“Great food perfect place for a family reunion“

“We had a wonderful small family reunion in a private room last night! Staff was courteous, joyful and perfectly attentive! Very refreshing. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!“

“The pizza is fantastic! I rank it right up with the big 3 in New Haven. So good that I would have to sit down and compare it directly to let's say Pepe's to determine which is better. It's inside a fantastic, and quite large sportsy bar with plenty of room for families.
Service was sub par, the young lady at the front was watching something on her phone and did not even acknowledge our presence. Thankfully the young man who was cooking came over and took our order.
If this was my place, she would be fired. But it's not, so I won't hurt their rating due to her poor judgement.
Again pizza is better than anything within several towns.
It's a Friday evening dinner time and this place is steady but not crowded.“

“I've tried several entrees (chicken allegro, eggplant, lobster ravioli) and everything has been perfectly prepared. The chef pays attention to every little detail. Portions are significant. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Staff is attentive and friendly. Interior is suitable for a casual dinner or more formal event. Easily my favorite Italian restaurant in town.“

“Sfogliatelle! They offer it frozen! Get it, pop it in your air fryer until golden brown and enjoy feeling like you are in heaven. It’s filled fully with great quality cheese and orange peel. It’s frozen so you can keep it on hand and feel free to lie to your friends that you made it. Best enjoyed alone with a cup of coffee on a quiet morning.“

“I would walk 500 miles... Well maybe not walk 500 miles. But I will drive 350 miles round trip. Just to have dinner at one of my favorite Restaurants in my old neighborhood. Congrats to Kenny and his culinary and service team. Dinner for my party of 4 was delicious. The 3 specials Short Rib Ravioli, Chicken & Sausage Paella, and the Baby Rack of Lamb. The 4th dinner was our longtime favorite Gnocchi Sorentino. Walked out bellies full and pallets completely satisfied. Oh yeah, don't forget the Fried Burrata. Anytime I'm in Brookfield I will visit Portobellos. Love this place.“

“We went for an early dinner Saturday afternoon our anniversary. Our server was Lance and he was fantastic. We really enjoyed our meals including the rum cake for dessert we go again in a heartbeat.“

“Did Uber for a friend who resides in a nursing home. He said everything was delicious and plenty of leftovers too (great portions). He had the clam chowder, stuffed salmon with crabmeat and shrimp, a side of white rice, and cheesecake. Definitely will order again and looking forward to tasting many of the other menu items.“

We said we would come in this week snd try out the new restaurant. We had told Hector the we loved clams casino and he remembered and even though they were not on the menu he brought some to us from Flair. They were excellent. We also had the best chicken dish ever which was called chicken fratellis. It was very obvious that Hector and his family bent over backwards to ensure our experience was amazing and.......it was. “This was the first time that myself and my family decided to go to Violis. We had family visiting from Italy and it was very difficult to find a restaurant open on a Monday in my area. It's always a challenge when you find a new place cuz you have no idea how the food is going to be. To our surprise, everything was fantastic! From the servers to the person filling our Waters every time our Waters were empty. And most importantly the food was exceptional. “Love this place, perfect lunch spot while working on the road. The steak sandwich.It is quite different from most places. This is not shaved steak, but cut very thinly. They roast your own peppers, which are excellent. There veal cutlet is also very good. They offer hot plates throughout the week that changes every day. It's a very authentic italian deli“
