“Stopped in for a tasting and I'm glad I did. This isn't a polished tasting room — it's a bar inside the working winery, barrels and cold storage right there — and that turned out to be the best part of it.
Troy poured for me and he's the reason I'm writing this. He talked about the actual wine: how the fruit is grown, how it's picked, that they'll pass on a whole cluster if there are greenies or raisins in it. Which barrels are new and which are used, so the oak doesn't take over. What's aged in steel.
I've been to a lot of tasting rooms lately and he's the only person who took the time to teach me anything.
When I thought I was finished, Troy talked me into one more — and it was delicious. It made the decision hard. I went with the Grenache Blanc in the end, because of the hint of peach in it.
Small winery, real people, and someone behind the bar who genuinely knows the wine. Worth the stop.“

“Wow what a lovely experience. Glo and team just do a fantastic job of welcoming you into the Family of Lucas Winery. The wines are well balanced and crafted with drinkability in mind. We hung out in the vineyard and had two bottles (Chardonnay and Zin Blossom) which were perfect with a charcuterie board and a warm sunny day. Swing by to grab a bottle or join their wine club. They work with UC Davis to repopulate Barn Owls. Meet Luca the fledgling Barn owl that left the Owl house while we were there.“
“Great winery. My wife and I really enjoyed visiting here. We came to watch a Motown performance, which was great. The food bar was amazing as well. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review was their bathroom situation. It is a shared male/female arrangement and my wife felt very uncomfortable when a man came out of one of the stalls. She immediately exited because it felt so weird. I came out of a stall and a lady seemed very uncomfortable seeing me in the same restroom. I know wineries might have to take measures to cut cost, but this shared bathroom situation is not the right place to do so. I hope they fix this or it will definitely turn some people away.“
“We search and search for that homey little winery that serves delicious wines at reasonable prices. This is that place, yet it isn't. These wines are popular and sold nationwide. Yet the winery flies mainly under the radar. There is no wine club, yet there are very reasonable prices for delicious wines, red and white. Drop in off of busy highway 99 and enjoy a tasting trip with their friendly and knowledgeable staff. You'll soon feel right at home...“
“The Phantom of the Opera event was my first time at Harmony. The intention, beauty and creativity layered into to the art, wine and music made the whole night feel a bit magic. “This is another place you're made to feel like old friends. This is family owned and they welcome you with a genuine warmth. Denise (mom of the family) is your hostess and along with excellent wine usually has a home made treat to offer up. Its a place you immediately become friends with other patrons. I had the Cab...excellent ! And my gentleman had the Zin. P.S...NO small pours here! Check their schedule as they are not open everyday, but usually open at noon over the weekend. “Matt and Evonne are some of my dearest friends. I have experience harvesting grapes with them back in 2001. They are hard workers true to family, friends and their community. Their winery is lovely, but it’s the service that brings people back.“

“Very relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the concert. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I was worried about using their porta potties but they had staff constantly cleaning them and restocking supplies. Their wine is delicious. They have good food trucks as well. Will be back!“

“Harney Lane Winery is a splendid little place to stop and enjoy time with your loved one, friends, or family—and you can even bring your canine companions along. We especially loved the outdoor seating area, which feels like a peaceful forest oasis nestled among the surrounding vineyards and orchards.
It’s a beautiful spot to relax, unwind, and simply enjoy the day. We also appreciated that they offer coffee for those who might not be in the mood for wine. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the wine itself was excellent.
We highly recommend Harney Lane Winery for a visit any time of the year.“

“While out exploring the wineries in the Lodi /Galt area we stumbled onto this Winery which was a pleasant surprise. St. Jorge Winery was elegant in it's decor and had great tasting wine (both whites and reds). Parking was easy and there was plenty of it and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be stopping by St. Jorge the next time we are in town.“

“Fantastic tasting experience. Really liked that I could "pick my own adventure" by choosing my own 5. Understood and appreciated the reason for reservations only, as I did feel it gave a better experience. Wife could get her 5, I could get my 5, we could share a bit and compare. Loved that.Beautiful tasting area. On a tour of Lodi, this was probably the most in-depth wine tasting knowledge conversations that we had, and both hosts showcased that. “Pondl Winery may be on the smaller side, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in heart. David is an absolute gem—a fantastic orator who brings every pour to life with stories, history, and genuine passion. We truly enjoyed the wines, especially the Dolcetto and Cabernet Sauvignon, but honestly, we could have stayed all afternoon just listening to him.
The labels are beautiful and meaningful, with such a thoughtful nod to both David’s and Pat’s heritage—it really adds something special to the whole experience. We only wish we could have met Pat as well.

“What an absolute gem of a place! We always have such a genuinely joyful time here. It’s a beautiful, family-run farm, and you can feel how much love they put into everything. The goats — mamas and babies alike — are impossibly cute and so much fun to be around. Their goat cheese and wine are delicious, and the whole setting, with the garden and chickens, is just perfect.
We’ve done a couple of their events and they were a blast — goodnight goats (babies everywhere) and painting with goats. Next up for us is goat yoga! We also sponsor a mama goat which comes with some nice perks. This is one of those rare places that just makes you happy the moment you arrive. Highly recommend!“

“Enjoyed the outside patio, very roomy and they had picnic tables. Dog friendly too. We were served 6 wines in plastic shot cups, which one then poured into wine glass. I liked the 2022 Old Ghost OvZ which is herby and has a great finish. Staff is very friendly and informative.“

“Besides Napa Valley, d’Art wine possesses a certain red referred to as dog day, and it is the most delicious red wine, parallel to wine that I have had from France, that I have ever had. d’Art’s dog day is wonderful, especially chilled. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful and Helen, the owner, is a wonderful personality.“

“The best tasting room in Galt. A wide range of wine from a rose to whites and of course red. I did enjoy the Zinfandel as it went down smoothly. The flights allowed to get a taste of them. “I stopped at the Lodi Wine Visitor Center while passing through Lodi and had a great opportunity to learn more about the region and its wines.
Paul welcomed me and guided me through wines from Anaya Vineyards, Lucas Winery, and Markus Wine Co., while explaining Lodi’s vineyards, grape varieties, and wine industry.
As a WSET Level 2 student preparing for my WSET Level 3 exam in a few days, I especially appreciated meeting Markus from Markus Wine Co. He spent time discussing winemaking in Lodi and shared several helpful tips for my upcoming exam.
I recommend starting here before visiting wineries. It is a great way to learn about the region and decide which of Lodi’s many wineries you would like to explore.“
“The service was slow at first for a tasting but we eventually had a host that spent time with us. You do have to pay for a tasting - $30. Instead of paying $60 for 2 tastings, he asked if we wanted to buy a bottle of the wine we liked for $50. That was a no brainer.“
“Tim was the best host. He welcomed us with the biggest smile and was interested in where we were from. Adam was very nice and took time to chat with us. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff was knowledgeable/warm. The whole experience felt like we were just chilling in our living room and not drinking wine in a tasting room. Housley Winery is a must visit whenever you are in Napa. My friends from Trinidad and Tobago and I from Greenbrae, highly recommend It.“
“Really glad we discovered Prie while on a trip to the Sierra foothills. Their wine was on the list of one of the restaurants we visited and we realized that the tasting room was on our way back home through Lodi. John is doing low alcohol, mostly little known varietals. What really caught our eye was the mencia, which is barely grown or produced in the US. He is doing a low alcohol, minimal intervention version which is very clean and food friendly. The Prieto picudo was also excellent. We didn’t try the mencia/prieto picudo blend but picked up a couple bottles regardless. If you are looking for something different, contrary to the huge California wines that have ruled for too long, this will be right up your alley. Cozy little tasting room on a quiet property. We will definitely return next come we come through.“

“Really liked the red flight, they let you try a good range of wines without being pushy at all. The guy helping us was super chill and knew his stuff which made the whole tasting way more fun. Only thing is the seating outside could use some shade, it gets pretty hot in the afternoon and we were roasting.“

“Probably the best vibe check space to try wine and hang out in the Lodi area. They have cool machines that can pour whatever you like as a sip, half, or full glass. Super chill space to kick it. Not really a place with a view, but that is kinda the point, you focus on the people and the wine. Being an introverted executive that galavants as an extrovert, I like this place, and I actually come back here by choice 😉.“
