Ellyngton's, located in the historic Brown Palace, offers a mix of good and bad. The restaurant's contemporary decor may not fit with its classic surroundings, and the table tops and acoustics are lacking. However, the food is mediocre, but served with friendly and attentive service. The Mother's Day brunch offers a nice selection, including made-to-order omelets and marvelous desserts. While prices are higher than usual, the atmosphere is attractive, and the staff is accommodating.
