“As we all should know, best by dates are suggestions and you can freeze bread and it thaws rather quickly. With that said, I love this little store! I find a nice selection of items, bimbuñelos, bagel thins, rolls, marmalade, you name it, all at less than half the price of the grocery stores. My only complaint is wishing they were open later! Even though I drive past it daily, I always either forget to stop or it’s too late. I’ve resorted to setting an alarm and hoping for the best.“

Flaky, perfect pastry complements delicious fillings that include seasonal selections (the peach and plum Danishes are both outstanding), and the people are incredibly nice. I dropped the ball and did not get a cake ordered for a party and reached out to A Cake Occasion and they were able to hold a heart cake for me. Upon pick up, one of the ladies working offered me writing and bows, it came out so pretty. Also, the cake tasted as good as it looked!“

“I love this bakery! I can’t have dairy and for a lot of years just skipped having a bday cake. I have gone for the “smaller” cupcakes, (quotations cause they are not small lol) before and they’ve always been good but this birthday cake has to be the best cake I’ve ever had and the most beautiful. My friends who can have dairy were asking me where it’s from and planning to order, that’s how good. Maple cake with espresso filling/frosting 🤤 will be my go to moving forward, I have literally eaten it everyday since getting. In fact, it's kinda tired in a friendly way. However, the people are friendly/efficient and the pastries are the best ever - anywhere. I strongly suggest the kouign amann. It's softer than most kouign amanns, and far superior to any I've had (and that's a LONG list from many different cities). The almond croissants are also top drawer. Try them all! “I had not heard of this bakery but a friend suggested meeting there a couple evenings ago. This was the Burke, VA location. The choice of pastries was pretty amazing, what we had was fresh and truly outstanding, service was efficient and friendly, and the place itself was very clean. Will be back!“

“It's a little store connected to the Entenmanns bakery. Lots of beads, donuts, pastries, they sell some bimbo products, and little bites, too. The only thing that's kinda annoying is they have all kinds of the little bites muffins, except the ONE I was looking for. Otherwise the store is very clean, well lit, it's just basically one large room with small aisles. Easy to find things. I love this store.“

“WOW! 🤩 As someone who works remote, I am always on the hunt for a place with great food, coffee, and ambiance. Usually I can only find 2 out of 3, but I’m happy to report Petunia is the exception!

I walked in and was blown away by their extensive bakery choices, breakfast and lunch menu, and bright space.

Ordered “The Boss” bagel sandwich and a mocha and posted up at one of their tables on the patio. Within about 7 minutes I had my coffee and sandwich, made fresh to order.

They have plenty of outlets, even on the patio, a strong WiFi, and an ambiance that made for the perfect workspace.

I am so glad I found Petunia’s and can’t wait to come back!“
