“5/5 on taste and looks this was really good!!! Things that I think can improve would be adding drinks like a milk choice. I think having food products you need drinks. And also the forks are really cheap and when the cakes are cold the fork given bends. I think this can be changed and doesn't change that the taste is amazing“

“Rocco's is a wonderful and friendly local bakery located In South Meriden CT. The prices are reasonable. Cash only (ATM machine inside). They carry pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, breads, etc. The service is great- Dorothy is super friendly. This is a grab and go place. There is no area to sit down with your treats and eat. The chocolate lemon pie is a favorite. They sell individual pieces of almond, tiramisu, etc. Everything we've purchased has been delicious. This is the only specialty bakery in the area. Highly recommend!“

“Our vendor for our wedding uses Modern Pastry for their wedding cakes. the tasting was so easy and great. we went with chocolate cake chocolate mousse. Our cake was phenomenal!! not only was it gorgeous and EXACTLY as we wanted..it was so delicious. the process was super easy and painless which is what every bride needs...everyone was extremely friendly. thank you so much!!!! highly recommended!!!“

“Tried the frozen Mac n cheese and it was absolutely delish! My son who is very picky had three helpings. Probably the best we’ve had. We miss the seafood newburg. “So, so good! I took a trip up to Brown Butter Creations after reading an article in Connecticut Magazine. It was definitely worth the trip! I'm normally not a whoopie pie fan, but their pumpkin woopie pie cake and filling was the best I've ever tasted. Everything I bought was super yummy, and you really can taste the brown butter difference. They have scone specials on Saturdays, so check their Facebook page. If you can't get there early, you can call your order in and they'll have it ready for you. Super friendly service. Wheelchair and walker accessible from the parking lot. Looking forward to my next visit!Wheelchair accessibility: No threshold or barriers between the parking lot and the sidewalk. Easy entry into the bakery. Did not see handicap spaces right in front of the bakery but there was plenty of parking out front.“

“I really love this little bakery. I was in a bind and needed a cake within two days and every other place that I contacted said they could not do what I needed. For reference it was a white cake, with a picture of Ronald McDonald on it with a raked texture and matching frame. So in my opinion it was a cake that was not complex, but for some reason the large grocery stores refused me. When I went in to Nonnie’s , everyone was so warm and kind. They were personable and became really invested in my silly McDonald's Birthday Cake Debacle. The cake was loved by all that ate it. Very light, but fulfilling. I would recommend anyone who needs baking done, to take a visit to Nonnie’s. “Oh. My. Goodness! The Pumpkin Brulee cheese cake (brulee'd to order I might add....and that smell was just HEAVEN) was amazing. It was super flavorful and creamy without being heavy. “This place is great! It had the "mom and pop" vibes that makes you know a bakery is going to be good. Service was good. Greeted immediately when I came in and she had good recommendations for what to buy to get myself to the credit card minimum. I was in and out in under three minutes. The food here is INCREDIBLE. I had a crumb cake and it was perfect in every way. My sister had a cannoli and said it was the best she's ever had. I felt that the brownies were too thin and dry, but the flavor profile was good.“

The cake looked nothing like the image I sent her! The rudeness was so unnecessary. I am completely shocked as an owner how she conducted herself. I even told her yes the cake was beautiful but it was not what I sent her. She told me they can't get always get it to what the customer sends. In all fairness it was not even close to what I wanted as top decorations. She put 3 fresh flowers on the cake. She was dismissive right away. I also told her the cake was dry and no flavor, her response was of course it was. She tells me I knew this was going to be a problem from the geico. Who says that to their time customer? I could keep going but at this point she just doesn't care about her customers feelings and making them feel good when ordering a special customized cake for a special day. No heart.“

“Rare is the day I find a place I both want to keep secret so it doesn't get too busy when I visit and yet shout from the rooftops how amazing it is. I just had hands down the best Ham ans Cheese croissant and Macaroon I have every had. “I see this bakery's bread and rolls at other markets -. It is that good. I went there on Good Friday for a coffee and toasted roll. They had about ten huge Easter baskets on table for sale. Bakery was decorated festively for the holiday. I was tempted to but a bag of cookies imported from Portugal, will soon.“

“Five stars for the chicken cutlet grinders alone. Don't think I've had a better cutlet in the region. They will customize your sandwich any way you like, and also have a really nice selection of both fresh and frozen prepared foods like broccoli rabe, eggplant parm, chicken parm, arancini, macaroni/potato salads, etc. Staff has always been incredibly friendly and quick.
