“Food was amazing and came out super quick and was actually some of the best food we had on our trip thru here. The person at the ordering area was very low key rude tho which sucked. We’re not from here and I think she could tell and wasn’t very nice about it. Letting people order in front of us even tho we were in line first, being snippy, etc. We’re not picky or needy people so it sucks when we didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe she just was having a bad day and if that’s the case it’s no big deal. But it gave the vibe it was a very local place and outsiders aren’t welcome. Get the Bahn Mi and fries ???“
“Tammee and her crew catered our daughters wedding in Ouray this past weekend. Fabulous doesn’t start to describe! She also did the cake which stole the show! Several comments I have gotten since included ‘best wedding cake I’ve ever tasted’ to ‘top 3 cake in my lifetime’. We followed up by going to the cafe on Sunday where again the food was fantastic! If you need an event caterer or a place for lunch/dinner True Grit is the place!“
“A hidden gem when driving through this small town. Everything was amazing from the omelettes, to home fries, to biscuits and gravy. Pancakes were light and fluffy with a great edge and great service. Cute vibe with local photography and clean wooden decor. Highly recommend.“
“Came here on a quiet Thursday for breakfast after reading the bougie landrover review. Solidly good food! Croissant sammie was delicious as was the breakfast burrito. Parking was tricky to figure out but if you’re flexible, you can figure it out.“
“Loved our room. More than I expected. So comfy and beautiful. The bed, pillows and comforter were all soft and perfect. We slept through the night. Great location. The on-site spa, chlorinated, pool, Hot Springs pool, restaurant, and bar were extra bonuses. They even have bicycle rentals. The free breakfast is a grab and go bagel, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee and hot cocoa. Perfect breakfast options for us- no fuss. Some TV sounds come through the walls or ceiling but nothing too loud. We couldn’t hear the live music from the on-site bar from our room unless I sat on the patio. There is a neighborhood tennis court and concrete walking trails located across the street from the lodge. This was not associated with the lodge, however, we enjoyed it. We got great recommendations for the town from the girl who checked us in. We enjoyed our stay and will return.“
“Eating at the Brickhouse is a must do if you are visiting Ouray. The co-owner, Lauren, is an expert mixologist. Her cocktails were special and unique. The food was delicious with highlights being the weekend special, a ginger rib appetizer and a decadent, chocolate flourless cake topped with saltedcaramel ice cream and crisped hazelnuts. We appreciated the friendly conversation and the advice for other places to visit and things to do in the local area. We are sure glad that Erin was able able to get us seated. We will be back.“
“The wings in Buffalo sauce were excellent. The French fries were extra crispy as requested. And the ESB draft beers were as good as any we had in the UK. Add in the friendly staff and quick service and it should be on your “must” list when you are in Ouray.“
“I order a pep pizza for takeout and it was one of the best pizza I've had. Service was fast and friendly only waited 10min for the pizza and while i was waiting. I noticed that the atmosphere was really chill would definitely grab a few drinks from the bar if it wasn't takeout.“
“Thanksgiving dinner here was a rip off! Goey over saged dressing, dry turkey and way over priced! Was the only place in the area we vacationed to get Thanksgiving dinner and it was so disappointing! Not to mention the wait staff was slow, unattentive and not very friendly! 5 thumbs down! Don't waste your time and money!“
