“Farmington Mini Golf and Ice cream opened in 1962. They offer an 18-hole golf course as well as an ice cream parlor. They offer many flavors of ice cream, slushies, etc.

I took the kids there in the summer and they loved it. The ice cream was also a nice treat. The golf course looked nicely maintained and the service was good. There is a grassy area with picnic tables to enjoy your ice cream. They also have tables on the porch area. I think it's a nice spot to mini golf!“

I will say I am more partial to the street food side of the restaurant, their ice cream is very good too. They always have a wide variety of flavors and you can get any flavor made into an ice cream sandwich which is pretty cool. I recommend checking out grassroots for dinner and dessert next time you are in the area! They have multiple locations as well (I am biased towards their Granby one as the food there is a bit more consistent!)“

“Overall, Ben & Jerry’s is a great spot to stop by for a scoop of ice cream! it’s been a staple of W. Hartford Center for many years now, and I’m grateful that it’s maintained such a long-term presence. The staff are always friendly, kind, and very efficient! The price is a little steep, but so is everything in West Hartford these days.

Overall, there’s a good selection of ice cream! I consume only dairy free ice cream, and usually they will have at least 2 to 3 flavors. The selection of dairy ice cream flavors is more expansive, and they truly have something for everyone in terms of taste. Their shakes and smoothies also looked delicious as well!

Unfortunately, the line is usually extremely long in the summer. The last time I was there, in late June, the line stretched all the way out the door. There were only two employees working, and they seemed quite young. They were doing a wonderful job, but it looked like a lot to juggle. In the warmer months, it may be helpful to staff more people due to the sheer volume.

I wanted to mention something that occurred at my last visit that concerned me. The line was extremely long. The couple in front of us had two medium-large sheepdogs. The dogs were extremely anxious and nervous being in such a long line and in a small and cramped space. They were clearly not doing well. A staff member kindly asked the couple to bring the dogs outside. They were obviously not service dogs as they had no vest or badge and were clearly not trained to be calm in stressful situations. The couple then proceeded to lie and say they were service animals. The staff dropped it, but I feel that a sign may be helpful for the front door stating service animals only. It was uncomfortable to see these dogs in distress in such a small shop, they were whining and very anxious.

“Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I’ve been going here for a long time and have always gotten excellent customer service. The smoothies are also very good. Don’t listen to the bad reviews and try this place. You won’t regret it.“

“We came here on a warm spring day after lunch nearby. The store was very cute and clean. It was a little confusing at first on where to enter to order; there were two aisles leading to the counter. There were a few tables inside and outside. The service provided by the employee was friendly and quick.

I had the churro ice cream on a waffle cone; omg, that was so good and tasted like cinnamon toast crunch cereal in milk (as the employee had described). My toddler had the marshmallow sky ice cream, which had marshmallow and chocolate chip cookie dough; he loved it of course. The prices were steep but it was worth it. We ate our ice creams outside on their patio. I really enjoyed my visit and will be back on another cheat day!“

“I'm new in the Bristol area. One day I decided to come eat at friendlys and ever since I've been coming here. They are friendly here, the food is always fresh, neatly served and delicious. I love it and so does my 9 year old daughter. I'd recommend friedlys to others any day , and I do actually. My niece comes here too now with me all the time

Vegetarian options: I see they have broccoli and beef bites I haven't tried the new item yet but I'm sooo looking forward to it ! Yummy

“My current top hidden gem for amazing and authentic Mexican food. Hidden in La plaza del Mercado, this spot has the most amazing tripe soup, where the tripe was properly cleaned, no funky taste/smell, cooked perfectly tender. Great caldo de res as well, the meat was tender and had a strong beef flavor, soup was light and refreshing and the veggies provided a nice natural sweetness and the squash was incredible inside. Their tacos are great as well and their pricing is a bargain and their portions are quite good.“

“This place is iconic in its old school decor and wonderful food. You cannot create the wonderful ambiance of booths here. They actually know that eggs and breakfast potatoes can be prepared differently. The wait staff is excellent and knowledgeable. Go and enjoy their breakfast served all day. “I really like Sweet Frogs. I'm giving it a 4/5 stars since there were so many different flavors and different toppings. Flavors included the traditional ones; chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, along with other unconventnial ones (that were pretty tasty!); like Cotton Candy, Kool-Aid, and Eggnog. All of the flavors are very tasty. The toppings are also really good and there are so many to choose from like the Sour Strips, the Cherries (which seem to be fresh!), and even Strawberry Popping Boba (I believe that is kind of what it is called). The service is pretty good, all the employees are respectful to the customers and nice! The reason I'm giving four stars instead of 5 is since it's really pricey and expensive. “probably not no. just entering the establishment their was paper towels all over the place and every surface was sticky, got up to the counter it was well over a half hour in line grabbing our purchase for one bowl I chose the fruity pebbles roll. the quality was very good of the ice cream. behind the line it looked clean but personally I think these young folks that work their need to try and fit some lobby maintenance here and their. I know it's rough sometimes. but those kids definitely were working their butts off every associate their was friendly too. but the entry was unesthetically pleasing.“
