“We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“This year we chose Black Bear diner for the location of our annual Chrispen Team Pumpkin Pie giveaway, and we couldn't have been more impressed. The manager Isaid was amazing from the start helping me plan the event and order hundreds of pies. The large patio provided a private and cheerful atmosphere and was the perfect spot for the event. Carlos and the rest of the staff were amazingly attentive and handled everything we needed on the day of the event. All of our clients raved about how delicious the pies were and loved the convenient location. We can't wait to come back next year!“

“This was my first time at Mariposa. I met a group of friends for lunch and we all loved it. From the start, we were pleasantly surprised with an excellent fresh popover with strawberry butter on the side and a small but delicious serving of warm chicken broth. The lunch menu was varied and reasonably priced. I had the chicken parmigiana with cucumber salad which was delicious. Others tried the cheese burger, fish tacos, chicken chili, etc. All raved about the food. The service was impeccable and we left with great memories.“

We sat by the big windows where we had a perfect view of the ocean and the sunset which by the way was beautiful that day. Food was lovely, service was great and our server Aaron V was very nice, he made sure we were good and had everything we needed. To top off our food we had dessert and ordered the warm butter cake which was delicious. “I happened to be in Huntington Beach for my dog and wanted to join other veterans and the places that celebrated us. I stumbled on 25 degrees. What a pleasure. The bartender couldn't have been any more of a delight. She even had them make a patty for my service dog. I met an amazing vet Darren and his lady Becca. Hi Becca and Darren. I think we are going to be great boat friends. I have a 17 foot Boston whaler a Montauk fishing boat and and need other fishermen/women to take it out. Looking forward to many days on the water. I will wear their sweatshirt with the pride I have for other veterans. Stop in and say hi. I wish I got the bartenders name. I will tell many. Love you forever!!!! Patriots“

“I stopped by Country Cafe and had a great breakfast experience. This is a small, mom-and-pop-style restaurant that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. The place was very clean, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and provided great customer service.

We ordered the Popeye Omelet, Hobo Omelet, and French Toast. My favorite dish was the Popeye Omelet, which comes with fresh spinach, bacon, onions, mushrooms, and Jack cheese. I added soyrizo and potatoes, and it took the omelet to another level — absolutely delicious and very satisfying. While I didn’t personally try the Hobo Omelet or the French Toast, my kids ordered those and they loved both, which says a lot. Portions were solid, and everything looked fresh and well-prepared.

Overall, Country Cafe offers a comfortable, home-style atmosphere with tasty breakfast options and excellent service. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot you can come back to again and again, and I’ll definitely be returning.“

“We had a group of 20 from Leisure World Seal Beach for outside breakfast. Called ahead and talked to Amy the manager to be sure the restaurant could accomodate us. She said, sure, no problem and took care of it for us. We had two servers for the group. Waitress took our order and served us along with one other person. Fast service. We had fun. Weather was perfect for us. We found out lots of other groups from Leisure World come down to enjoy the outdoor dining in Seal Beach.“

My husband was actually adding it to his chicken sandwich. We enjoyed the vegetable split pea soup down to the last drop. This lovely little restaurant has a very friendly vibe and we could hear repeat customers engaging the owner in conversation and laughter. We plan to become repeat customers too.“

Skin was good and crispy. Cooked to order so it takes a little longer but well worth the wait. She was very helpful and even brought my order to my car. Thank you.“
