“The Irish coffees are strong and the food is fresh! Go for the chicken and waffles or the Colorado Bennie and you will lick the plate! Bonus is that they take reservations (but don’t require them) and have room for large parties. Super cool booths with high backs gives lots of privacy. Full bar.“

“Great meal. Walked in and taken directly to the table. Water and menus immediately. Our waiter,Troy, was excellent. Timing was great, entrees (2 different steaks) cooked perfectly and good salads and sides. Had a not great service experience here coming out of the pandemic and it was great to see they have recovered and feel they are back to one of my favorite steakhouses after this meal!“

“This was my second visit to Ameristar and both were great visits. I love the big bar and it's a great place to watch a game or meet and talk to people. The bar tender took care of our group and was on top of his game even though it was busy. It was Thursday and the first football game of the year so a lot of people watching as well as those that were just playing the slots. There were plenty of restaurants but I will say that I walked by the Fireside at 9:30 and asked if we could still have dinner [since they closed at 10PM] but she said "probably not". Well damn. This place is huge and has plenty of parking in the back.“

“The fresh bread was so delicious, and the filet mignon and au gratin potatoes were as well. Espresso martini and cucumber mule were also very good. We had a salad as a first course, and the lettuce was a little wilted and the vinaigrette was nothing special... But over all the steak was amazing.“

“As one ventures into the world of Blackhawk, known for its dazzling casinos and the allure of luck, Timberline Steakhouse stands as a delightful contrast to the whirring slot machines and card tables. It's a culinary haven where the gamble isn't on the menu, but rather in choosing what to savor from their exquisite selection.During my visit, I placed my bet on the A5 Japanese Wagyu steak, a decision that paid off handsomely. For the uninitiated, A5 is the highest grade given to Japanese Wagyu, a breed of cattle renowned for its rich marbling and tender texture. This marbling not only enhances flavor but also ensures a melt-in-the-mouth experience, much like hitting the jackpot on a lucky spin. The Wagyu steak at Timberline was a masterclass in flavor and texture. Seared to perfection, it balanced the richness of the fat with a delicate, beefy taste that was both luxurious and grounding. It was a symphony of taste, each bite reminding me why Wagyu, especially of the A5 grade, is held in such high esteem.Timberline's ambiance and service were on par with its food, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere away from the clatter of chips and the shuffle of decks. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of the meal was tailored to perfection. In summary, while Blackhawk might be a place to roll the dice, dining at Timberline Steakhouse is a guaranteed win. Their A5 Wagyu is not just a meal; it's an experience that stays with you long after the last bite. Whether you're riding high from the tables or looking to indulge in a sure thing, Timberline is a bet you'll be glad you made.Parking: Free parking at the Ameristar casino“
