“Our furbabies love the "pup meals" at In-n-Out. We went yesterday for our furbabies 12th birthday and had a HUGE order for their birthday party with family. Mia helped us out at the drive-thru. She saw our furbabies in the car and we told her it was their birthday and told her what we were doing. She was so amazing!! She was patient with us and our order. As we drove thru to pick up our food, she came to the window and said "hi, it’s me again" and handed us 1 of our bags, which was the food for the furbabies. Inside the bag, was a hand written note on a napkin that said "Happy Birthday". We were so touch that she went above and beyond to make our babies birthday special that we told the other employees that she needed a raise! One of our babies has a heart condition that he wasn’t suppose to be with us anymore so this gesture was so special and made our day!! Thank you again Mia!!!!!“

“We've been to the Burger Lounge in Sherman Oaks but last night we were meeting friends who live in Calabasas so Northridge felt like a great mid-point option. There were four of us. I'm an extremely picky eater!! With that said, Bella (Front of House) took my order and even repeated it back twice which included her reading from what she punched into the computer. When my order came to the table it was 100% inaccurate. Kareem (Shift Leader) was very apologetic and wanted to immediately take care of it, which I appreciated. But, I wanted to take it a step further. I wasn't upset but curious as to how this occurred as I knew Bella had inputted the order into the computer correctly. She & Kareem were uncertain as to why it happened. Bella kept apologizing and I learned she was new. I told Bella it was not her fault but she insisted on taking ownership and Kareem wanted to do whatever it took to make me happy. My career involves running a company and training employees to take responsibility and therefore expeditiously turning the situation around. It's all about recovery and between how Burger Lounge trains their staff and the type of genuine human beings that work there....Burger Lounge succeeds at elevating the dining experience! BTW, the food was fabulous and if you're going to add sugar to it, their shakes are FUNomenal. Kareem & Bella are definitely above & beyond employees and the others working there were all happy & helpful. This is the gold standard and a recipe that should be non- negotiable for any business. Still worth negotiating the parking and the lines though. Very friendly employees. Lots of greetings and smiles. “The Hat in Simi Valley is an absolute gem! This classic spot at 1308 E. Los Angeles Ave has been delivering that old-school, hearty American comfort food vibe since the chain started back in 1951, and the Simi location nails it every time.

I went for the **world-famous pastrami dip**—piled high with tender, juicy pastrami on a soft roll, dipped in rich au jus—and it did not disappoint. The meat was perfectly seasoned, not too fatty, and the bread held up beautifully without getting soggy. Paired it with their legendary chili cheese fries, which were loaded, crispy on the outside, and ridiculously addictive. Portions are generous (we easily shared one sandwich and a small fries between two people and still had leftovers), and everything came out hot and fresh.

The service is quick and friendly—counter ordering keeps things moving, even when it's busy. Love the retro diner feel inside too; it's casual, no-fuss, and perfect for a quick lunch or takeout. Prices are fair for the quality and amount of food you get.

“Topanga Social has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the Valley. We went to STK for dinner and had a fantastic time. The restaurant has a lively yet classy atmosphere that feels both modern and comfortable. It’s the kind of place that works equally well for a special celebration or a casual night out.

The food at STK was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted like it was prepared with care, and portion sizes were just right. From start to finish, the quality really stood out. Service was just as impressive. Our server was attentive without hovering, answered all our questions, and kept everything moving at a great pace. Drinks, recommendations, timing—it all felt effortless, which made the evening that much more enjoyable.

After dinner, we went to the movie theatres at Topanga Social, and that was the perfect way to round out the night. The theatres were spotless, well-designed, and very comfortable. The reclining seats were a highlight, and the sound and screen quality were excellent. It was easy to relax and enjoy the movie without a single distraction.

What I love most about Topanga Social is that it combines everything in one place—great dining, entertainment, and a vibrant atmosphere. It feels like a destination rather than just a stop, and that makes it special. STK delivered on all fronts, and the theatres added an extra touch that made the whole evening memorable.

This time it was out of several including Coke and Cherry Coke. Other locations often stop serving some items in the evening even though they are Open Late.“
