“The Fried Calamari, Greek & regular salad plus a sausage, mushroom and onion pizza off the chart’s delicious! My partner is a NY pizza snob and I grew up on Wooster Street pizza, etc. By far Grand Apizza in Deep River has the best and most delicious food. Plus they’re consistent in flavor, texture along with all the goodies.“

“We ended up ordering a large pepperoni pie and traditional buffalo wings and boy was this worth while. The consistency of the cheese on the pizza felt like I was in a teenage mutant ninja turtle episode with the cheese pulls. The wings were the PERFECT level of crispy and balanced out with the buffalo sauce. Price is definitely worth the visit. They also offer traditional Latino dishes which look like they're made authentically, so we will be stopping by again! Great mom &pop shop to visit!“

I saved half for lunch today. The best part? it was JUST as delicious upon reheat as it was last night!!! it wasn't soggy. It did not fall apart. Most importantly, it was so so good!!! There's nothing I would have added or taken away. I can't wait to get it again! Since I haven't left a review on this page specifically yet, I'll add that the wings here are phenomenal!! There's many kinds but garlic parm is my fav. So, if you're looking for a good wing spot in this neck of the woods - look no further!“

“This place is more for take out, but they gave a few tables inside and some picnic tables outside. The service was great took our order and the pizza was ready in no time at all. Their NY style pizza was authentic I was able to fokd their slices in half and the cheese to topping ratio was perfect. The staff was very friendly as well. We onky had pizza this time, but plan to go back and try other items on the menu. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends.“

We ate in and the gentleman that served was were extremely nice and polite. When I went to pay the bill I looked at the kitchen and it was VERY clean!!! If I lived here I would come again!!! “That was tasty! We got the vegetable and chicken platter, side of meatballs, and eggplant parm entree and the portions were big and easily shareable. Loved the tomato sauce! “We found another one of the Greats today! Grand Apizza started off in the 1950’s and was in New Haven for 50 years! Then the dad, Fred Nuzzo sold the building and moved to Clinton. The same pizza and they opened 3 restaurants, Clinton, Guilford and Madison. The dad went to Clinton and so did we. Let me just say… the pizza is so good! The sauce is top 5. Endless crispy crust perfectly made… and tasty saucy sauce. The garden pie was also quite special with just the right amount of tangy balsamic vinegar! I was super happy to meet Fred’s son, Mike. You can tell he is very humble and proud of their amazing piece of pizza history. Legendary pizza today. 9.7 solid score for the cheese. The tomato pie was a 10. Perfect 10. It’s something that can only be experienced verses spoken about. The garden veggie was an 8.3. “We have been enjoying Chow for years and everything we have ever had from them has been delicious but yesterday… Father’s Day, they went above and beyond! They were packed and after waiting for a while for my take out order (understandable for a busy night) they confessed and profusely apologized because in the rush of the busy evening one of my pizzas had been dropped. Without missing a beat they promised my pizzas would be remade and delivered to my house…. Half hour away!!! That is stellar customer service!!! Met a woman from Branford who comes especially for their Broccoli & Tunasalad a ***** always fresh. The homemade dressings delish especially the Honey Lime my favorite. Yes standing in line is never easy but servers work very hard to keep up with food requests & always willing to make the selections exactly as requested. We on the Shoreline fortunate to have such a great place to order such a variety of home cooked food.“
