Good comfort food. The stone pot was delish and came out so so hot. It was still steaming at the end of the meal. I had a lot of leftover and the side dishes were fresh and tasted good. The two ladies were patient with me on all my questions about the menu and the sauces. I was expecting them to be mean since so many reviews said they were but they were really nice and I came within the hour of closing and didn't feel rushed.I ordered the stone pot galli and the galbi combo. Both were good and the meat was not over cooked. Total for both dishes came out to almost $80“

“I gave them 5 stars because this is one of the best places to have korean jampong (the spicy kind). The food is great, I took 1 star off because honestly they have a huge menu and over 70% of the stuff are not available and never will be (why bother keeping it ?!?).
The service is great as long as you don't complain or ask for detailed ordering such as I can't eat this leave it out of the dish or such as can you NOT wash the noodles with cold tap water. Use filtered water instead.
The eatery is a small counter inside a supermarket. So atmosphere is like whatever. Expect lots of aunties and uncles and others around you watching you eat while talking in loud korean.“

“Bbq always delivers in terms of flavor. The only reason I didn't get five stars is because at this location the cook that works in the the morning afternoon shift is far superior to whoever they have cooking in the back at night... 😂“

“Yangmani Korean BBQ delivers an incredible dining experience with its high-quality meats and flavorful tofu soup. The marinated short ribs are tender and delicious, while the tofu soup is rich and perfectly spiced. The fresh banchan and attentive service make the meal even more enjoyable. “If you're on the lookout for an exceptional dining experience that feels like a warm embrace, this charming family-owned gem is a must-visit. The owners are not just figureheads; they're genuinely involved in the day-to-day operations, which adds a personal touch that’s increasingly rare in the restaurant scene today.
One delightful revelation I uncovered is that they prepare all the Banchans—those delightful small side dishes—right from their own kitchen. This homemade approach really shines through in every bite. I had the pleasure of trying their Bibimbap, Galbi beef, and the seafood tofu, and I can honestly say that each dish was a revelation.
The Bibimbap was a colorful medley of textures; the fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked rice harmonized beautifully with the delectable sauce. The Galbi beef was succulent and bursting with flavor, and you could tell it had been marinated with care. The seafood tofu was simply outstanding—rich, creamy, and generously packed with fresh seafood, making it a highlight of my meal.
What really struck me was the freshness of the ingredients. Everything tasted sumptuous and made with love, which is becoming a rarity in today's fast-paced dining environment. It’s clear that this restaurant values quality and authenticity, making it a standout option for anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine.
Without a doubt, this will be my go-to tofu house from now on. If you're in the mood for a home-cooked meal that feels both comforting and elevated, don't miss out on this fantastic culinary experience!“

“I ordered from for the first time today and I must say that it was the greatest decision I made today! I ordered their Katsu sandwich and fries and it was delicious!
The bread was soft, the Katsu was crispy and full of flavor and most of all the coleslaw on the middle was sweet and tasty! The fries were the perfect side to it, they were cooked just right and they complimented the sandwich so well.
They also have a variety of drinks that can cater to everyone's tastes. Even though it ordered a coke today next time I will try the tea.
Hungry Bulldog House you have got yourself another customer that will be returning hungry for more on a different day!“

“I recently visited Jang Ga Nae for gamjatang, and as expected from a place specializing in it, the gamjatang was excellent. But what really surprised me was how good their bossam and Squid Stir-Fry are — it’s definitely another standout dish. If you come here, I highly recommend ordering both the gamjatang, the bossam and Squid.
The flavors are very clean, and you can really feel the care and home-style quality in the cooking. This is one of my top Korean restaurant recommendations in the Lorena Heights area — highly recommended!
One last thing: I hope to see the owner smile a little more often — it would make the experience even better.“

“I got BiBim Nangmyeon (Spicy Cold Noodles) and Soondae (Blood Sausages). The sides were great. My favorite were the fish cakes since it was peppery (something I’ve never tried the way they made it). The tomato and cucumber salad was great, sour and refreshing. Kimchi tastes homemade, more on the gingery side of flavor. The only thing I would have preferred would be a stronger cold noodle broth. Prices were reasonable.“

“I recently dined at Sun Nong Dan on a Sunday for lunch. Although it was quite busy, there was no wait time at 1:30! The koh galbi jjim with cheese was absolutely delicious - savory and flavorful. We had a large group and were worried about the serving size not being enough, but ended up having way more than enough food, which is definitely a good problem to have. Our server, YH, was super attentive and helped us navigate the menu, making the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend Sun Nong Dan for great food and service!“

“Eat there only if you want to be treated like dirt. I am sick and tired of their way of treating their customers. They don't do reservations and their wait system is unforgiving and insane. 1. Long wait times like 1.5 hours 2. But with that long wait time, they only give you 10 minutes to "all be there" when they tell you table is ready. 3. That's not even the worst. They put a "wait time" estimate near their check in table. So you would think that is a solid guideline right? But no. The REAL wait time can swing a good 30 minutes both ways. Say they put "Current Wait time is 1.5 hours" you could get a call at 1 hour mark. And then they give you 10 minutes to get your party to be there. And they give you hell if your party can't make it like it's your fault that you don't have crystal ball to tell that your table will be ready in one hour’s time. I have tolerated it coz their food is actually really good. Meat quality is good etc etc. What broke the camels back today is. I checked in at 5:45 today. Wait time is 1.5 hours. So estimate sit time is 7:15 right? When I get the text that table is ready at 7:05 I thought all is awesome. AND THEN they told me that are actually having a staff party tonight and last call is at 8. That leaves my party less than an hour to do an AYCE dinner. I was furious. So I question them, “Why didn't you tell your customer that when they checked in?” "Well, we put the notice on the door. You didn't see it! So… 🤷🏻♀️” 1. There are a bunch of white and black notices all over the door and check in area. 2. And yes. My eye sight is not awesome. I didn't see it. But shouldn't it be THEIR JOB to let customer know VERBALLY when they check in that they are shifting the last call time an hour early? That’s basic decency. I wasted almost 2 hours there and by then it’s like lines all over the place for any place. I am never going back again for a restaurant that treats their customer like dirt so they can make money off me any more.“

“This side dish shop is the best I've ever been to. It tastes more Korean than Korea, and the quality of the kimbap in particular is sky-high. Keto kimbap without rice is new and healthy. This place has become a place I must visit every time I pass by.“

“This is the place we went to have a quick bite when we moved to Diamond Bar 8 years ago and then we found so many other places to eat and almost forgot this restaurant. Recently we visited this place again, the menu is same except price a little higher. The quality of food are same but now they gave you disposable chopsticks instead of re-usable ones in the past. Other than that, not much change, always busy but the waiting time is tolerable. I like this beef BBQ rib combo with seafood tofu soup and they are good. They don’t have steak knife but so provide a pair of scissors and a small pair of tongs so that you don’t have to eat BBQ beef with just chopsticks.“

“This is a soondubu (spicy silky soft tofu soup) restaurant like BCD chain. You can order combo menu with a meat or fish entree with a version of soondubu soup. You can select the spicy level and toppings for the soup. I thought the soup is really good but the meat dishes except for the LA rib were too sweet. Ban Chan (side dishes) were just average. For Diamond Bar I think this outlet is fine. There is plenty of parking in the shopping mall lot.
Parking: Plenty
Wheelchair accessibility: It’s on the ground floor with wheelchair ramp.“

“We have cravings for Korean food, but not the typical Korean BBQ. So we checked out Hanshin Pocha for the first time. Very down to earth setting. In the middle there's a big article and picture of the famous Korean chef (Chef Jong Won Paik) who also founded this chain of restaurants.
We told the server this is our first time so he was very helpful to explain the tradition and the type of food and what are their specialties.
We listened and ordered the whole fried chicken, the whole octopus, and the chicken feet stew!
We had such a good time! The food were exceptional! So tasty and fresh! You really have to try this place out and get the chicken!
Parking was very tigh as there are so many businesses and restaurants in this complex.“

“If you're in need of getting your Korean food fix at home, Oh Mama Kitchen is your place to go for that need. Since we were in the area, friend and I stopped by to grab some food to enjoy later.
Decent amount of parking in the lot. We easily found a spot and stopped by around 2 pm. They constantly stock their shelves and fridge so we weren't concerned about missing out on an item we wanted. Plenty of side dishes, main entrees, desserts, and drinks to choose from!
I picked up their steak bulgogi kimbap ($10), large japchae ($10), and some mochi ($7.50). I had initially wanted their non-spicy fish cake but they only had the small container ($8) of the non-spicy and the large container only had the spicy fish cake ($10) so I skipped out on that. I also appreciated that the person ringing up my order asked if I was going to eat the japchae that same day, as I had picked up the refrigerated box that's already cool and good for heating up later and not the container that was freshly made and still warm.
The inside isn't too big and if there are a lot of customers inside, it may feel a bit cramped. Luckily, most people know what they want, so the line to check out isn't long. Make sure to grab a basket so you're not juggling all the items in your arms!“

“I’ve been coming here for months and always loved the LA short ribs — they used to be tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. But my last two visits were disappointing: the ribs were tough, chewy, with hard, stringy parts, and seemed like they weren’t marinated long enough or cooked long enough. Even the bulgogi tasted unseasoned, and when we asked for sauce, we only got sriracha. I hope the meat quality and preparation go back to what they used to be, because this used to be one of my favorite spots.“

“Complex, authentic Korean flavors made with traditional p ingredients. A humble porridge could become a pleasantly enjoyable experience. I ordered bulnakji porridge today and instead of using ground beef or cheap meat, they used a good quality meat and then they sautéed the marinated bulgogi in butter. mmm. Chives/buchu they used were fresh and green. So was the octopus. Often times you taste the fishiness but this octopus or nakji had a very clean flavor. The venue and the food they served were very clean. I highly recommend this place.“

“Yuk Dae Jang never disappoints. This was probably my 7th or 8th visit and the food and service continue to be excellent.
Tonight my fiancée and I ordered a small bossam and the yuk dae jang ramyun. Both dishes were flavorful, well balanced, and paired really nicely together. We also enjoyed the free refill side dishes. I went for the fish cakes while she loved the kimchi. A bowl of purple rice rounded things out perfectly, especially with the leftover ramyun broth.
Big plus, they finally serve alcohol now. The ambiance was comfortable and even though it got busier toward the end of our meal, it never felt overwhelmingly loud. Service was attentive and friendly from start to finish.
Highly recommend this spot if you are craving solid Korean comfort food in Rowland Heights.“

“The food is plentiful, comes out quickly, and the taste is average.
But I think it’s only open in the afternoon.
The free popcorn was so soggy that I couldn't eat it, the tofu kimchi was too salty and sour, and the seasoned whelk seemed to have been under-mixed to the point where the sugar was chewy.
Still, it was plentiful because there were a lot of sea bream and dried dried pollack.
Altang is okay.“

“Solid spot for Japanese-Korean food in Whittier. The menu is small but focused which I like. We got the Cheese Katsu meal, Omurice, and Egg Sando. The Katsu was cooked well, not too greasy, very flavorful. The Omurice was my fave, fluffy and the sauce was really good. Another highlight was the Yuzu Panna Cotta we got for dessert. It was citrusy, not too sweet, great texture, we really enjoyed it. Their Matcha Yuzu-ade was refreshing as well. Good service and a relaxed atmosphere. We will be coming back to try some things we weren't able to fit in this time around.“

“I came here since I saw on their menu that they sell cheonggukjang ($15.99) and not alot of restaurants sell it since it has a strong fermented smell and taste, similar to natto according to the lady. I saw a video of a Korean vlogger eating it in a restaurant and I was curious. I had asked the lady for one and she strongly recommended me to get something more basic since I'm not Korean and the smell can be off-putting. I never grew up with this stew but I was willing to try. It got to the point another lady came out of the kitchen to see me eat the stew.
The wait time was not long, the lady gave me several banchans like kimchi, bean sprouts kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fishcakes, stir-fried potatoes, braised tofu, and purple rice. The stew came out piping hot, it was filled with chopped tofu, onions, and zucchini; super thick and chunky. It did have a strong smell and taste but it didn't bother me as I expected.
Place gives off old-school vibes, lots of older Korean people dining inside. The lady was nice, she was trying very hard to explain the stew to me. The parking lot can get packed, I went during the weekday so it was easier to find parking.“
