“We first learned of Spruce House Bread when Jeff (“the bread guy”) and his lovely family were passing out loaves of bread in our neighborhood. I don’t know if he was even selling them back then (this must have been 6 years ago)! The bread was delicious but I didn’t think much of it until I saw them selling their bread at a booth at a local market and I realized “wo, I can actually buy this amazing bread from these amazing people and know exactly where it was baked and who baked it”!

Now we order a couple loaves whenever we have a special event or just want to treat ourselves and it is ALWAYS worth it. Every loaf I’ve ever had from Spruce House Bread (and I’d say I’ve had a very fair sampling at this point) has always left me wishing I had more. Each person in my family has their favorite… my 8 year old who won’t eat spicy things told me hers was the jalapeño cheddar one and I was shocked - her brother confidently told me “it’s not spicy cause they take the seeds out”. Reader, I am not saying that’s true (I wouldn’t know the difference between a jalapeño and one of those ghost peppers) but when your youngest and pickiest eater tells you that her favorite thing is something you’d never thought she’d even touch… there’s something special here.“

“We went to this restaurant first time and the food was delicious. The uzbeki pulao was so yummy. The meat is perfectly cooked and the taste is amazing!! We also had their kabobs which were also delicious. The owner and the host at the restaurant are very nice people. They were so welcoming and generous. They have delicious sweets, and the employee we talked with offered samples to both my wife and me - generous and tempting! - but the fluffy, delicious pitas are simply a star in my life I'll not be able to live without! “The baked goods here are delicious and the people are very nice. We have had tried their Naan, large Barbari style breads and their sesame bread. All of their breads have been awesome. The first time I went in it was pretty late and everything was put away but the last time I went they also had some pastry offerings up front. “Tommy prepared a beautiful and delicious double layer spice cake with cream cheese filling and frosting, and filligree stuff around the edges in colours I'd suggested which he nailed. Twas for my wife's 70th birthday party, and the cake was the star of the show. Tommy transferred a photograph of my wife which I'd emailed to him, on the cake, perfect rendition! “The best panderia in the Denver area. I got a variety of things, but my favorite was the pumpkin empanada. Everything was very fresh, not too sweet, and tasted homemade and authentic. Prices were extremely reasonable, the self-service area was very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. They also carried a variety of grocery items, fresh meat, hot food, prepacked and/or imported foods, and many other goods. If you'd like to buy conchas or other pan dulce in bulk, you can even call ahead and order a dozen. I'd definitely return and would recommend.“

“This is the best one, I’ve been going here since it opened many years ago for flour tortillas and corn tortillas made each day . Tip for the uninitiated, don’t grab the package that’s on the front of the counter shelves, those are the day old ones, they are selling for less than half price. We ordered a cake to be delivered to a co worker, in the notes I asked IF the delivery person was comfortable they could sing her happy birthday. My co worker called me that morning and said the woman who delivered the cakes did just that, sang her happy birthday on her front step!! “I've been going here for a while now and there's always a good deal. There's always good service. They're always very friendly.
When you walk in if you go to the right they always have discount stuff even though the stuff is heavily discounted to begin with.
They do stock some seasonal stuff and carry brands you don't know they make.
I always get the Orowheat breads Thomas, English muffins and the bagels.. they have a lot of Spanish stuff. Lots of different sweet bakery things. I've tried a few. I'm not as fond of those but they're cheap enough to try.“

“Arrived around 1:45pm on Friday so it wasn't too busy or loud, but there were less bakery selections due to our timing. I got and Jasmine Green tea and the chicken salad protein plate. Tarragon spice in chicken salad was very good. I was a little disappointed in the small portion of chicken. Nice quality of tomato, avocado and greens. I also bought the apple pie, good flavor a bit expensive at $9 but I got to take it home for a few portions. Nice environment. Pleasant visit.“
